I agree with the above comments. Something very unusual would need to happen to interfere with your delivery date. I also agree that if you have time you should spend more than one night in the area. April is just around the corner! Mike

I replaced the gear box, the operating arms are fine. You can do it from the top without removing the whole fan. I took the entire fan out to clean it thoroughly. I have a thread on here somewhere, I’ll look for it. Mike

The outlet between the bath and closet is what Carol uses to blow dry her hair. We also have an outlet in the closet at the lower shelf for the handheld vac. Also, one in the attic, one under the curbside bed and the normal kitchen and dinette outlets. I think we all get used to what we have. Mike

We've been using the same Weber Q1000 since we got our trailer. They are plenty durable. I also have a griddle insert that I can use on one half of the Weber when I don't want to break out the Blackstone. I prefer grilling meats, but the griddle comes in handy for breakfast with bacon, eggs and more. Mike

Quick connects are one of the more useful things I’ve added, they really do help as we get older and less flexible! Also, I keep a foam knee pad in the basement for those time I do need to get down. Mike

Hull 135 still doesn’t have an on board EMS. The PD power pole unit has worked well. This thread has me thinking though….. Mike

I replaced my original tires (BF Goodrich) somewhere between 5 and 6 years. There was lots of tread left but they were starting to show some small cracking close to the wheels. They probably had about 60K miles on them. I used Discount Tire. Mike

Looks like a nice box. Pretty expensive though. My $150 Amazon aluminum box has done well the last 5 or 6 years.

The range extender does take up valuable bed space. Plus, it would get frustrating having to stop and charge, maybe even needing to disconnect the trailer to get into some chargers. Lots of RV’s in the western US and even if every gas station had chargers it would take a while waiting for the charging process to finish. I can fill my diesel tank in a lot less time. Mike

The reason I posted this is because a lot of us like to discuss new technology. There’s no suggestion that this would apply to the construction of an Oliver, it’s about a potential tow vehicle. I have no personal experience in working with steel or stainless steel as you do, I’m just going by the Tesla information that their truck panels are a special alloy that can’t be handled like normal SS. Here’s the LOLOHO video…. It includes the Tesla footage, at about 3.5 minutes in a guy is shooting at the side and that’s followed by Joe Rogan trying to pierce the side with an arrow.

Video shows a number of weapons being fired at the side of the truck with no penetration. Dents, but the bullets did not penetrate.

Agree that for RV towing these trucks are a definite no-go. The reason it is so angular is because the stainless steel panels are not bendable, but they are bullet proof!

Our trailer has USB A ports. The oval end means you have a USB C cord. USB A to C adapters are available on Amazon and other places so you should be good. Mike

Pete, it is just two doors down from us, on the corner of Keeneland and Delta Dawn. It drove by yesterday and then we saw it on our walk parked in the driveway later in the day. Mike

We have a Cybertruck in our neighborhood, drove by it this morning. It is larger in person than I thought it was. LOLOHO just did a 20 minute video on it, Sean is on the wait list and wants to try it towing his 25’ Airstream. It’s a good video if you’re interested in the Tesla truck. I’m not there yet, too much camping in the west where even gas stations can be hard to find! Mike

Many years of Boy Scouting established a deep knowledge of campfires in my brothers and me. Same for my Eagle Scout son. Hopefully the California permitting process includes some safety information/training/guidelines. Mike
