  1. If the propane burner is running, I'm guessing a lot of sediment on the bottom of the tank...? Pull the anode rod, flush the tank, replace with new anode rod as needed.
  2. Was looking at the same thing. How about this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WENDUS/?coliid=I3M7OYXJTF68L3&colid=3HP9GD89VQ4XP&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it In the end, I think we're going to put a small cargo tray on the rear receiver and mount our bikes on top of our tonneau cover instead.
  3. I installed Latch.it locks on our fifth wheel and a fire department trailer. Very nice locks. The only problem I had was that the AA batteries they came with were junk.
  4. Lots of torque in electric motors so they are great at pulling things, but the range and recharging capabilities aren't where they need to be yet. At least not for RVing.
  5. Correct. It's disconnected because the lithiums can absorb power way faster than the vehicle alternator can handle. (My probably over-simplistic understanding of the engineering.)
  6. We've put metal stems on every trailer along with the TST sensors. As soon as we get Eggcelsior home, she's going to a tire shop for wheel balancing, metal stems, and chromed steel lug nuts.
  7. Liked others have said, all RVs leak. We are buying an LE2 for that exact reason. With our previous RVs there was always fear of the dreaded delamination of the walls because of a leak somewhere. That's not possible with an Oliver. As my wife keeps telling me, "no RV is perfect." I don't care for the sliding windows on the Olivers, would prefer swing-out. I wish the LE2 was 8' wide instead of 7'. I wish the black tank was a little bigger. But overall, the Oliver scores more points for us than it misses, and number 1 of those is the general water resistant nature of its construction. As others suggested, browse some of the other manufacturer's forums and owner YouTube videos. So much water damage and so many cracked frames, even on the supposed "full-timer" rigs. No wonder they lose value so quickly!
  8. They are? 2022s, or just new orders for 2023s? Would be a treat to find those bigger panels on our 2022 this summer!
  9. And, of course, leaving the RV in the little car made them harder to spot. Rescuers found the RV first, then followed the tire tracks to the car. Much easier to see a 30' motorhome from the air than a small car.
  10. Yes, I was referring to the orange blocks. We put those under our tires instead of one of the ramp products like the Anderson.
  11. We've used the Lynx Leveler lego blocks for years. No issues and they can be used for leveling other things around the campsite. Used them once to build a higher ramp so my stinky slinky would drain better. Use them under the jacks. Used them to level a picnic table leg, etc. etc.
  12. We've seen stick-built campers that rolled. Nothing left but debris and the frame. I was looking at that, too. Looks like the mass of the interior shell popped the outer belt seam open like a plastic Easter egg during the roll. Wondering if the inner shell also separated into its two halves, or stayed together? @QuestionMark I hope your insurance comes through quickly and you can get back on the road in an LE2 soon.
  13. So glad you and your cat are unhurt. So sorry your current travels ended that way. Best of luck as you regroup and get back to your lives.
  14. My first thought is a bad sail switch. Air from the fan blows on the sail switch, which tells the controller that air is moving. That in turn tells it that it's OK to start the ignitor to light the flame. After the fan starts can you hear the ignitor clicking? Fan running but no ignitor makes me suspect the sail switch. OTOH, if you hear the ignitor clicking but no flame kick in, I'd suspect a propane problem.
  15. It's OK. They collect them when they fall out of the trees on cold days in Florida.
  16. I was thinking the same thing. However, is the fridge on the same breaker as the rest of the outlets? That would give you daisy chained GFCIs. Shouldn't be a problem but remember, if one trips the other will, too.
  17. With the exception of our delivery trip to Hohenwald, all the trips we planned this year are within 5 hours of home, so we got lucky there.
  18. There was no Truma A/C option for our 2022 with a June delivery date.
  19. Truma has come up with a cold weather certification process for RVs. Details in the attached article. Would be interesting to see how Olivers performed. https://www.rvtravel.com/company-certify-rvs-winterization-test-rvt-1046b/
  20. Don't remove them. They're springs. Put the top edge of the screen back in place, then place the lower edge in position. Push up on the lower edge a little to compress the upper spring clips a bit, then gently pop the lower edge into place with the heel of your other hand.
  21. We now have a hull number, and a name. Hull #1150 shall be called... Eggcelsior. (With a tip of the hat to our neighbors in NY!) ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
