    Marc, welcome to the group! You'll find several different opinions on gas grills. I have a Weber Q1000 and several others also have a Weber Q series grill. They don't work directly off a propane quick connect out of the box. It takes about 10 minutes to modify it to work, you have to remove the regulator and put on a quick connect, parts are easy to find. This was last month in Joshua Tree NP, California - got the Weber fired up for breakfast. Mike

    Hey and welcome back. Have seen you over on Airforums, I go there for good general RV information - there are friendly folks there too. We're on our way back from Southern California and Arizona - we camped with some other Olivers. There's an Oliver rally in Hohenwald in May - a shiny Airstream would be noticeable! Mike

    This little Vornado has three power levels, 750, 1150 and 1500. We don't run it all night when boondocking, usually just the furnace in the morning to warm things up. I haven't seen any voltage before sunrise - just the back of my eyelids!! We did run it all night last night but we've got hook ups here. It's 38 out right now and we ran it on low all night, woke up to 65. It's very quiet. Mike

    Late congratulations! Looks great. We've been on the road... We got a small Vornado space heater that works well when it's cold. We do use the furnace when it gets below freezing. It's 41 here right now, should dip into the 30's tonight. Here's a pic I just took, not sure the model number. It's keeping us warm and snug. Mike

    This morning at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in far southwestern Arizona. A cactus, a rainbow and two Olivers, the Lonestar Oliver and the Outlaw Oliver.

    We have been camping this week in Joshua Tree NP and there are no cell towers to be seen! Now that we're back in civilization I'm catching up on the goings on here.... As the originator of this thread, here are my thoughts. The streaking is an annoyance and not something I'm worked up over. I was curious if it was just me or if there were others. I did contact Jason about it and he said they are working it. Good enough for me. I will be working my own solution in the mean time as soon as we get home. There are some good ideas in this thread. We showed our trailer multiple times last week in Quartzsite. A quick wipe got rid of the streaks. I don't assume that the folks at OTT read all the post on this forum. As was pointed out, this is mainly for owners and guests wanting to learn and explore. I've had other trailer issues that I went directly to Tommy and Jason with via email, text and phone calls and always got good results. OTT customer service is top notch. Mike

    There are three Olivers here at the Fiberglass Gathering in Quartzsite. Two of us have the new lights and both have had streaking problems since we picked up. One has the old lights and he has never had a problem. Mike

    If the manufacturer isn't going to replace the gaskets it seems like Oliver could just buy a new batch. I'd be willing to pay to get rid of my streaks. We're out in the desert right now and I've got some light streaks just from condensation at night. I've also got some sealant in my Amazon cart that I will order when we start heading home. Mike

    I agree with all of the above. I keep it at or below 65 on the interstate. Usually slower on 2 lane roads. I'm not in a big rush, my gas mileage is decent and I feel there is more of a margin of safety. Even in west Texas where the speed limit is 80, 65 feels right. Mike

    Maybe May trailers got a bad batch of gaskets? Hap, good to know. I will look to get a tube. Hopefully, Jason will get some replacements soon.

    I emailed Jason and the he said the manufacturer is working on new gaskets. Mine bleed whenever wet, rain or washing. I washed it a few days ago after our trip west (when I took the picture) and had to go around after drying and wipe off the black. I do not believe it is a matter of breaking in the rubber and I do not believe it will go away with time. The rubber is acting like it is already old and deteriorating. When I rub my finger across the gasket it is not smooth like you would expect new rubber to be. Mike

    Bill, that's good news. Sounds like Jason is on this! We've had no issues with any leaking except for leaving a window open during a rainstorm! We're on the road now and just went through a few days of very high winds, rain, sleet and snow with lows in the high 20's. No issues with leaking. We also leave the bathroom vent open and have had no condensation issues. We run a small electric heater except when it dips below 30, then we use the furnace to keep everything between the hulls warm. Mike

    Malcolm, thanks for mentioning this to Jason. My first streaking occurred at Land Between the Lakes just 2 days after pickup during a rain storm. No salt in the air between Hohenwald and LBL. We've never been to the beach or close to salt water or the coast. I wash it after every trip. Our storage is under cover. The streaking happens during rain or whenever I wash it. Maybe those of us with this issue need to let Jason know about it. The rubber gasket acts like it is old and deteriorating. Mike

    Bill, I have thought about making my own gaskets as well. Can't be too difficult, the old ones can be the template. Just need to have the right material. Let us know what you find, I'll be researching too. Mike

    Buzzy, great information! Finding the right canine companion is a very personal endeavor and I like your thoroughness. We are dogless right now. We had a German Shepherd and my mother (lives next door) is on her 5th or 6th German Shepherd. My parents always used a reputable breeder and have had great dogs. We went from a German Shepherd to a Bichon Frise (a small 9 lb ball of white fluff). My dad used to call her the pseudo-dog. No shedding, great little companion and easy to travel with. Our grand dogs are rescue dogs. When our son and his wife were deployed to Afghanistan we kept them for 2 years. These dogs are obviously mixed breed but are smart and great companions (and free). Here's a pic from when we had them last month for a couple of weeks. Good luck on finding a new companion. Little Buzzy will always be a special memory and your new one will be a new adventure! Mike

    I've been using regular car wash when I wash it. On our trip home from picking up we had rain and that's when I first noticed this and that was just 3 days after pick up. It's the rubber gasket because after I wash it I have to wipe the black off and if my microfiber towel contacts the gasket it gets black. After it's all dry I usually go around and wipe the streaks off. We've been traveling for a couple of weeks now and have had rain and hail, so besides just being dirty I have streaks under each light. The rubber should be more durable. We'll be home in a week or so and will get everything cleaned up. May try to find some kind of rubber conditioner or sealer, unless someone has a better solution. Mike

    The black gaskets around all of my porch lights bleed black whenever they get wet. Does anyone else have this problem? Considering they are fairly new and under cover when not out on the road it doesn't seem possible they could be breaking down already. Thoughts?

    That's going to look great! Very unique. I see you've got the same squeegee I used. Hardest part was getting it where we wanted it, straight and centered. Go slow and take the backing off as you go. Cant' wait to see it mounted. Mike
