Update: Second Oliver Mini-Rally at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park

We have returned from our vacation and are ready to roll out the details for our Second Oliver Mini-Rally at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL.

If you have not been to Hanna Park before it is right on the ocean with 1.5 miles of beautiful beachfront, this 450-acre park has everything you could want in a Florida oceanside park. There are 275 full hookup camping sites, all under mature coastal hammocks with giant majestic oaks trees. Hanna has over 20 miles of scenic trails that provide opportunities for hiking and biking. It is also just a short 10-minute drive from Neptune Beach, a quaint seaside town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore.

If you are in the area or just need a reason to camp, we would love to have you join us. We are planning a Meet & Greet Fish Fry for Friday night, a Saturday Beach Lunch, and a Group Dinner in town Sunday night to close it all out.

 

Everything you need to reserve a campsite is below. We are in Campsite 74 and have reserved Shelter 9 for our Meet & Greet Fish Fry. Once you make your reservation, please email me (48ocean@gmail.com) your site number. I will create a map of all Oliver Owners' locations in the camp as well as keep you all updated.

 

This is not an Official Oliver Rally but one that Foy & Mirna Sperring host.

For anyone sitting on the fence with regards to this mini-rally, I'd say that you should not miss it.  Small enough to be able to talk to everyone in attendance yet there is plenty of space to roam.  Even with the threat of a hurricane during the first Florida mini-rally it really was a very enjoyable event.  Foy and Mirna really know how to make everyone feel welcome.

OK, I'm in - made reservations this morning.

There is/are plenty of space/sites still available.

The water is still warm in October and the beach at this Park is very nice.  Hope to see a bunch of people (owners and future owners) there.

Had a great time at Hannah Park last week but it was HOT and HUMId!   Posted a map, sites are very very shaded.  Not huge but private because of trees.  Not a big fan of the pull thru sites but really like the sites that have no one behind you.  Most sites are level with a little leveling on some lots.  Just pay attention to the color coding and you will do great.   Have a great time and wish we could join ya!

Is it ok to come for the day on Friday to meet some of the owners and hear about your experiences with the Oliver? I’m interested in buying one but not sure what size or layout.

You might due better to send a private message (PM) to Foy-Mirna just to make sure that they see it and can advise you accordingly.  In another thread, Foy posted that there was an opening for the entire event due to a cancellation but I do not know if that is still available. 

As a general comment, since anyone (like myself) who is arriving on Friday can not check-in for a camping spot until 1pm, it is unlikely that most Olivers will be setup prior to 2 pm.  And, with the Friday night dinner starting at 5pm, there will not be much time for you to meet, hear and look.

Hi Foy-Mirna, I am interested in the Oliver Rvs and would like to come Saturday morning to your rally and talk to you and some other owners about your Olibers and your experience. I’m undecided about what length and interior layout is best for our needs. Is it possible for me to just come for the morning to visit with all of you?

James, I'm not Foy, but I'm sure it will be fine for you to come to this mini Rally and see what's what. There will be plenty of folks to talk to and I'm sure you can find out more than you ever wanted to know about Oliver Travel Trailers. We will be in Hull #050 in site #83.  Feel free to come by and 'set a'spell'.
