  1. Let me add my congratulations to John’s and Sherry’s. This is a good place to find answers to what you are wondering about. Glad to have you! Mike
  2. Hey Steve and Mary Allyn, congrats from Fair Oaks Ranch just to your north. Hopefully you’ve had your questions answered by posts on the forum, if not, ask away! Mike
  3. Agree. I’ve got the soft start and a Champion 2K Watt generator that runs the AC fine. Mike
  4. Hey Don, welcome back! That looks like quite a trailer. Some good stuff coming out of Australia! Please keep us posted on how it goes after you pick it up. Mike
  5. Our logo is 23.5” in diameter.
  6. Looks like a nice campground for relaxing! Mike
  7. Yep! I scratched my head for a minute or two when I had a similar situation and then figured that was going to be it and it was. Glad it was only that for you, too. You should be back to normal. Mike
  8. I’m sure someone smarter than I am will give you some ideas. My understanding is that all the 12V stuff works off the batteries, so if lights work while connected to AC the batteries should have some charge. Check under the street side bed where your Blue Sky box is and there are two big circuit breakers, make sure one or both isn’t tripped (there will be a red “flag” sticking out if tripped, just push it back in). I recall once when I had no 12V and it was because of one of those breakers. Not sure why it tripped, happened just once in almost 6 years. Mike
  9. I wish I could tell you that after a few trips you won’t forget to open/close that valve. We still forget occasionally! It’s on our departure checklist so we usually remember to close it for travel, but setting up can sometimes have distractions and we realize we forgot to open it when our feet get wet while brushing our teeth! 🤣
  10. I tow with a full fresh tank mainly to have water available on the road and especially if we’re going to dry camp. I also tow with various levels in the gray and black (except when we’re starting a trip). Sometimes you can’t dump until you arrive at the next location or somewhere on the road. To be honest, I’ve never noticed any real difference with full tanks, empty tanks or partially full tanks. After dry camping, the fresh tank is less, gray and black more. I think it is a testimony to the Oliver design of flat tanks positioned well. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. Mike
  11. Yes, we spoke to her and she told us that she had a cousin with an Oliver! She didn’t ask for a tour, but seemed very nice. We like Table Rock State Park and visiting Branson. My grandparents lived there starting in the 60s through the 90s. Branson was a hole in the wall back then! Mike
  12. We use our cell booster. It usually gives us an additional bar. I can’t imagine eating a meal on a Lagun table while sitting on the bed. Unless you have long legs your feet might dangle if you have an optional mattress. I’m sure there are those who have done it and maybe they can chime in. Mike
  13. The Andersen is a little more work when hitching and unhitching, I wouldn’t call it a pain. It’s a WDH, so it requires some effort to use. Just part of the process! Mike
  14. Foy makes custom wooden products for Oliver owners. You can order an Oliver with a Lagun table and then have Foy craft a custom replacement. Mike
  15. Click on your name in the upper right corner of the page. Go to account settings then signature. Add what you want! Mike
  16. I’ve never disabled the anti-sway on any of my trucks, even when towing with the Andersen. The Oliver is not a trailer prone to sway, I’ve never experienced any sway in all types of towing conditions. When I used the Andersen it was for weight distribution. Mike
  17. Welcome to the group. I agree with JD, your truck sounds like you would constantly be at its capability limits. You might get by on level terrain but hills or mountains would probably prove too much. As someone who upgraded from a Tacoma to a 1500 to a 2500 over the last 6 years there is no comparison. I would recommend a bit more truck, there are lots of Ollie II owners pulling with the 3.5 version of the F150 with increased weight capacities. Mike
  18. Agree. One of our set up tasks is to open both vents. If it’s cold the fan stays off. If it’s warm the fan gets turned on. When it gets really cold (20s or teens) we’ll close one of the vents. Mike
  19. Congrats! Lots of time to explore accessories and plan trips. July will be here before you know it. Mike
  20. Welcome, CnC! Keep us posted on your personalization and other projects. It’s alway interesting to see who owners make each Oliver their own. Mike
  21. Who needs a house up on a hill When you can have one on four wheels And take it anywhere the wind might blow You don't ever have to mow the yard Just hang a map and throw a dart And pray to God the engine starts and go Water and electric and a place to drain the septic Any KOA is A-OK as long as I'm with you So come on hitch your wagon To the living room I'm draggin' If I can't bring you to my house I'll bring my house to you Parking lots and county lines Coutin' mile marker signs Where the buffalo and antelope Greetings from Niagara Falls One more postcard for the wall Off in our home sweet home away from home Water and electric and a place to drain the septic Any KOA is A-OK as long as I'm with you So come on hitch your wagon To the living room I'm draggin' If I can't bring you to my house I'll bring my house to you In Washington, in Idaho In Oregon and away we go To Tennessee and Arkansas No we won't stop 'til we've seen 'em all 'Til we've seen 'em all So what else could you ask for? You don't even need a passport To see the whole world from our living room So come on hitch your wagon To the happiness I'm draggin' If I can't bring you to my house I'll bring my house to you If I can't bring you to my house I'll bring my house to you It don't matter where we go We'll never be alone Anywhere besides you, is a place that I'll call home It don't matter where we go We'll never be alone Anywhere besides you is a place that I'll call home
  22. A sad day, indeed. We’ll be finishing up our trip to CO, NM, and MO this week, then home for a couple months before heading to AZ in January. At least you have some great areas to hike around Brevard, so take advantage! Mike
  23. Seems like last I checked a full set was around $700.
  24. I’ve thought about ordering new white shades since two of mine have had broken strings. Maybe the next time one breaks I will. They aren’t cheap! Mike
  25. Good review, Jeff. I’ll have to check out the Unique stuff. We usually don’t use anything in the gray tank while we’re traveling and add Happy Camper when we get home. Black tank is a detergent pod and a capful of Calgon water softener which probably wouldn’t be good for a composting toilet! Mike
