  1. You would need to generate somewhere north of $20 million in sales per year to justify a $3 million capital investment with a net margin of 15%.
  2. Thanks. I already reserved my site a couple of months ago. I will now register with Oliver for the rally. I am looking forward to meeting all you folks.
  3. I have to think this has been many a campfire conversations between Oliver owners. Is there a practical size limit of a trailer constructed in the manner of our Oliver? Could Oliver build a 30' trailer? The Airstream Flying Cloud 23 FB weighs about the same as a Legacy Elite II.
  4. My wife says if you are in the trailer you ain't doing it right. I too hate that term "glamping". Hate it, hate it, hate it.
  5. I just went through a nightmare using a third party to do Oliver warranty work. No way will I do that again.
  6. I worked at a manufacture that sold exclusively through dealers. We carried floor inventory for the dealers. Like a bank, we charged them for it. We also did cooperative advertising that helped the dealer promote our product, and their sales.
  7. Not me. I am haggle man extraordinaire. I simply saw Oliver as the best value.
  8. Do you know that Oliver is not carrying that 80%?
  9. It is possible that the factory sells to the dealer at a wholesale price. Both the dealer and the factory sell to us at a retail price. It might be the factory policy to not haggle. The new channel is called "dealers" for a reason.
  10. Thanks for that plumbing drawing. What manual is it in?
  11. From your link - There are companies out there with quality on their minds. Oliver, a producer of fiberglass trailers, is one of them. These campers are far more expensive than many of the fiberglass trailers I’ve written about, but they’re also several steps above in build quality than most trailers. I toured a couple of Olivers at the 2024 Florida RV SuperShow and left feeling like these were the fiberglass trailer equivalent of an ’80s Mercedes.
  12. I know you guys are excited. We took possession of 1423 in August 2023. We truly love our Oliver. I keep our interstate travel to a minimum. Doing that, I consider 400 miles a day so covering long distances can take some time. I second Land Between the Lakes. That was our first stop after leaving Hohenwald. Nice park. Arkansas state parks are very well kept. We have stayed at many of them. We lived in the Smokies before we started camping. It is a pretty area. We had many day trips and the hiking is wonderful. You are going to love wherever you are when you are in your Oliver
  13. I guess that explains why I can't find them in the manuals. I thought the Ollie had tank heaters
  14. Can someone tell me where the 12v tank heaters are discussed in the manuals? I can't find it. Thanks
  15. Just to add, the draw of the inverter is not the concern, but more so the other things you might leave on like the AC, that would draw your battery down. I can see both sides now that I understand the inverter better. Thanks all.
  16. I could not find a pic in the manual, but that vid did the trick. It is easy now that I know how that spring lies. Thanks
  17. Can someone please post a functioning fridge light? My bulb popped out and I cannot get that spring back in correctly. Thanks
  18. I also wanted to share something else. Oliver does recommend turning the inverter off when connected to shore power. They say that for a very practical reason. If your inverter is on, and you lose shower power your batteries might be depleted without you knowing it is happening. I do hope others continue to share their knowledge of the inverter and also that other's feel free to ask questions about the mysteries of the inverter. Thanks everyone for your usual helpfulness. Long Live Oliver!
  19. I just got my inverter replaced by a non-Oliver shop. I am sifting through things to bring it back to "as it was" from the factory. I read that if the button on the inverter is on then the button on the panel serves no purpose. Does anyone know if this is true?
  20. The inverter really has two on/off buttons. One on the inverter and one on the remote panel. Am I correct to say that the button on the inverter box should be out (off) and the button on the panel should be in (on) when I want to run the inverter?
