  1. We’ve got a 2016 and have close to 100K miles. No axle issues. I’m not aware of any other older trailers with axle issues either. I will be replacing our brakes in the spring. As soon as I decide on which quiet AC to get I’ll replace our jet-engine Dometic, although is still cools fine. I’ve replaced the inverter, batteries, 7pin connector, power inlet on the side of the trailer and a few other small items that simply wore out. Are there other areas you are concerned with? I feel like I’ve got ours broken in pretty well as we start our 8th year. Mike
  2. John - so sorry circumstances require you to sell your Oliver! I hope whatever health issues are contributing aren’t serious and improve. You should have a quick sale! Take care - Mike
  3. Looks like a great rally! I think regional rallies are a great way to get “neighbors” together. Mike
  4. We have a Black Rifle coffee shop downtown in our little town of Boerne, TX. It’s more popular than the Starbucks on the other side of the freeway and is a great place to have a cup. The coffee is good, you can order the strength you like. We like it. Mike
  5. I didn’t drill any holes. The switch sits on top of the middle battery inside the battery box. Not fancy but functional and easy, Mike
  6. Installing a switch is just a matter of disconnecting cables from the battery and reconnecting to the switch. The challenge for me was just figuring out the best spot for the switch! Mike
  7. Looks like you did a great job!
  8. Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear your Q7 is doing the job. We’ve owned a bunch of Audi’s since our first new one in 1976! Keep us updated on your travels. Mike
  9. Diesel is $2.99 at our Walmart, Quick Stop and HEB (Supermarket).
  10. We’ve found that Loves and the other major truck stops almost always have high diesel prices. I always look for a Walmart, prices are always low. On major routes most small towns have a Walmart close by, gives us a chance to walk around a bit too. Even better are Buc-ee’s, always low price diesel, just not a lot of them around yet. Quik Stops and supermarkets are also lower price. Mike
  11. My guess without seeing the cover is that it is Pete Marks, @bugeyedriver. He’s a HAM guy and mentioned being on the cover. Mike
  12. Brian - three bolts, all with their own washers and nuts. I drilled up through the fiberglass, then through the bottom of the box. I had the box clamped to the tongue. The hardware is stainless steel with neoprene washers on the aluminum. Mike
  13. Congratulations! Hope to see you out on the road - Mike
  14. Great mod opening up some more storage space! It’s now on my to-do list. Mike
  15. Ours travels on the floor of the closet. Carol has cooked up some great chili in ours, among other dishes. Mike
  16. Bill, which model do you have? Mike
  17. Exciting! Keep us all updated, there’s a lot of interest. Mike
  18. Assuming you have AGMs now, I would wait until they’re at end of life and then replace with lithiums. That’s what I did. It would be nice to source our own USA lithium and make our batteries here. Mike
  19. I’m on my third switch. I now carry a spare. Mike
  20. Thanks, Craig. I’ll work on my screen name vs real name recall! Mike
  21. Not sure who Craig is, I’ll check with Jason.
  22. Yep. The site we were in was reserved before the cutoff. We normally just reserve after we arrive at the rally. Not this year. Mike
  23. How does Oliver recommend disabling the 7pin?
