Don't try. The sites are small, the campground road is very narrow. No place for your tow vehicle, 20' max length. Someone did try and had no place to turn around. It was a struggle. Not to mention the drive up with switch backs. Yes, delivery trucks get up to the lodge, but you have a tow vehicle and trailer. Cottonwood or Rio Grand Village are your best spots, or get a site that requires a permit. Do drive up to Chisos and hike "The Windows" trail. Can't beat the views.

Using house current while parked
John Dorrer replied to Mark Meadows's topic in Welcome to the Oliver Forums
I posted an e-mail on another post. I would consult with Oliver as different batteries have different settings. Not exactly sure where to have you look, but Oliver will help. -
Using house current while parked
John Dorrer replied to Mark Meadows's topic in Welcome to the Oliver Forums
As Steph & Dud B stated. We kept tripping our son's breaker until Oliver provided guidance. #28 down to 15. Don't forget to switch it back. Using the phone app is easier to make the changes, so after unplugging turn on the inverter so you can pull up the phone app. Easy Peasy. -
We live in Carmel, IN. The storage place is up I-69 in Muncie, IN. This was a very lucky find. There wasn't one open spot come winter. Also, you can't just come and pick-up or drop-off your trailer. I text the manager a couple days ahead and he has the bay doors open and is waiting for me. I can have it at home for a few days before or after a trip. The hour drive each way is a bit much, but I would be paying $300+/- for just a covered roof and no shore hook-up.

We store ours in an old warehouse, converted to RV and boat storage. Paid $90/mo in 2022 and $100 for 2023. Just had it washed and coated with Magiar's ceramic coating. I can plug in to keep the batteries full, and the battery warmer on in the winter. No room to build and strict HOA rules

Grease Monkey Question
John Dorrer replied to Wandering Sagebrush's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Mr. Sage, I found that the front and rear Zerks need to have the tire raised to take pressure off and allow the grease to flow into the Zerk. Don't know whether that will help in your situation or whether the Zerk is plugged. -
A quick question on using shore power and air conditioning

The relief stopped bubbling and hissing. I also turned the set screw and allowed some propane out 2-3 seconds. Turned a tank on and lite both stove burners. All seems to be good.

A quick question on using shore power and air conditioning
John Dorrer replied to Steve Morris's topic in General Discussion
Just plugging in tripped. I Forwarded an e-mail from Hanna to Steve to share what I needed to do. #28 on the inverter had to be changed. I have easy start, but we weren't using anything but the lights, and the house was charging the batteries. Not sure how I can get that e-mail on here. There are great tables she sent in the e-mail. -
A quick question on using shore power and air conditioning
John Dorrer replied to Steve Morris's topic in General Discussion
Steve, back in April we camped in our son's driveway. It was cool and we didn't need AC. However, When I plugged into his outside outlet, I was tripping his breaker. I called Oliver and they had me lower a setting on the inverter. We weren't really using anything, but still had to adjust the inverter. Re-set it when we got ready to leave. -
Just our tanks filled. A couple hours after re-installing the tanks, I smelled propane. I got my sniffer out and it went off on both tanks indicating a high presence of propane. On the back side of the tank, just below the knob is what looks like a pressure relief. There is a red cap. It is hissing, there are bubbles, and condensation at this area. This is where I tested with my sniffer. I checked the connections to the hose and the top of the tank and the sniffer didn't go off. It is around 90°. Is this just full tanks off gassing, or do I have an issue. Thanks.

Norcold Fridge control panel/plastic is loose
John Dorrer replied to AlbertNTerri's topic in General Discussion
Exactly. She did say registering wasn't required. I had to get Oliver to send me a signed letter that our Oliver was a 2022 and we picked it up in March 2022. -

Sea Dog is right. We had an issue with our Norcold. We contacted a Norcold approved mobile RV company when we were in Texas. We also called Norcold and discovered that Oliver had not registered our fridge. We registered it over the phone The part that was bad was the AC heating element. It was replaced and everything worked fine for the first two trips. On the way home from the Rally the temps on AC went from 35°/2° to 44°/24° in less than 2 hours. Switched to LP. On our recent trip every 48 hours temps went through the roof Dropped it off for a week but they couldn't get to it. Call Norcold to register the fridge and find a Norcold approved RV place, www.norcold.com -
I missed the presentation due to doing an owner video. I guess a call to Matt would be a good idea. I did what you did, before the rewards program started and was told I couldn't claim it.

It is important to notify Oliver and start a ticket. They can walk you through what needs to be done. support@olivertraveltrailers.com You will get an immediate return e-mail with your ticket number. Within a short time I usually get a phone call. Good Luck. Please share the outcome. -
Steve, I just check the rules in the rewards brochure. It says that to be eligible the showing has to be arranged by Oliver and both parties must confirm with Oliver. I did what you did, thinking that would be my second showing, no luck. Here are the rules, in case you don't have them.
-
Steve, I assume the showing was scheduled by Oliver. It has to be to get credit. Mine took awhile before I received the Debit Card.

Great National Monument and great campground. Amazing hikes.

Problem finding Oliver Facebook group. Split from another topic

Glad that Ruth got this corrected. Thank you for your patience. Still not sure what happened😊 -
It has to do with state insurance laws. In Indiana my truck camper and now our Oliver E2 are insured by USAA.

What is the name that you would have used to join? I fixed 2 others, and we can't figure how this happened. I will get to the bottom of it quickly. -

Weird, I will check this out. We had a couple others that turned up at the. Rally and fixed. It is very strange -
We have had the Garmin-Inreach Explorer for about 8 years. It is peace of mind. You never know when you might need it. In the winter we stop the plan and start back up before our first trip in late February.

Thanks. I will make use of it and will let you know when we will out there.👍
