I find that works very well, to give ventilation exhaust a path. I just leave the bath fan open a bit, not full. Our older Ollies don't have a heated bathroom, so propping the door open also keeps the bath warmer for night time visits in cold weather.

Back several years ago, we had a problem with our dometic fridge. Our local camping world service center took very good care of us, under warranty. Do you have a camping world, or other authorized dometic repair center, close to you? If the other centers are brand centric, they may not be as helpful.

Did you reserve already? I see you were active in this thread.

I'd like to add that this moisture problem is not unique to Oliver, it can simply be more apparent for a few reasons. First, the Ollie is built very tight , like our home. Second, the built in furniture, no wood, allows more evidence of moisture, in my experience. That's not necessarily a bad thing. You can actually see what you're dealing with, instead of moisture collecting in cabinetry and walls. Using methods to evacuate moisture is important. Even something as simple as wiping walls with a microfiber towel, and drying it outside. Moistute mitigation is important. Think about why you have a shower fan at home.

Wow! Everything looks amazing! What time is dinner?😃

Since the reference is vague, I don't think so. We'll go on, apolitical. I am glad to see a few spots here in Florida, under $3. A week ago, we paid $1.40 or so, a liter. In Chile/patagonia . Happy Thanksgiving. Tree is up, lights on. Ready for decorating tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you both are feeling better, @Katjo.

@John Welte, this may help I tried it, though, on my phone a few minutes ago, and the website referenced wouldn't create a map. Maybe just on break for the holiday? Give it a try, and let us know if it works for you. Please do choose small or medium for the map size...

I would look at roof penetrations, personally. And, ac connections m Following a leak isn't easy. But, with persistence, you will find it. We use white duct tape to seal the obvious offender. I'd recommend carrying a short roll.

What is the Purpose for Downloading All The Manuals?
SeaDawg replied to Geronimo John's topic in General Discussion
My guess (as we've been out of digital touch much of the last six weeks in Antarctica and Patagonia) is that @jwalmsley is trying to make things more searchable from the forum? (Also for those who never seem to find their way to the University. ) It's a bit annoying if you routinely use "recent activity, " as I do, but it will likely help some folks in the future. Hang in there, gj. I'm doing the same. -
Black Friday/Holiday Sale Thread - Where'd it go?
SeaDawg replied to Steve Morris's topic in General Discussion
I remember reading that thread. We were in a cabin on the Magellan strait, outside Punta Arenas, (and actually had decent wifi for 18 hours or so). There was a lot of drama, but definitely not from you. Maybe you could start a new thread here on Black Friday deals for Ollies. I promise we won't shut you down.... -
Sorry to hear you are still having problems, Margaret, but I think you've narrowed some things down. If you've been keeping your trailer closed up most of the time, and you're living in it full-time, you're going to have condensation. (Pretty sure that's the drip coming down the wall and collecting in belly band, since you've had no rain.) We humans emit water when we breathe and sweat, and add showering and cooking and you have moisture in the air that collects on the hull when temperatures drop. A number of folks use a small dehumidifier in similar situations. And, crack the roof vent. Heat rises. The Ollie is pretty tight. You have to evacuate the moisture somehow. 2nd issue, water leak when running pump off tank, but not on city water. Continue looking in the pump area. Fairly likely it's a loose or damaged connection near the pump, and Mike's suggestion of blue paper shop towels in the pump area should help you pinpoint the issue. (You could use regular paper towels, if the area is completely dry before you disconnect from city water, and turn on the pump, but it always seem to show up better with the shop towels for me.) Third issue, rv repair person. I'm guessing you are in an rv park for the season, since you are skirted, and have full hookups. Have you spoken with the park manager about a referral for a qualified rv tech, who will work on-site? You really do need a qualified person to sort out your propane issues. Should you lose electricity over winter, you will need the furnace and the water heater working on gas. Best of luck. It may be that the previous owner of your trailer skipped some maintenance, but you'll eventually get it sorted out, I'm sure. Unfortunately, spring is not just around the corner. The propane issue, especially, needs to be addressed now.

I think people will likely love the Truma varioheat. More quiet and even. Night mode. If iur 15 year old suburban dies, the varioheat is on our radar for a replacement unit. We have a compressor fridge. It consumes 60 to 70 ah per day. Easily managed with our 400 watts of solar, and 200 watts portable, with a Honda 1000 backup. As most of you know, we camp without hookups 99 per cent of the time. But, we are power misers. No inverter, no microwave. Agm batteries (2 x group 31, 105 ah.)

You will love the extra storage. We did just that. We used gloss white doors from ikea, and they look pretty good with the Ollie shiny interior . https://olivertraveltrailers.com/forums/topic/2335-cabinet-to-replace-microwave/

We have two electric trailer dollies and a manual dolly. They're sketchy for even the lighter weight Elite. On anything but flat pavement, I'm holding my breath. They both work well, however, for smaller boat trailers I'm with Steve. Nothing we own would work (safely) with an Elite II. Marginal with an Elite I.

Check your hose attachment fittings

I've been guilty of the same. No worries. -

I think JED said, if registering a trailer in Canada Still and all, after many trips to Alaska, through Canada, of course, I'd want mudflaps. We installed them in 2008. -
Thanks, @Katjo. I loved watching my parents dance,,as well. Love the choice of the Glenn Miller tune.

Off-Road Vehicle Recovery Fatality
SeaDawg replied to Geronimo John's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
This article is a fairly short read. Thanks for the links and info. It is indeed a tragedy. https://www.co4x4rnr.org/breaking-down-the-deadly-az-incident/ -
We loved our maxxis. Good choice.

In older trailers, we don't have that facility. Great that the newer trailers do. I'm happy for you.
