I do appreciate your suggestion. I do agree that the OEM ones are not the best for their intended purpose though. If the OEM ones are no longer available, I may just bite the bullet and replace them all to match. $$$ though.... GJ I’m hooked, have a dozen of these throughout the Oliver! Easy to install; they stay put for the most part; and great for hanging equipment, clothing, towels, hats, bags, you name it. I just twist the suction knob occasionally to maintain a tight hold. David and Gail Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I just removed a Hasko suction cup hook and found a brown stain ring on the fiberglass. This caused me to remove another one in the bathroom and it also left a brown ring of stain. I tried several methods of removing the stain. Got most of it off, but you can still see a faint circle if you know where to look. Has anyone other than me had this problem? As for now these will not be going back up. 2018 Ram 1500, 4x4, 5.7 hemi , Anderson WHD 2025 Oliver Legacy Elite ll, Hull # 1585,Platinum pkg, Street side awning option
Moderators topgun2 Posted May 12 Moderators Posted May 12 David & Gail - If these marks really bother you then I think that you have basically two choices: 1 - Make an appointment with the guys at CGI detailing. I certain they can get it better than new for you. 2 - Polish it our yourself. If you want to go this route (I would) I'd suggest starting with a fairly light polish such as Meguiar"s Ultimate Polish - THIS STUFF. If this doesn't do the job then I'd up the ante to something like Shurhold Buff Magic Compound - THIS STUFF. I believe one of these two will allow you to buff out this stain by hand. After you polish apply protection to the surface with the wax of your choice. Moderator+ ScubaRx Posted May 12 Moderator+ Posted May 12 Use some acetone, it won't hurt the gelcoat and I'll wager the stain will come right off. I use it all the time. Will also remove mildew stains from caulk. 6 Steve, Tali and our dog Rocky plus our beloved dogs Storm, Lucy, Maggie and Reacher (all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge) 2008 Legacy Elite I - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #026 | 2014 Legacy Elite II - Outlaw Oliver, Hull #050 | 2022 Silverado High Country 3500HD SRW Diesel 4x4

Jason Foster Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I have some Star Bright black streak remover scheduled to arrive from Bezos on Wednesday. That stuff works miracles on stubborn stains on fiberglass. I'm sure it will work on that. 2 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel 4X4 Truck 2024 Oliver Legacy Elite II Hull 1460
ScottyGS Posted May 13 Posted May 13 If you don't have acetone you can try a bit of WD-40 or other penetrant. You shouldn't need much. Spray a dime size on a rag and rub where the marks are. Then wash and put a bit of wax on. Most penetrants use some type of solvent to help it flow into cracks and such and it's the solvent that will clean just about anything. 2 Gregg & Donna Scott and Missy the Westie - The Flying Sea Turtle - 2016 Hull # 145 2024 Nissan Titan XD - Western NC
