Hello y'all, My name is Jason and I started here at Oliver Travel Trailer about 3-4 weeks ago in the Web/IT department working under Matt. I am here to help with web development, marketing, seo and to help make the web/forums better. I figured I would come in and introduce myself and give y'all a hello since I have been rather creepish on here for the last 3 weeks! Lol. Glad to be here and excited to see what the future holds in store for us all! I hope to see you at the 2017 Oliver Rally at Thousand Trails Natchez Trace this year! Thanks, Jason8 points

Last fall, we began the search for the perfect for us hard sided trailer. Initially we had our eyes set on a casita (my choice) or a scamp (his choice). And since we couldn't come into agreement on which one, we put it off. I'm so glad we did because about 6 weeks later we discovered The Oliver. It's as if the heavens opened and we both knew straight away this was our "perfect for us" trailer. We ordered our trailer October 2016, and due to weather, had to wait until the end of March 2017 to pick it up. We arrived at the Oliver main office from Colorado to pick it up on a day Hohenwald had shut down schools because of a tornado warning. After a quick meet and greet with Heather and Anita, we drove over to the plant to pick up our Colo Ollie. Jason gave us a thorough walk through of our trailer and although a few things had to be taken care of before we headed out to the campground to test it out, Jason, Dustin, and Justin as well as a few others graciously got those few things in order for us before we left that day (and supplied a bit of comic relief). We slept well that night (no tornados in sight) and Jason was even kind enough to answer a few questions via text after hours that night. The next morning, we went back to the plant and Jason walked through winterization with Lenny and winterized our Ollie for us since we were headed back to Colorado. In addition they also fixed one of the drawers and a switch. Our pick up experience was fabulous. The team at Oliver went above and beyond for us. Thank you Oliver and your awesome team for your time and attention to our needs and questions!2 points

Not sure is anyone is interested, but posting anyway... our first real mod is done to accommodate our 18 pound furry traveling companion... she demands to sleep at the foot of our bed, but the twins in Ollie aren't big enough. So added a 18x30 cushion between the beds for her. The support is light weight, fiberglass covered nidacore. It's stiff, flat, strong and weighs a little over two pounds. The support can serve as a table if desired, and the cushion can serve as a back support up against the kitchen counter when watching movies. The support stows under the mattress when not in use. It's short enough so that we can still get out of bed easily at night.2 points

Not really a mod, but a pretty addition :) These lights plug into a USB port. We used poster putty to tack them to the underside of the storage bins. There are many options on Amazon. These are the ones pictured in the photo: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B018S01Z1Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1491963154&sr=8-2-fkmr0&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=Innotree+LED+Fairy+Lights%2C+Waterproof+Starry+String+Lights+USB+Plu2 points

Yes, it is a nice looking Oliver, BUT, the name sounds like some sort of medical procedure to me. Bill1 point

Not sure if you are aware but Oliver has redesigned their bike rack. It is a bar type not a hitch mount anymore and comes ready to go rack and all. We are getting one. We may be the first to get it. We have a pickup date of April 27. I will be sure to post pictures and tell you how it works. Yvonne1 point

Buy a 2 inch steel ball here: ... https://www.amazon.com/Inch-Chrome-Steel-Bearing-Ball/dp/B0074VCP8S/ref=pd_sbs_328_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0074VCP8S&pd_rd_r=3M8VRMDXW2QG0GNP4A8A&pd_rd_w=86Cm8&pd_rd_wg=vvVu4&psc=1&refRID=3M8VRMDXW2QG0GNP4A8A Insert the ball into your coupler, then close and lock it. Ta DA! Talk about layers of protection. Nobody would see that coming.... BTW I love your idea about anchoring the break-away lanyard to a fixed object. I would love to see the expression on a thief's face when the trailer brakes lock up hard. I'll take your "switch in the front jack wire" idea to the next level. Install a hidden unlabeled toggle switch in the main power wire coming off the fuse for the entire jack circuit, inside the cabin. Run all the jacks down and flip the switch. Or just remove the fuse. All three jacks will be disabled in the extended position. I am adding all this cool MacGyver stuff to my Oliver Honey Do List. John Davies Spokane WA1 point

I use "The Collar" along with the Gus Hill lock. The Gus Hill lock looked to be the strongest one that I could find. The collar lock is great while traveling to make sure the hitch doesn't open and also slow down someone from removing the camper from your tow vehicle. Also don't forget to lock your tow bar to your receiver!1 point
