  1. Have you taken a look at THIS YouTube Video? Bill
  2. Vince & Beth - You are #1 on the list. If no one wants all 6 nights then we'll see how the Park wants to handle making sure that you get the site. I figure we'll give it a week or so to make sure that anyone that is interested in a nice spot has a chance to get it. Bill
  3. THIS is the stuff use on my cloths every year when going to the western mountains to fly fish. Once dry it doesn't stink or even smell at all, does a good job with ticks, black flies and mosquitos. Bill
  4. Thanks! Yep! Bummer! Certainly I will be there in 2026. Hopefully someone can use this site. Bill
  5. THIS SITE HAS NOW BEEN TAKEN Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year's Rally.😪 But, before I cancel my campsite reservation I thought that I'd let anyone know that might be interested so that they could grab a very nice site down by the lake. The details are as follows: Site number - E35 (30-50 amp electric, water and sewer) Arrive April 29, 2025 Depart May 5, 2025 # of days total - 6 nights Let me know if you are interested and we'll figure out how to get the site to you. Bill p.s.
  6. There's a thread here on the Forum that deals with the installation of an on/off switch for this detector. This sure does make dealing with that errant detector a 2 or 3 in the morning a bunch easier. Note that the pic below shows the bracket for the switch with the opeing for the detector in the background. Also note that it is good practice in using this switch you also have a method of warning yourself that the detector has been turned off and that there is actually NO propane and/or CO present. 2 inch square bracket for propane switch.PDF
  7. Some years ago we had a discussion of this here on the Forum (I'm too lazy now to go look for it). In addition to what Patriot has above, a kit should include at least two shark bite 1/2 inch 90 degree elbows, two or three straight 1/2 inch shark bite connectors and one or two shark bite "plugs" to be used to cap off a water line. One might also include a small piece of 120 to 200 grit sandpaper for smoothing the exterior/interior edges of the pex. For those unfamiliar with shark bite fittings - these allow you to simply push them on (i.e. no clamping required). There was a whole discussion as to the appropriateness of shark bite fitting for RV travel. Even though I've never had to use my "emergency plumbing kit" it would be my intent to replace the shark bite fittings with something more permanent once I arrive back home. Bill p.s. I put all of the shark bite pieces, sandpaper, pipe cutter etc. in a plastic bag and then attached that bag to the lengths of pex with tape. Then I placed that "bundle" down in the area below the water pump.
  8. Nicely done! Now - work on that big blue "G".😁
  9. OK - I'm guessing that you are using a cell phone and that is what you did the screen shot that I see above. I did move your profile picture slightly higher for you but if you don't like it there you can simply move it back or let me know and I'll move it for you. Given the height difference between the two of you I do not see a way to get both of your faces in that picture without cropping the picture and moving your faces to the right. Assuming that I'm correct about the cell phone usage - please let me know - I'll have to investigate what can be done (if anything) to get more of your picture visible. Bill
  10. I don't think that I'm absolutely sure of exactly what you are trying to do. However, if you are talking about the photo that is at the top of the page where your profile can be seen and/or changed (by you); you can easily "reposition" this photo (vertically only) by clicking on "cover photo" (located at the top right of the page). Then click on "reposition photo". This allows you to move the photo up and down until you get it positioned exactly where you want it. On the other hand - if you are trying to replace the "G" that shows along with your posts on the Forum then; Go to you profile page (simply click on the offending "G") and then click on that little blue "mountain picture" located at the bottom left of the "G" at the top of your profile page. Another menu page will pop up where you can upload a picture of your choice that will not have that blue "G" in it. Hope this helps! Bill
  11. But - I'm running as fast as I can! And, now you tell me that all this running is for nothing?
  12. Easier said than done. If you do happen to find a good one - hang on to them with all your might. Good luck! Bill
  13. Again - I don't have a Truma, but, if I did I'm not sure that I'd turn that thing on until and unless I really did need hot water AND that hot water could not be supplied via heating it on the stove. With my memory and all of the other distractions that are out there I sure as heck would not want to walk away and come back to a pile of melted resin. Bill
  14. She shows the water "disappearing" as it gets "combined chemically" with the Ethanol Shield. I don't find this unbelievable in that for years there have been products that you pour into your gas tank to rid the tank/gas of water. If you watch her video(s) she shows that the water settles to the bottom of the glass as it would in your tank and/or gas can. This means that it will stay there (for the most part) because water doesn't mix well with gas. This is where the Ethanol Shield comes in - it chemically combines with the water such that it is then drawn into the carburetor/engine so that it is burned during combustion. Make sense? As jd1923 points out, some products (like Sta-bil) really do not advertise that they do anything with water in the tank. They are products that primarily prevent gas from becoming "stale" very quickly and forming a "varnish". So, her comparison of Ethanol Shield versus Sta-bil is a bit unfair IMO. Bill
  15. I'm not sure what I'd do if I were in this situation other than try to stay in very close contact with the folks in Oliver Service and I'm sure that I'd be just a frustrated as you must be. From what I know, Oliver is doing all it can - they simply can't get enough of the units quickly enough. Hopefully, Truma can get its production ramped up. Bill
  16. Interesting video. I'm no chemist. While the video is interesting and seems to make sense are we really to believe that the folks at the other manufacturers of these gas stabilizers are all lying to us? Its a shame that in today's world we must question everything. What happened to plain and simple honesty? The 'easy" answer to that question is (of course) - money. 😪 Bill
  17. I know nothing about LazyDays. However, a tour of the factory in Hohenwald will help you understand more exactly what you have in a camping trailer. If this visit to Hohenwald does fit into your schedule, I would strongly encourage you to do it. Besides the tour you will get a chance to meet Oliver personnel and get to know them. This might help you down the road when you have a question and/or need help - you will personally know who to call. Bill
  18. I haven't followed this thread totally and if someone has mentioned Molykote 111 compound by DuPont I apologize. HERE is a video on the subject and I believe that it is available on Amazon HERE. I've not personally tried it on my blade valves and seals nor on my toilet seal. Bill
  19. there are many
  20. Looks like it is a bit chilly there. Be safe! Bill
  21. that place over
  22. Brag to me about how wonderful that AZ weather is during the middle of summer. Certainly weather is just one of the reasons that our trailers have wheels. Change is good for a number of reasons. Bill
  23. Unfortunately, if you are camping in Yellowstone National Park, this is not allowed. Generators are not allowed and they consider a vehicle a generator when it is being used like this.😪 Bill
  24. Sure do wish that you "Western" types would stop sending your cold this way. 70's last week and a predicted of very low 40's for today. I don't mind so much but it confuses the fish!🥶 Bill
