  1. Mike, Are you happy with how this gutter strip around your windows performed? It looks great. I am thinking about ordering a roll of this for the Ollie we have on order. Lots of positive reviews. Thanks in advance, David
  2. Steve, Thank you for your kind words. Next time your in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills, it would be a pleasure to meet you. David
  3. Matt, Having just placed our deposit/order for a 2020 Oliver Elite ll, what you stated above is exactly why we chose Oliver. My wife and I were very impressed with the plant tour seeing most if not all that goes into building the finest travel trailer made. It’s very apparent to us, Oliver takes pride in their product and backs it with stellar customer service. We are looking forward to delivery day and we are already booked for the National Rally in Guntersville. David & Kathy
  4. This is what I am ordering for our Ollie while parked at the campground. These are very strong locks. Do not loose the key. https://www.provenlocks.com/products/model-2178-b And this will be used while towing-
  5. David it was Actually $80 with tax. Sorry my math error.
  6. During a recent holiday sale we ordered this Outlander fire bowl for $75.00 off Amazon. It has a lot of great reviews and could come in handy during a wood fire ban at a campground. It arrived in perfect condition and fired up nicely and has a carry handle. It packs up nice and is fairly light but well built. Nothing beats a beautiful wood campfire, but in a pinch this sure beats looking at the ground or not having a fire at all. Based on how easy it lights, packs up and stores I would buy it again. Hope this helps anyone considering a propane fire pit. Happy Camping!
  7. Just another possibility. Not a bicycle rack for the back receiver hitch of an Ollie, but one I configured for our Tundra bed. Just an alternative thought here. This set up works great and keeps our bicycles secure, out of sight, and most of all clean. It has kept the bikes secured in location with no issues. The Aluminum plate is mounted to a rubber horse stall mat. (Tractor supply). Hope this might help someone wanting to carry bikes in your pickup bed rather than the back of the Ollie. Our Tundra has an ARE Z series topper.
  8. Mike, Thank you! We look forward to meeting you and Carol!
  9. Greetings again from Western North Carolina! After taking the factory tour on Jan 21, we placed our order with Anita yesterday afternoon for a March 12 build date with a May 12 delivery date. After placing our order we went ahead and booked our camp site at Guntersville State Park for the May Oliver Rally. We are excited about meeting our new extended Oliver family at the rally, learning as much as we can and most of all fostering new friendships. Thanks to everyone on this forum for the knowledge you share. A special thanks to Topgun aka Bill for just taking his time to show us his Oliver aka “Twist” and all his help getting us started on this next chapter in life. Bill you really did a great job showing us your Ollie. We really look forward to delivery day and the Oliver Rally and especially meeting everyone and learning as much as we can. Yes we know delivery day will be like drinking water from a fire hose, surely we’ll get through it. 😂 We feel very confident the Oliver folks will take good care of us. Kind Regards & Happy Camping! David & Kathy Austin
  10. Congrats on placing your new Ollie order.
  11. Trainman, Did you get this issue resolved? Did the new parts work? Any updates? I had the exact same problem with a Max Air fan on a smaller camper. Ours shut down and beeped a few times waking us up out of a deep sleep. The dealer replaced the board and it fixed the problem. Hopefully yours will get resolved as well.
  12. PM sent. We own a Tundra Crew Max and have a few Tundra TV questions. Thank you.
  13. It also appears that the standard hot water propane/electric hot water heater is easier to have serviced opposed to searching for a Truma dealer/technician should a problem arise. All interesting comments, thoughts and feedback very much appreciated. Thank you.
  14. Ollie owners that have the Truma hot water on demand system: how do you like it? Any reliability issues or concerns? Are you happy overall with the Truma system? We are new prospective buyers and we are going over our build sheet, thoughts and feedback very much appreciated. Thanks in Advance. David
  15. We asked about a surge protector on the Oliver during our Jan 21 factory tour. We were told by Anita that the 2020 Oliver has a surge protector built in and is standard.
  16. The plant production manager told us during our most recent Jan 21 plant tour they are using butyl tape to seal the window frame to the outer shell. I ordered and today received rain gutter material in advance prepping for our delivery in early May. So I am open to pointers/suggestions on install. It appears to be straight forward. First I will need to get this roll warmed up and straightened out.
  17. Greetings from Western NC, This past Monday my wife and I traveled from our home in Western NC to visit the Oliver manufacturing facility Tuesday, Jan 21. The trip was an easy drive of approx 450 miles to the OTT plant. We were able to see the Oliver’s that were completely finished as well as those in production. It was absolutely well worth it the time spent. Our sales person Anita Johnston spent most of the day with us and really did a great job answering all of our questions as we toured the plant and viewed Oliver trailers on site. Most importantly we never felt rushed or pressured to place and order which really was a plus. All of the staff including production manager Bill Pearce were really a pleasure to speak with. The attention to detail by plant employees was very impressive and really added to the wow factor. We learned a lot on this plant tour about superior fit and finish and most of all the pride taken by Oliver in hand crafting the finest travel trailer in the world. If you have not yet toured the Oliver manufacturing plant and are considering placing an order, we highly recommend taking the tour. Again a special thank you to “Topgun2” for encouraging us to do the plant tour and spending time with us showing us his Oliver! Post OTT plant tour we now are more informed before making our final decision. Happy Camping! David & Kathy Austin
  18. I have one I purchased last summer for our former camper which was not an Ollie. It’s a very well built strong heavy lock. I am confident it would likely cause a thief to move on to an easier target. If you decide on one don’t ever loose the keys. It’s a very pricey coupler lock at 210.00 plus shipping. It mounts up quickly and efficiently. They have a few interesting videos on their website of how quickly other competitor coupler locks are quickly defeated. Hope this helps. Congrats on the Ollie!! My wife and I are on schedule today with Anita for the Ollie factory tour mid morning. Chilly here..@23 degrees and 37 the high.. Brrrrrrrr!!! David
