Thanks Yes, it's very tight fit and no glue is needed. To install it I just used a rubber mallet to drive it down over the edge of the cover. The steel clips embedded into the vinyl hold it on securely and IMHO, it's a much better solution that the hard plastic edging that came on our Ollie. 1 2010 Elite II, Hull #45. 2014 Toyota Sequoia Platinum 4WD 5.7 with tow package.

Thanks Per @topgun2 suggestion, I applied this a few years ago (no glue required) to the dog house aka LP tank cover edge and also the edge of the twin beds. Ours has held up great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAJJJ3Y?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Edited April 20 by Patriot 1 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “XPLOR” TV 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor aka - “Beast of Burden” Retro upgrades - Truma Aventa 13.5 AC, Alcan 5 leaf pack, Alcan HD shackles & HD wet bolts, 5200lb never lube axles. Gliddenwoods Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Thanks for all the replies. However I realize that the replies have been about (since I was not clear in my first message) the cover edge when it is the lower compartment edge that the cover sits on that I am referring to. My error. There is a soft seal that is on the compartment edge....similar to a door seal. Mine is in bad shape and I need to replace. So...has any replaced the lower seal and with what? 2022 Oliver Legacy Elite II, Hull 1242, 9/26/22 Lithium Platinum Power/Solar Package Tow with Supercrew Cab 2019 F-150 4 x4, 5.0L 4-Valve V8 with 3.73 axle ratio & 157" wheelbase. I can't help you here as mine came with a 3M type protective tape and not a rubber seal on that edge. The tape alone seems to be working fine (so far) with the PVC edging sitting right on top of it. 2010 Elite II, Hull #45. 2014 Toyota Sequoia Platinum 4WD 5.7 with tow package.
jd1923 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 31 minutes ago, Gliddenwoods said: There is a soft seal that is on the compartment edge That must be something OTT added on newer hulls that our older hulls do not have. You got to ask, why in less than 3 years has yours gone bad, when our hull now 10 years old, finally needs some work? My answer is having the seal up on the doghouse made for the better installation. It looks awful in your picture and being on the lower section it just collects dirt. Ours and yours have the same recess, but ours looks clean never having rubber glued to it. i just ordered what @CRM suggested, thanks again. I suggest you remove that rubber, use a solvent to remove all the crude and old sealant. The rubber edging suggested will be a far better insulator! Problem solved. 😂 1 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted April 20 Moderators Posted April 20 Like jd, my trailer did not come with any kind of seal. You might want to clean it up and go without. It hasn’t been a problem over the years. Mike 1 1 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L

I've replaced mine with white (EPDM) rubberized door/window weather stripping. Frost King is one brand that worked we'll and lasted 4 years before replacment. You need to scrape off the old, and clean well with Alcohol before attaching. 2019 Elite II (Hull 505 - Galway Girl - August 7, 2019 Delivery) Tow Vehicle: 2021 F350 King Ranch, FX4, MaxTow Package, 10 Speed, 3.55 Rear Axle Batteries Upgrade: Dual 315GTX Lithionics Lithiums - 630AH Total Inverter/Charger: Xantrex 2000Pro Travel BLOG: https://4-ever-hitched.com
