  1. Can you use the Blackstone 17" as a cook top for a pan or a pot? Will it boil water in a pot? Will it fry food in a skillet?
  2. As I am still waiting for delivery of the 2023 LE II, I asked my agent if the policy from him offered "replacement value". His answer, "Our policies are "actual cash value". Is that the same as ""replacement value"? This is what the Shelter website said https://www.shelterinsurance.com/insurance/rvinsurance/coverageoptions/
  3. Your story is a true testament to the love for an Oliver. I am so glad no one was hurt. I know you said you do not want to discuss the details of the rollover, but I would ask for the benefit of others if you might reconsider and start a thread on how and why it happened. We all make mistakes, and a post event analysis is the best way to learn how to do better. ❤️
  4. Keep us posted on the new Ollie experience. My estimated production start date is now 7 days away. May the road be kind to you.
  5. I do want to go there https://www.grandcodroy.com/about
  6. Does the Owner's Manual come with the new trailer or do I need to print my copy from OU?
  7. I have an abundance of toys at home. I want to RV to see the US. I see no problem putting my toys aside while RVing. I see the Ollie as a way to travel light and move along at the drop of a hat.
  8. You are right. I just filled up with diesel at Walmart and paid $3.14, the lowest I have paid in three years. I have always suspected Love and all are higher because most purchases are made with fleet cards. The area around the pumps at Walmart gets very crowded as they are always the lowest price.
  9. Open Roads sounds pretty good By joining our program you will have access to discount diesel prices at specified locations such as Loves and Travel Centers of America. Current members are saving an average of 30 to 40 cents per gallon off the pump price. There are no signup fees or membership fees to join. There are no long-term contracts to sign and no hidden fees. https://myopenroads.com/
  10. Our Cover ARRL Field Day is fast approaching — June 24 – 25! Whether you’ve planned the weekend as an opportunity for outreach, time for training, just plain fun, or some combination of these, there are innumerable ways to get set up and on the air. As just one example, here’s Pete Marks’s, K2PLM, “rolling ham shack” out in Lincoln National Forest in Alamogordo, New Mexico for last year’s Field Day. Pete’s trailer was built with ham radio in mind, and is equipped with a 160 W solar panel, a 1000 W dc-to-ac inverter, and 210 Ah of battery storage. It even has SO-239 connectors on the exterior and interior. This issue features our annual Field Day Guide that you can pull out and take to your Field Day site, so you have resources like a Section list and bonus point worksheet close at hand. 11. I get 3% back on fuel purchases with my credit card. I use a diesel as my tow vehicle. Does anyone use a fleet card? https://ratings.freightwaves.com/what-is-the-best-fleet-fuel-card/ Does anyone use the GasBuddy system? https://www.gasbuddy.com/pay/premium
  12. My Ollie is due is August. I am getting nervous about finding spots as we roam around.
  13. I never thought about people speculating and reselling camp sites. People sure are resourceful. Do other states have laws like this? I guess I can see giving state residents first shot at camp sites if the state subsidies the cost and keeps them below true market value. Floridians can expect to get a jump on everyone else reserving time in state parks now that HB 109 has been signed into law. The law came about because of complaints that third parties took up reservations once the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) opened up those times. It passed both chambers of the Legislature without a dissenting vote. The system presently allows for making reservations 11 months in advance. The legislation directs DEP’s Division of Recreation and Parks to open up reservations for Florida residents 11 months in advance and, for nonresidents, 10 months in advance. https://floridapolitics.com/archives/611771-floridians-get-first-choice-as-governor-signs-state-park-reservation-bill/
  14. Is my truck. I am posting a picture I took with my iPhone.
  15. Does anyone have the rock guards on a Duramax? Looking at the pics posted it looks like my exhaust pipe is obstructing where the guards would go. It looks like my exhaust would blow right in front of these Rock Tamers
  16. I see the picture fine. I take delivery of an E II in August. I have a 2015 Duramax. I am in NE Arkansas.
  17. How many of you have rock guards on your tow vehicle? We live on a gravel rod, and I expect we will travel on gravel in our search for adventure. I have this now. Is that enough? Or, do I need something more robust like this?
  18. Love this thread.
  19. Too funny. My wife showed the red "Jelly Bean" to me this morning on FB
  20. Great idea! Ollie should rally in the four corners of the US.
  21. I read this article this morning and thought it would be good to share with the group. Eighteen parks broke annual visitation records in 2021, according to National Park Service data. One — Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas — saw record visitors last year. Overall visits to national parks jumped by 5% in 2022 versus the year prior, to 312 million recreation visits. Some of the most heavily trafficked parks have instituted advance reservation systems to address congestion in popular hikes and roads. A few require reservations for full park access. They include: Acadia, Arches, Glacier, Haleakalā, Rocky Mountain, Yosemite and Zion National Parks. The free permits and reservations generally come with a processing fee of $2 and up. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/05/10/national-park-trips-you-may-need-advance-reservations-and-permits.html
