We were planning to visit Jordanelle State Park, near Park City for three nights. The angle of the strong afternoon sun means limited shade protection under our awning, so we got the Tentproinc sun shade screen (the 6' X 14'3" size) that Overland recommended, and it worked well to increase our area of shade. We were worried that we would not like looking at the world through the mesh, but it was actually pleasant, even cooling, to look through it. There can be gusty winds, and we always stow our awning when leaving camp or before bed. While it was not hard to attach or remove the shade screen from the track in the awning front bar, I did not want to have to do this once or twice each day. So I left the shade screen attached when I rolled in the awning. Unfortunately, the hanging shade screen creates one serious obstacle, at least if I want to open the trailer door. So I used these 10 inch mini bungee cords to attach the shade screen to the awning front bar. And, I can open the trailer door. Jordanelle State Park was really nice, and we will visit again!

I prefer the black doors, It breaks up the white. You cant see into the cabinet’s. With the lights on you only see the light ring around the doors. Just my preference.

Simply put, it is not. An LEII will occasionally drag the frame (actually the aft-most small cross supports for the bumper compartment floor) and this low slung hitch will make things much worse. For uneven surfaces you must position the receiver above the bumper. If you drag a $600 1-Up rack over a ledge it will be a costly repair and it might even dump one or more of your precious bikes onto the ground. Here is the double rack, imagine lifting several thousand pounds of your trailer by dragging the low point..... ouch. If that lower bolt sheers off, the rack will come crashing down. I don't think anything shows through the black doors at all with the lights on. You could probably see the light around the edges though, which I don't think would be an attractive look, and so might be something to think about. I don't know if other Oliver owners flip those lights on and off every time they open an upper cabinet. Seems like that would be a pain - we just flip ours on with the other lights and leave them on. In fact they probably stay on more often than the others since they provides a nice diffuse light to the trailer. Oliver used to do a white door, which though opaque did glow a bit with the lights on.

Even more important: “Note: Using this adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50-percent.“ It is not an appropriate solution, even for a small Elite. Your 1-Up trays could be removed and mounted in back of the Ollie, depending on how heavy and how many bikes you have., plus it would require a custom mount. John Davies Spokane WA

I might want them to protect the concrete in my storage building where I park Hobo. I'm thinking of putting down a nice finish on the concrete for ease of cleaning and don't want the metal pads damaging it.

That is great that your problem was taken care of. Certainly a good outcome to an issue that could have caused you a fair amount of annoyance. Thanks for letting us know about the good stuff. I think that this is a prime example of what most of us talk about when we say that Oliver stands behind its product and is a GREAT company to work with. Yes, not everything goes as smoothly as some of us might like, but, in the end, Oliver stands behind its product and does whatever it can to make sure that we are treated like family. Bill
