  1. I am very familiar with the feeling. We took delivery in August. Welcome aboard!
  2. Part of my consternation is related to the fact I washed a big chuck of plastic out of my gray tank the second time I drained it. That has me wondering if a cutout is floating around in the FW tank wreaking havoc with my meter. I would not have left the pump on if the FW ran out, but it said 19% so I was still using it. I pay attention to stuff, and expect the meter to be accurate. The joys of the burn in period.
  3. I have not messed with anything since day one.
  4. It is back to normal now that I have water in the FW tank.
  5. I figured the pump running was because there was no water for it to draw in. There are no leaks. I left the house with a full tank of fresh water. The meter said 100% and I know it was full because of the overflow draining.
  6. The Oliver is an attention getter. One guy came up that was in his second Casita. He is seriously considering going to an Oliver. We talked about our trailer and gave him the tour. I expect he is going to join our forum, and stop by the factory on his way home to NC. He was struck by the component quality of the Oliver compared to the Casita. We talked to a young man that was interested in our Oliver. He and his family are big long time campers. He was in a refurbed 1966 Avion. He fell in and out of love with our Oliver as we discussed the cost of an Oliver. I suggested he join our forum and look at an older used model. Oliver's sell themselves.
  7. Something is causing the fresh water reading to be all over the place. Night before last I heard the water pump kick on and not stop running. I checked the fresh water level and it said 19%. The pump kept running so I turned it off and connected the fresh water source at the campsite. Got home last night, and parked the trailer. Cleaning up this morning I check the fresh water level and it said 82%. I added some water to the fresh water tank and it said 69%. I put the trailer away and checked the fresh water and it said 0%. All these reading were taken while the trailer was level. Any ideas?
  8. We took a four day, three park trip through northern Arkansas this week. Our Oliver is still very new to us, and we love it. I think this is our third trip since getting it in August. Every single time we have been out we have at least one person ask us if our Oliver is an Airstream. One was kind of funny, he said, "I did not know Airstream made a plastic camper." Do you get that question, or Airstream comment?
  9. Starting in October 11, 2017 That is six years. How long should we wait?
  10. Are all this Oliver "qualified and reputable RV maintenance facilities" documented somewhere? That would be handy dandy info.
  11. A little of topic from the OP, but I was told in another thread there was no way to turn the water off for the outside shower. Where are those valves? Thanks
  12. Are bots counted as guest?
  13. The manual of standard equipment says I have the Truma Varioheat
  14. I assumed running the furnace would heat below deck. I am trying to go from assuming to knowing. 🙂
  15. Where do I turn off the water going to the outside shower? It seems like I should be OK (someone correct me if I am wrong) if I turn off the water to it and drain the water out. I assume I can drain it by simply turning off the outside shower water source and open the shower spigot until no water comes out. Is that right?
  16. This will be my first Oliver winter. I want to use the camper through the winter to visit warmer climes. Does an Oliver need to be winterized if it is plugged into shore power and the furnace is on?
  17. Welcome to the Oliver family.
  18. I'll be able to tell after our next trip. It seems most humid in the cabin a few hours before we start out day I went out and fiddled with the remote. It seems like a big difference than just using the control panel. Is using "Auto" on the CP about the same as putting it on dehumidify on the remote?
  19. Thanks @MobileJoy I just got my Oliver. The dummy I am, I did not even know I had a remote for the AC. I have been fighting with the AC. It does not seem to dehumidify right. I will see if I can tune it using the remote. I have been trying to do everything with the control panel on the wall.
  20. We gave strong consideration to AS. It was like visiting a used car lot.
  21. We are going to DeGray State park tomorrow. The heat has relented so it is time to move around again. https://www.arkansasstateparks.com/parks/degray-lake-resort-state-park We are planning a trip to Maine this year. What is the latest possible date you would advise we visit?
  22. What is the number one thing that most RV buyers (not Oliver buyers) complain about? When I was doing my research it was "dealer support". A close second was build quality. Oliver will be a standout if they can overcome the bad dealer experience.
  23. More from the same link In addition to the dealer network, Oliver is also expanding its manufacturing capacity. The company is investing in new equipment and facilities to increase its production output. This will allow Oliver to meet the growing demand for its travel trailers. “We are excited about the future of Oliver Travel Trailers,” said Oliver. “We believe that this dealer network and our investment in manufacturing will help us to continue to grow and succeed.”
