Our interstates are like driving on the Ford test track. We have had hinge screws come loose on the upper cabinets. We put locktite on them and that solved that issue We are on our third microwave frame. 2 replaced under warranty and some shoring up by Oliver. Better, but cracking on the corners again. That's the roads. As owners, checking fasteners, electrical connections, fuse connections, etc. should be on everyone's preventative maintenance list.

The top 3 portable EMS surge protectors are Southwire Surge Guard, Hughes Watchdog EPO, and Progressive. I can only speak for the Hughes Watchdog. It has the EPO feature which will shut off power to the trailer if there is an issue, and turn back on when all is well at the post. Mike Sokol would be a great addition for the Annual Oliver Rally speaking on topics we all run into. He is big on Southwires Surge Guard, but has stated that Hughes Watchdog EMS with EPO and the Progressive are all great portable EMS surge protectors. I get Mike's daily newsletter, access to his many articles, and I follow his Facebook site.

Another Oliver Owner had issues in a campground. He smelled burning under the Dinette. He didn't feel comfortable with electrical, so he hired a knowledgeable Mobile RV guy. This person went through everything and checked the transfer switch which was good. He found melted wires in the EMS. The mobile guy told him there was a good chance this wouldn't have happened if he had a good EMS surge protector at the post. The built in EMS saved his electronics. Contact a Mobile guy that knows electronics if you aren't comfortable. Again reach out to Steve Landrum.

The person that can provide the best electronic advise on the Forum is Steve Landrum. I would send him a message. He maybe camping somewhere. The transfer switch has been an issue until the supplier upgraded the switch. I also would suggest unhooking from shore power and checking the transfer switch wire connectors, and the EMS surge protector under the Dinette seat.

It is a good idea to use a high quality EMS Surge protector at the power pole. Surge Guard, Hughes Watchdog 30amp with EPO, or the Progressive are around $350+/- and they will stop low or high surges, and other issues that can damage our Oliver's, including lightening strikes and ground issues. Using a high quality EMS surge protector at the power post is highly recommended. An EMS surge protector such as a Hughes Watchdog 30amp with EPO will stop an issue at the post, shutting down power before damage is done at the trailer. Please make sure you have all of the facts before making comments that are wrong. I actually went back to the original link for the US Map and scrolled down to find the Canadian Map. I entered the Provinces and then copied it and pasted it into my signature. Thanks for the help.

Our fresh tank maxes out at 88%. I always overflow the tank and still 88%. Gray tank monitor was replaced under warranty. I just add 12% when looking at the fresh tank monitor.

Where can you find the Canadian map?

Happy with our 2013 F250, 6.2 gasser. If I needed a new truck, I would go either with the 250 or 350 gasser, with the shorter bed. Currently we have Crew Cab with 8' bed and it used to carry an 8' camper.

I did post this on RV Electric, Mike Sokol's Facebook site. One answer was "It appears to be the transfer switch, if there is one." UPDATE, saw you don't have the front plug or transfer switch, so that is out of the equation. The general tone was the original poster should join their Facebook group so that dialog is back and forth, as they felt there was conflicting comments from the OP. Keep us all posted.

That is an amazing area. It was probably in the '70's when I worked up there that I ate at some amazing Amish Restaurants.

I actually left Versailles SP off my list. We both enjoyed our stay there and would go back.

Indiana State Recreation Area Campgrounds: Salamonie Reservoir -North Racoon Lake -West Central Brookville Reservoir -East off I-74 near Ohio. Patoka Lake - South Central, near Jasper, IN Monroe Lake -South Central, near Bloomington These are all great campgrounds.

While 98% of Oliver Owners will probably never make Indiana a destination camping trip, the state offers some of the best camping in the Midwest. With access along I-80 and I-94 in the North, I-70 and I-74 across central Indiana, I-64 across the South. North-South on I-65 and the newly completed I-69. This provides easy access for a couple days during travel through Indiana. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) manages the Indiana State Parks and State Recreation Areas (SRA). All Indiana State Parks have electric, water throughout the campground, dump stations, and well maintained restrooms/showers. Some even have dedicated fresh water lanes just inside the campground and not connected to the dump station. From reservoirs to Lake Michigan, and beautiful canyons, and Indiana Limestone cliffs, there is a lot for everyone. Indiana Dunes SP and Indiana Dunes NP have great camping off Lake Michigan. No hook-ups in the National Park. Lake Michigan is a 5 minute walk from the State Park campground. By November we will have camped in all 22 state parks and a large number of the SAR's. Our favorites, North: Indiana Dunes SP, Potato Creek SP, and Pokegan SP. Central: Turkey Run SP, Prophets Town SP, South: Clifty Falls SP, O'Bannon Woods SP. Also, there is Lincoln SP. The Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial is just across the road from the State Park. South Central: Brown County SP near Bloomington. If you need info please feel free to reach out to me. Camden SP is beautiful. Drive up to the observation tower. Just North is a great restaurant with Lobster Rolls to die for. Micro brewery in town. Town is a nice place to stroll.
