  2. Teddy roosevelt cottonwood is one of our favorites, ever. The northern badlands are desolate. And, extremely beautiful. Medora is a tourist town, imo. We had bison next to the rv in cottonwood. Keep the dogs on a leash, keep an eye out, and move them inside ahead of issue. Ingomar is a great lunch stop. The burger and ice cream stop, plus quirky ambience, is worth the dusty road. The tetons in May are amazing. Again. we had bison walking through our site. Grizzlys on the road. We've never been late enough to drive the going to the sun road in full.post photos, please, if you get to the end. Sherry

  3. John, Though we try different routes each time, still catching up with family and friends along the way, we have yet to drive the Dempster. If we did, I'd leave my trailer in Dawson, or at yukon river park, and sleep in the truck. From what I have heard from conversation, that road, past eagle, can be a real tire shredder. I'll deal with four tires... not more. Up to tombstone, in decent weather is easy... so i hear. People I have met drove up and back, in passenger cars. Maybe someday. As we've driven most roads, already . My favorite Alaska roads are the fifty miles of the Richardson highway, approaching valdez. Those 50 miles are some of America's best views, imo. Lots of great pullouts for overnights. Especially, the 1890something gold rush pass lookout . In clear days, it's just amazing. On crappy days, it's just clouds and gray. And sometimes, snow, early season. . Timing's everything . Second is the gravel denali highway. Only 100 miles or so, but worth a night or two, if you have the time, and tankage. Lots of beautiful pullout spots to camp. We spend a disproportionate time of our trip each year in the relatively empty Yukon, and almost as empty northern bc. We find the Canadian roads to be better, gas is of course higher, but the camping experience is amazing. Sherry

  4. The sculptures are interesting, but the two ends of the hi-way are tough points to work into a trip. There isn’t much of a draw to the area, hence the construction of the sculptures to draw tourists off of the freeway. I was checking out pheasant hunting spots for a fall hunting trip when we drove it last summer. Stopped to look at these birds too.

I’m not sure what you are talking about with “ locking collar and springed rings”. edit: I re-read your original post and now understand you reference to springed rings and locking collar, sorry. I do believe the problem is the hose you bought has a 3/8” male quick connect fitting and the Oliver comes with 1/4” female quick connect fittings. Mossey

  6. My Ollie requires a type 250 male quick connect fitting on the accessory hose in order to plug into the type 250 female quick connect fitting mounted on the tongue. For my hose, it does not matter if the gas shutoff lever on the female fitting is on or off. I slide the locking collar toward the inside of the trailer, plug in the hose and slide the collar back toward the outside. Look for a type 250 or 1/4” male quick connect fitting. Mossey

  7. My sister told me about the Enchanted Highway in North Dakota, which extends from the towns of Regent to Gladstone, off of I-94. The road has a series of large sculptures made from scrap metal. I have not been there, but the photos look very interesting.

  9. I’ve moved mine under the dinette on the outside wall and mounted with Command strips. I can see the display from the door during setup at a campsite.
