Just ordered a Starlink Router for the Mini this morning, after placing the Mini on standby mode at home, it works OK but getting too far away from the dish in the house slows down service even more. The Router should help that situation at home and camping. Edited Friday at 01:33 PM by rideandfly 2 Bill 2015 LE2 #75 2024 F350

Here in eastern US, trees are everywhere, and I might need to get the Mini 50-150 feet away to connect. But instead of Starlink's router, I've connected it to my Peplink cellular router, so the cell connection can kick in whenever there's a Starlink dropout. 1 ----- Steve - Northern Ohio, USA Wandering around on occasion, always lost. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser - 2023 Oliver Elite II Twin Hull #1360 “Curiosity” Facebook - Instagram Camped in Curiosity = Green —— Visited with Curiosity = Gray

I’ve now got it on the truck tonneau cover, we’re under a lot of trees (Lake Tahoe, CA). Even with a narrow view of the sky it’s working well. My sophisticated mount. Sky view. There’s a bunch of satellites racing through that blue patch. 5 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L

Perfect northern exposure and no obstruction is key! We had the same great reception last fall while out west, I see no need for the router for our use. Safe Travels! Once I got into the house the signal dropped, still had a bar but it was noticeable. I deployed the mini router and the situation was fixed. I guess it depends on the number of walls the signal has to go through. We’re now at Lassen National Park, the tree coverage is more dense but I found a small opening and the Starlink is doing its thing. Mike 3 Texas Hill Country | 2016 Elite II #135 | 2020 Ram 2500 6.7L

Ronbrink Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Signed up for the Standby Mode Plan this morning. The Roam 50-GB plan that was on ‘pause’ can easily be reinstated when the time comes to resume that service. With SLM in Standby Mode, while parked in the home driveway and on the Savana’s dash, had cell phone Wi-Fi and when arriving at the COW Barn both my Victron Cerbo and Cielo Breez Max devices also connected.
