My how-to video for cleaning the weep holes and tracks
rich.dev replied to Wayfinder's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
John, have you figured out how to remove/install the side window window black tracks with the felt rubbing strips? My windows are the same as yours, I cleaned the rear window but like you and @RoadKingsofGA I couldn't remove the side window black tracks with the felt strips! -
Congrats on the new Outdoors RV, is it the 19MKS? Happy travels, and let us know all the good and bad vs Oliver please!

They downsized from a huge class A and boondock pretty much 100%, I guess thatās why the large battery/solar system. I have watched a bunch of videos from MYT solar, heās really good and does a quality job. Must say, I know itās personal preference but I think this 19MKS has probably the best layout for such a small travel trailer. Outdoors RV make a really good product, if I knew about it before we bought the Ollie it wouldāve been a very strong contender. Love the large kitchen counter top, large tanks, dry bath, hydraulic stabilizers and the 2 la-Z-Boy style seats, just not keen on the slide out and all the wood!

X2.. @Toby look at the creekside 19 MKS titanium!

I have the FITCAMX, itās nicely integrated into my Silveradoās rear view mirror housing, and plug and play installation with the power wire hidden and connected to the rear view mirror wiring, and hidden inside the mirror housing.

Thatās weird, maybe an issue with the compressor? Our isotherm works great. Have you always had this issue with it?

Absolutely, they treat their customers like family!

I just wanted to share the absolute amazing experience we had with David and Kristine Hess, Jeff and other team members at Sea Biscuit Metal Designs, Johnson City Tennessee. We had the Oliver rear basket installed today. What great service! David, Kristine and Jeff greeted me, and Jeff got right to work on the installation. The rear basket is extremely well crafted, made with high grade materials and expert craftsmanship. An awesome addition to the Oliver!! For those who do not have the Oliver OEM rear bumper receiver option (like us), no problem as Sea Biscuit will provide the hardware necessary to mount the rear basket. Now what happened next is service I have never experienced before! Long story short, after all the hugs from Kristine and David, (yes they love meeting and hanging out with their customers!) I hooked up the trailer, did all my checks, put the tv in drive and as I slowly took off I felt some resistance. Must be the emergency brake I thought, well, turned out I forgot to raise the tongue jack! Yes, I know, I guess I was just so impressed and excited about the new basket, and the excellent service that I forgot about the jack! I usually use 6āx6ā blocks on all the jacks for 2 reasons, to avoid extending the jacks too much, and secondly for this exact reason, ie if for whatever stupid reason I forget to raise the jacks they will just slide of the blocks. Needless to say, the tongue jack inside shaft was bent backwards approximately 45° and buckled. Anyway, thatās when David, Jeff and team jumped in, Dave cut off approx. 4ā where the shaft was bent/buckled, aligned the 2 straight pieces then welded them back together. This was shortly before noon, so the team worked into their lunch hour and David had to push out another appointment! I obviously offered compensation, but David refused! I cannot express my gratitude enough to David, Jeff and team! Sea Biscuit is a great company and David, Kristine and their crew are awesome people!!! Thank you so much again!

Inexpensive Helpful Modifications
rich.dev replied to Wandering Sagebrush's topic in Ollie Modifications
Yes love these Hasko vacuum suction cups, we also have a dozen or so all over inside the trailer, including below the street side bed for shoesā¦wifeās idea! -
lolā¦.ok, so I like the size of the mini, but I think even if it was available I still wouldāve gone with the G3. I donāt like the fact that the router is inside the mini dish, yes I know itās weather proof, and I have a 3rd party router anyway, but just the thought of the dish with built in router put me off a little bit. Itās probably not an issue at all, just me being silly! š¤Ŗ

3500 pound versus 5200 pound axles on a LE2
rich.dev replied to John and Debbie's topic in General Discussion
Yup, I just saw a previous post by @John and Debbie stating he saw the 3500lbs on the label and assumed that was for the axle. -

rich.dev replied to John and Debbie's topic in General Discussion
Not doubting you, itās just as far as I know they switched to the 5200 pound axles end of 2021, can you post a pic of the label? -
Maybe this post will provide you with some answers.

3500 pound versus 5200 pound axles on a LE2
rich.dev replied to John and Debbie's topic in General Discussion
I was wondering same, we have a 2023 with the D52 axles. @John and Debbie check the label on your axles, if you see D52 you have the 5200 lbs axles, the 3500lbs on the label refers to the springs (2 x 1750lbs), NOT the axles. See pic. -
Hey John we are just up the road from youā¦Indianola Beach! How long will you be there, we were thinking of taking a drive to Corpus Christi area, maybe we can swing by to say hello?
-
Ok just throwing something out there, with tires you donāt just look at load capacity of 1 tire for a VH, isnāt it the same with the chains, ie 2 chains/shackles = 2T load capacity? Also, the GVWR of 7000lbs is vertical load carried by the tires/suspension/axles of the trailer, the load capacity of the shackles is a horizontal/tucking load.

I donāt have a brick in this wall, a horse in this race or a dog in this fight, I just stumbled upon this āolderā video from James of The Fit RV testing a smart plugā¦. so just an FYI!

Overfilled propane tank warning.
rich.dev replied to Steve and MA's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Yup, our empty 20# tanks consistently takes 4.5 gallons = 6.75 gallons for a 30# tanks, so you have overfilled your tanks by 0.05 gallons John!š -
