  1. As Mike mentioned and I agree LP tank theft is not a big issue, and likely will never be if you secure your tanks. For a 5 minute mod why not? We always make it a point when the opportunity presents, to kindly great our camping neighbors and say hello. As for RV theft...very rare, so no worries here.
  2. Bill, Thank you, I appreciate the heads up. Done! David
  3. NCeagle - I used four pieces of fine SS wire. Looped it through the screen back out to a fastening point on the screen twisted it together snug and snipped the excess wire. Done. You would have to look hard to see the wire.

  7. NCeagle -This is what I use for stationary or campsite use. I am not quite sure what you mean while out driving? When in transport I unplug the gen, I secure the cord. It stores nicely.
  8. hobo- This is what I use. Made right here in Raleigh, NC and not cheap. It’s a high quality cord. - Patriot

  16. We just joined Harvest Hosts this morning. We used discount code MARCH which dropped the annual membership to a one time new member price of $67.15. The regular price is $79 annually. It will be interesting to see how this works out for us. Using it once or twice will likely pay for itself and it surely will beat a Walmart or Cracker Barrel parking lot. Happy Travels!

  20. hobo, We use a combination of a small plastic folding table we purchased at Walmart and a picnic table when available unless we are boondocking. Naturally this does not bridge the rear bumper. I usually set up our Weber Q1200 on this table. It is a little over knee high with the legs fully extended and holds our grill at just about the right height to cook on. The table is light weight and folds in half and has telescopic legs. Nothing super fancy, but it really has worked out well. I feel sure others will have suggestions on what works for them. Hope this helps.
  21. This option only cost me a firearm cable lock and 5 minutes to drill (2) holes. I agree $84 is a lot for the TorkLift tank lock. Just a thought.
  22. Decided to install the BuiltRight mounting bracket on our F250 dash today so we could mount our 890RV gps. We decided to go with a little different approach on mounting location after mocking up a few different locations. We settled on dead center. Surprisingly there is no line of sight hinderance for me in this location due to the cab height. The screen is very accessible and we are really happy with the location. After a drive around our neighborhood and secondary roads I can report a solid mount and no screen bounce. Still have room for the Ollie rear view cam on the w/s. vid- A few photos....
