  1. We had 44 last night outside of Steamboat Springs. Got up to 80 this afternoon. Mike
  2. How many boxes do you figure you can get in there? 🤣
  3. The griddles on my Blackstones are steel. I seasoned them and keep them oiled just like I do our cast iron pieces. Nonstick on them is great, fried eggs are easy to flip, no sticking. Mike
  4. Best I can do right now from my chair as I sit outside my trailer with an adult beverage. The Casita left today, the Escape is behind this little Scamp.
  5. We’ve been camping around Colorado since early June and we’ve passed a couple of Olivers on some back highways. We’re currently near Steamboat with a Scamp on one side and a Casita on the other. There’s an Escape just 50 yards away. Can’t beat this weather! Mike
  6. Also, a TPMS will let you know right away what your pressures are!
  7. Welcome to the forum. External links are fine, this one is interesting. Let us know how your mod works! Lots of interest in quiet ACs, Houghton, Truma and Dometic Freshjet. Mike
  8. It generates a lot of heat. There are tons of videos on YouTube that can give you an accurate assessment of its cooking capabilities. It gets hotter than the Weber. Mike
  9. I think they’ve opened it up a little more. First, if you are a veteran, non-retiree, you must be honorably discharged. If you have a membership then your children, their spouse and children are eligible even if you got your membership as the child of someone who was eligible. In other words, grandkids of the originally eligible person. I believe it can carry on like that through successive generations. Someone can check me on that…. I’ve been a member for 50 years. I also worked in their original building just outside of Fort Sam Houston after the army leased it from them when they moved to their new building (which has more office space than the Pentagon, they say). I’m not happy that USAA won’t directly insure RVs, but uses Progressive instead. Mike
  10. Not sure why you would want to fry in a skillet, it’s a griddle so you can fry on it. I just did bacon and eggs this morning. Fajita’s tonight. Easy cleanup. Mike
  11. Sorry to hear about your rollover, but glad to hear your insurance will cover a replacement. I wonder what Oliver will do with your old one? Mike
  12. The Blackstone griddle is not a grill. Griddle only. It still does a fine job on steaks/burgers/etc. Perfect for breakfast bacon and eggs. Mike
  13. We’ve been using a Weber Q1000 since we picked up in 2016. I added the cast iron griddle plate. We’ve also been using a 17” Blackstone the past few years. I also have a 22” Blackstone that we use at home. Both the Weber and Blackstone hook into the quick connect on the trailer (Weber regulator removed). Sometimes we travel with both, sometimes just the Blackstone. The Blackstone is more versatile, you can cook more on it than the Weber. Mike
  14. Our USAA/Progressive went up again this year. Not sure what we’ll do. Mike
  15. Congrats! It seems overwhelming at first, but soon you’ll know it like the back of your hand. Mike
  16. We always check to see who is at the Opry or if there are any performances at the Ryman. There are also music related museums in Nashville. A trip to the Jack Daniels distillery is interesting. Mike
  17. We’ve got a 2016 and have close to 100K miles. No axle issues. I’m not aware of any other older trailers with axle issues either. I will be replacing our brakes in the spring. As soon as I decide on which quiet AC to get I’ll replace our jet-engine Dometic, although is still cools fine. I’ve replaced the inverter, batteries, 7pin connector, power inlet on the side of the trailer and a few other small items that simply wore out. Are there other areas you are concerned with? I feel like I’ve got ours broken in pretty well as we start our 8th year. Mike
  18. John - so sorry circumstances require you to sell your Oliver! I hope whatever health issues are contributing aren’t serious and improve. You should have a quick sale! Take care - Mike
  19. Looks like a great rally! I think regional rallies are a great way to get “neighbors” together. Mike
  20. We have a Black Rifle coffee shop downtown in our little town of Boerne, TX. It’s more popular than the Starbucks on the other side of the freeway and is a great place to have a cup. The coffee is good, you can order the strength you like. We like it. Mike
  21. I didn’t drill any holes. The switch sits on top of the middle battery inside the battery box. Not fancy but functional and easy, Mike
  22. Installing a switch is just a matter of disconnecting cables from the battery and reconnecting to the switch. The challenge for me was just figuring out the best spot for the switch! Mike
  23. Looks like you did a great job!
  24. Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear your Q7 is doing the job. We’ve owned a bunch of Audi’s since our first new one in 1976! Keep us updated on your travels. Mike
  25. Diesel is $2.99 at our Walmart, Quick Stop and HEB (Supermarket).
