We just got a new Kitten. We retired in January of 2025 and shortly after our old cat passed away. It was the first time in over 30 years we didn’t have a pet and we thought we would do some traveling. It’s been 9 months and our house feels empty without out our old cat. so we decided to get a Kitten. He will be coming home as soon as he is weaned, about 2 more weeks. Is anyone traveling with a cat and how do you deal with his litter box? Thanks Bill, Nancy

I have repeatedly stated how the Cielo Breez Max thermostat is effective in resolving inherent humidity spikes due to the a/c supply fan running continuously in the Oliver. This particular device has a Comfy Mode feature that will turn off said fan in sync with the compressor and thus, significantly lessen moisture from being reintroduced back into the cabin space. I would like to share the results of a test performed yesterday as tangible proof of its effectiveness: As I rolled up to the COW Barn with my Starlink Mini’s new Standby Mode unpaused (low-speed data plan), the Cielo phone app was used to start the Drieha Atmos 4.4 from my vehicle to begin cooling. I spent about twenty minutes reorganizing inside the van before opening up the CB and entering the Oliver. I should mention we had a temperature drop from the day before, so not real hot (83°), but relative humidity was high (72%) (P1). The Atmos was still cooling in Comfy Mode (preset to turn off when temp falls below 76° and turn on when temp goes above 77°) and the Oliver was 77°/49% (temp/humidity) at entry per the Cielo’s display (P2). A few minutes later the Atmos turned off in total (supply fan and compressor), the display was 75°/45% (P3). As the interior temp increased the Atmos turned back on in total, the display was 77°/51% (P4). It is important to note that the humidity rose 6% during this total off period. The Atmos then turned back off in total, the display was 75°/47% (P5) with a 4% drop in humidity. I let the Atmos continue to cycle in like manner a while longer before switching from Cielo to remote operation (P6) set at 75°. Since the Cielo can still be used to monitor temp/humidity, at time of remote start the display was 75°/52% (P7) and the compressor shutdown soon after (supply fan continued to run). When the compressor came back on, the display was 76°/75% (P8). Yikes, a 23% spike in humidity! The compressor shutdown once again, the display was 75°/53% (P9) and back on again, the display was 76°/74% (P10); a 21% spike. Compressor off at 75°/53% (P11), on at 76°/72% (P12); a 19% spike. As demonstrated, it is evident that the Cielo’s Comfy Mode does in fact lessen those dreaded humidity spikes experienced at times, you be the judge!

@Ronbrink I get the same results using the Cielo in my garage with a mini split. Always had humidity spikes in there. Thanks for showing us the Cielo.

I admit it looks like that from my comment. I was answering Rivernerd as he has #1291 and lives in Idaho. We have #1290 and live in Oregon. We got the last of the 2022 production run and we're both fortunate to have gotten the Truma package of A/C, heater and water heater. #1292 might still be in the 2022 production run or it could be the first of the 2023 run. Yep, the exterior look is awesome, then it all goes downhill from there. I don't blame Oliver, I'm sure these changes to the windows were the last thing that they wanted to do...

I like the exterior look. The interior side, especially the valence? Not so much at all. To be honest the limited opening would seriously make me think twice about purchasing the trailer.

Earlier in the thread someone posted that the sliders aren't available now, so Oliver had to go with the awning style windows. Personally I like what we got in our hulls #1290 and 1291. John

It sure is! And as usual Geoff... You can wire anything that comes to mind (we are not worthy) 🤣! This is a GREAT upgrade for anybody who already has the PRO vs. the preferred PRO+. When we were shopping for ours two years ago, I came close, but soon realized the PRO+ included a wiring harness. Anybody reading not have one, OMG get one and pay $120 for the PRO+ vs. $100 for the PRO. I paid $102 Nov 2023 for the PRO+! I stay in the driver's seat of the truck to level. I open the app and move back and forth to get as close as possible. Then Chris gets out after I tell here where to place the Andersen levelers. When she gets them in place, I pull up or back depending and we can be at near perfect level, set the parking brake and we're done! Running this device on battery - OMG NEVER! I would be truly upset if the app could not find the device (for a dead battery). I wired ours under the rear dinette seat, where our B+ and B- buses are located in reach of the PRO+ included wiring harness (no splices or butt connectors required). The side of the PD ATS provided a good horizontal surface, installed in a just few minutes (see pic). For sure, we're all different! 🤣 At home 6 years ago, I removed our electric induction cooktop (it was an older cooktop, perhaps not the latest technology), ran natural gas pipe to a new cooktop. Then I used the 8 AWG wire that was for the cooktop and added a sub-panel so that our fridge and Emeril Oven would have their own 20A circuits! It's been a great kitchen mod and we would never go back. So, quite the opposite from Rob's comment. We like the simplicity of gas, what you see is the heat applied. And when camping, we must have LP for outdoor cooking, and our fire ring for sure. The LP Atwood furnace is another must have, don't want heat pump running above our heads! We're going to keep those two 30# LP tanks in addition to more/better batteries! We prefer the stainless sinks too, but can see how this would make installation easier and costs lower for OTT. This thread seems like fantasy-land to me. Out of all of us reading and writing, who is in the market for a new Oliver anyway? Not us! There is only room in life for one Oliver, for sure. I'm truly glad we prefer what we already have with mods already made. It's like when OTT went to touch lights, nothing but problems. Our old switched lights, working now 10 years, and would not change a thing. Don't want those new windows either! 🤣

I thought about the mod many of you have gone with and decided to go with the standard configuration. The end bolts are easier forward facing and the shackle bolts are easy enough with an elbow fitting and power grease gun. Takes a bit of extra reach or climbing under when the Zerks are facing inwards. Half the time when lubing, I’ll likely have the wheels off anyway to check brakes, adjust the “self-adjusters”, check the tires thoroughly, pressure wash the backsides, and remove all the annoying gravel (when doing so, I’ve found countless nails and other metal objects in tire treads. BTW, pulling and replacing wet bolts is NOT easy, as the bolt alignment is not always there. 🤣

It looks like cooler temps there with the way everyone is dressed. That’s camping weather!

God’s country with great people and taking time to enjoy! Chris calls this camp “Our Place!” We hiked today and found 2-3 backup campsites down our small FS road, with great views along the way!

If it wasn’t for my bad directions, mountain rains, wet dirt roads and no cell reception at 8900+ ft in the Arizona White Mountains, we would have had three Ollies together! Ollie #113 is on way to meet new friends tomorrow! We were here just 2 weeks ago. Was our last stop on the way home, and this time our first stop on the way out, 3 1/2 hours from home. Great place! Last time we bought two nice samples of finished Pertrifed Wood. Wonderful Mother & Daughter running the shop! Free Parking on the east side of the park road. $25 for electric on the other side. And if your comin’ here, don’t take my corner spot! 🤣 Nice pics, huh?
