Yah kinda on the heavy side but I’m still a spring chicken so doable for now! 😜 I haven’t checked yet, plan is to monitor them for heat/cold when we’re in Arizona this winter. I might eventually install a fan for ventilation like @NCeagle did in this thread.

I added this 400W Renogy solar panel and Victron MPPT 100/30 CC, the CC was sized using this charge controller calculator from Explorist.Life/Nate. Pic of the stock 100/50 and 100/30 that I added for the 400W panel.

I do the same with the exact same tester. Once I know the plug is wired correctly I plug in and trust the onboard surge protector made by the same company And me……great minds think alike! 😊

Ok more experienced people will chip in but I’ll try and answer some of your questions…… Yes Yes you can, but if you have the solar package you have the Zamp solar port on the street side, your solar suitcase “should” have a SAE connector but with the Zamp port you will need a polarity reversing adaptor. The wire for the Zamp port is a 10ga wire capable of 30a. OTT use a 20A fuse, you can probably go with 2 x 200W external solar suitcases, but with onboard charge controllers there could be voltage drop based on wire size and length of wire. Here’s a nice video explaining voltage drop based on charge controller location relative to the batteries.

Replacing shocks when upgrading leaf springs
rich.dev replied to John and Debbie's topic in General Discussion
I believe this bulldog shock is a direct replacement for the Monroe 555001 https://www.4statetrucks.com/bulldog-hd-shock-absorber-replaces-555001-19-050000007 -

Andersen WDH without chains, Sway Only?
rich.dev replied to Ralph Mawyer's topic in Towing an Oliver
Oh no dog in the race, I was just curious how you could tell from the picture showing the SUV and Oliver. I still learn every day, to me it looked like maybe the rear of the SUV sits a little lower than the front, but then the Oliver looks pretty level. -

Added hull# 1386, my stock springs are 1750lbs capacity -
I was advised by Mike from OTT that I could use Lucas Red N Tacky grease for the Dexter EZ-Flex suspension, bearings and the 3 jacks.

Sun Shade awnings that attach to extisting oliver awning
rich.dev replied to MarkC's topic in General Discussion
Thanks John, I will check with Girard. We have a clam but I like the idea of a shade with open ends for a nice breeze. -
Sun Shade awnings that attach to extisting oliver awning
rich.dev replied to MarkC's topic in General Discussion
Has anybody with a Girard awning used an awning shade from Tentproinc? This sun shade is specifically for the Girard awning. https://tentproinc.com/products/tentproinc-rv-awning-sun-shade-screen-for-girard-sunshade-customized -
I asked same question to Dexter and was advised it indicates a 3” axle dia.

Axle weight rating is 5200lbs/axle, spring weight rating is 1750lbs (x 2 = 3500/axle, hence the 7000lbs GVWR), GVWR of 7000lbs is based on the weakest link, ie the springs

John, if you haven’t already, contact Dexter and request a spec/build sheet of your axle/spring assy. You will have to provide them with your axle serial number. Attached is a copy of my build sheet with all the info on the axles and springs, under “shop order notes and options” you can see my axles are 3” diameter. The axles and springs are supplied from Dexter as an assembly, D52 = 5200lbs capacity and the springs are 1750lbs capacity.

I believe this is it. https://support.olivertraveltrailers.com/portal/en/kb/articles/xantrex-inverter-error-20

Yup just saw that. Here's the link with announcement and contact details if you wish to schedule a service installation. https://mailchi.mp/trumacorp/truma-coolers-winter-camping-and-more-17304172?e=65dcac5d9f ...and response from Truma re cost "The cost of the soft start is $425 plus tax and mobile service calls where applicable"

GJ, I assume the part # for the 2400 pounder springs is probably in a post somewhere in these 16 pages, I'm just too lazy now to read through the 16 pages, do you have the part# please and thanks?

Is this for the Truma or Dometic AC?

John there are many videos on YouTube on how to calibrate it yourself, here’s one.

Victron Multiplus and MPII Feedback Request
rich.dev replied to jd1923's topic in Ollie Modifications
What is automatic AC transfer switching? All Xantrex Inverter/Chargers incorporate an automatic transfer switch. This switch senses when outside AC Power is present and transfers the load from the inverter to the source of incoming power (shore or generator). The unit also automatically switches from invert mode to charge mode. -

Just waiting for the Xantrex 3000 in our 2023 to kick the bucket when I will definitely upgrade to the Victron multiplus II, mainly for the power assist/load sharing functionality of it….explained nicely in this video.
