Gene G. Posted Thursday at 02:45 PM Posted Thursday at 02:45 PM (edited) Hello, I purchased an (2019) Oliver elite ii hull 489. Never owned a camper. I have a lot to learn. Haven’t taken it camping yet. i was opposed to campers generally because I think they are built like complete disposable garbage. Oliver is an exception …..won me over.. plan to pull it with a 2014 Tundra 5.7 liter. At least for the time being. Hope to upgrade rig before too long. Seemed to tow really well driving it home. Will probably stick with tundra, but I’d like one with a plusher trim and/or a bigger fuel tank.. I live near Paris, Texas. GG Edited Thursday at 02:51 PM by Gene G. 3

Patriot Posted Thursday at 03:30 PM Posted Thursday at 03:30 PM (edited) Welcome to the forum! Ask away with any questions we can help with. I initially began towing with a Platinum 5.7 Tundra 4x4 crew cab. A really solid and reliable truck. Soon after we sold the Tundra and purchased a 1 ton Super Duty due to it having a much higher cargo capacity. I think our Tundra had like 1460 lbs of cargo capacity which was not going to work for us. We are very happy with our present TV! Enjoy your Oliver! johnwen Posted Friday at 12:24 AM Posted Friday at 12:24 AM Welcome, Gene, you've come to the right place! Most problems you will encounter with your Oliver have been discussed throughout the years and you won't find a more friendly or helpful group than this forum. Newer trailers incorporate new problems to solve but this is one heck of a synergistic group to work with. Best of luck and hope to see you "out there" one day :) John 1 Oliver II #996 "Bessie", 2019 Silverado LTZ 5.3, Veterans https://wenandjohnsadventure.com/
