  1. We have a Cybertruck in our neighborhood, drove by it this morning. It is larger in person than I thought it was. LOLOHO just did a 20 minute video on it, Sean is on the wait list and wants to try it towing his 25’ Airstream. It’s a good video if you’re interested in the Tesla truck. I’m not there yet, too much camping in the west where even gas stations can be hard to find! Mike
  2. Congratulations! That’s quite a Christmas Present!! Mike
  3. Many years of Boy Scouting established a deep knowledge of campfires in my brothers and me. Same for my Eagle Scout son. Hopefully the California permitting process includes some safety information/training/guidelines. Mike
  4. Wow, first I’ve heard of this. Does this include propane grills and fire pits? Are there other normal human actions that require permitting in California? Any other states do this? Mike
  5. Congrats on the upcoming birth! I agree with Bill’s comments. - I’ve used the onboard jacks numerous times to get the tires off the ground for various reasons. - We have the regular toilet (NH not available in 2015), but I think you want to keep your composter as dry as possible. - We titled our babies in the states they were born in, one in Georgia and one in Hawaii. Our trailer is titled in Texas.🤪 - Call Lake Guntersville State Park and make a reservation, the park will be full for the rally. You can cancel or offer you space to late comers if you decide not to attend. Registration with Oliver is separate, they haven’t opened it up yet. Have fun learning about babies and Olivers! Mike
  6. One of the advantages of having a vintage model!
  7. Not that I’m aware of, yet. Waiting for the company announcement!
  8. You can deal with the factory or go to any authorized dealer. Warranty service can still be done at a local business and reimbursed by Oliver. Mike
  9. It will be quite a Christmas present! Enjoy your pick up and orientation! Mike
  10. That Escape add is a bit corny, doesn’t really highlight the trailers just the silly bear. Mike
  11. This is exactly what happened to me. Insulation worn, wires shorting, no brakes. New wires routed on the outside of the axle solved the issue. Mike
  12. I don’t think we’ll see any Camping Worlds. They are working with smaller dealers. I know one they are working with in Texas is a small family dealer. Mike
  13. Great graphics! Love the holiday cheer!!
  14. It was a great bonding experience having you both here! We were glad you had not headed on to AZ before your retina detached. Do you feel like tackling another project? 🤣🤣Mike
  15. They are working with a number of dealers around the nation, the timeline for each will be different.
  16. Yes, we got down to single digits way down here in San Antonio during that deep freeze.
  17. I’m sure you could check with Oliver for a replacement. Mine is not a heavy duty tool, can’t be too expensive. I have had to use mine when a back jack popped off the gears when in the up position. Took a few turns to get things back on track. Mike
  18. This has been my method for the last 8 years. No issues. Mike
  19. David sold his trailer some time ago and hasn’t been here since. You might try sending him a PM. He was a great contributor to the forum and a great photographer! Mike
  20. That’s a tough request, it depends…. There is such a difference in parks in east Texas, west Texas, along the gulf coast, etc. Palmetto is a good choice. Others to consider would be Palo Duro Canyon SP near Amarillo and Caprock Canyon SP (lots of Bison). Davis Mountain SP in west Texas is close to Big Bend NP, Marfa and Alpine. Mustang Island SP and Goose Island SP on the coast are nice if you like the beach. In east Texas on the LA border is Caddo Lake SP (only natural lake in Texas), totally different than any other Texas SP. There are so many more that we’ve been to, it’s hard to make recommendations for just one. Maybe others will chime in with their experiences and recommendations. Mike
  21. I don’t think it’s in Oliver’s mindset to cut costs by using inferior components. These obviously didn’t work out. I think they should stay with the original lights, 8 years and ours have never failed. Mike
  22. Hey Heather and Eric - congrats! Look forward to meeting you. See you out on the road somewhere! Mike
  23. Happy Thanksgiving fellow campers and travelers! We’re home this year (although we considered joining our son and family who are camping this week at Grand Canyon NP). I’ll be smoking two 12lb free range turkeys on the Primo ceramic this year. We’ve been doing two turkeys for quite a while, one inside in the oven and one outside on the smoker. The smoked turkey always wins the taste test, so we’ll just do both outside on the smoker this year! Mike
  24. Oh the things we learn here. Excellent explanation! Mike
  25. I had the same issue with the T fitting coming out of the hot water tank. The plastic cracked just enough to cause a steady drip. We discovered it on the way home after a long trip so I fixed it after we got home. Replaced the plastic with brass. Mike
