Free2Roam
a minor detail: need a place to stay the night before pick up (regular lodging since no Trailer yet) that allows dogs. Checked with Fall Hollow and they have rooms but don’t allow pets in them. Any suggestions? PAndrews
Hello Angela! There is a Thousand Trails campground called Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve about 13 miles from the Oliver Travel Trailer Sales office. They have rental cabins and are pet friendly. The cost for a standard cabin is $68.00/night. here is a link to there website, where you will find directions, pricing and more. I hope this helps. https://www.thousandtrails.com/tennessee/natchez-trace-rv-campground/rentals - Phil Phillip Andrews Oliver Travel Trailers Sales and Delivery Specialist
Spike
We stayed at the Commodore Hotel in nearby Linden. (We were coming from the west--Arizona.) They welcomed us with our large Pyrenees-mix, Hank. The historic hotel was interesting but not cheap. John E Davies
You don't say where you are coming from! If from the west, avoid Jackson TN like the plague, although it has tons of hotels since it straddles I40, the area is a cesspool... to put it mildly. Savannah TN is very nice, is on the Tennessee River, has lots of parks and lodging, and is an hour from Hohenwald by very twisty backroads. I can't comment on a dog friendly motel since we left ours at home. If from the east, Columbia would be a good choice. I think we may go through Nashville and stay in the outskirts. Thanks! -Angela 2017 Legacy Elite II Standard 2006 Chevy 2500 HD Diesel 4WD

Thanks! -Angela Nashville has some very cool places to visit, including a nice zoo, but it isn't at all on the way to Hohenwald from Oklahoma... be aware that traffic is fast and vicious, especially if you are towing. If you want to camp close in to the city of Nashville after collecting your trailer, the Anderson Road COE campground is simply stellar. And dirt cheap with a Senior Pass. Reservations are highly recommended!!! Any of the waterfront sites along the west side are great, we had # 22. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/anderson-road/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=71009 Any of the TN state parks are good choices but they are very costly compared to Corps facilities... Henry Horton east of Columbia (due south of Nashville) is very nice. http://tnstateparks.com/parks/about/henry-horton The weather shoul be nice for you, it gets pretty nasty in mid summer. We haven’t been there in a while so thought it’d be nice to browse before pick up. Will definitely put the other places you mentioned on the list of places to see! KarenLukens
Eat Well Sushi and Grill in Memphis, TN had a great Sushi buffet, we ate there both going and coming home. Then in Franklin, TN there was Yats, a Cajon Creole restraunt that expanded from Louisiana that was to die for :) We stayed at the Comodore and the staff was excellent. It's an old historic hotel where you walk upstairs to your room. It's about 30 easy minutes away and it makes for an easy relaxed morning drive. You park right in front of the hotel and it's totally quiet and safe :) 1 Happy Camping, Reed & Karen Lukens with Riffles our Miniature Poodle 2017 Oliver Legacy Elite II Standard, Hull #200 / 2017 Silverado High Country 1500 Short Bed 4x4 Past TV - 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350 4Matic BlueTEC Diesel Click on our avatar pic above to find the videos on our Oliver Legacy Elite II
Overland
I thought I'd read that in the past, Oliver would put you up for the night at the Commodore the night before. Did they stop doing that?

KarenLukens
Both of those restaraunts are well worth the stop. Have you ever had cajon crawdad Sushi? That's one of the choices at the Eat Well Sushi buffet. They have low reviews on service but that's from people that don't understand buffets, I guess... You simply get your own, we had a great time, both times with hundreds of choices, no complaints here. Then Yats sold us a bunch for take out that we ate on for a few days, we ordered one and ended up with 3 of the one pound plastic jars of their different creoles as they were closing for the night. Then they also sell their brand of Cajon seasoning that we use all the time now :) 1 Happy Camping, Reed & Karen Lukens with Riffles our Miniature Poodle 2017 Oliver Legacy Elite II Standard, Hull #200 / 2017 Silverado High Country 1500 Short Bed 4x4 Past TV - 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML350 4Matic BlueTEC Diesel Click on our avatar pic above to find the videos on our Oliver Legacy Elite II

Moderators Mike and Carol Posted October 1, 2017 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2017 For our first visit when we placed our order (Oct 2015) we stayed at Natchez Hills B&B. It’s associated with the Natchez Hills Winery. It was a log cabin in the middle of the woods about a quarter mile from the owners house. There is also a small house that you can rent at Amber Falls Winery. Here’s the only picture I have of our cabin at Natchez Hills. We really enjoyed the rustic ambiance. Love places like that. We decided to stay in a conventional hotel in franklin since it’s onky about an hour away and we don’t have to be there until 10 am. We can still check out the winery though :) Pick up is tomorrow!
