I agree, but wonder why this just seemed to explode with the video. I have never watched that guy before, so I have no clue as to his background and knowledge.

How do they explain the amount of plastic burned, excessive heat, and cell damage? We have an Oliver Owner on Facebook who is an electrical engineer. He was dumbfounded. I think Battleborn needs to hit this head on, and not just put out, what I perceive as a protect your "Ass" statement.

When I watched the video I was dumb founded. The comments are unreal. People have been bringing this to Battleborn 's attention and their response to the owners has been, " you must have damaged the batteries, your issue, not Battleborn 's. Wow.

Wow! We were there in early October during the Shutdown. The only thing closed was the Visitor Center. We camped at Trailer Park in the park, run by a contracted vendor, so no issues. The views were spectacular. Thanks for sharing.

I found this picture on another RV site, no comments, no link. I did some sluething and found the YouTube Video. Go to YouTube and search "Battleborn 12-volt battery issue" and look for the video with this picture. For those with Battleborn Lithiums, check your batteries. Be careful. This appears to have the potential for something very serious. UPDATE: Video added

Mark, I don't have the answer, but we experienced something that was similar When I would take the trailer back to the storage warehouse for 2-4 weeks, I would leave the solar on inside the building. I noticed a big difference like you. I remember having a phone conversation with Oliver. They suggested turning solar off while storing Next times and the battery discharge was within 1%. Your situation is different. I suggest you reach out to Lithonics technical support. They have always been helpful when I have called them Keep us posted.

Taping the transfer switch, getting power and then not having it is not good. The transfer switch you apparently have ,has had several owners having fires and melted wires as a result of no maintenance to tighten all wire connectors. Chris Sharff is one owner that had to replace his transfer switch. The transfer switch is located, I believe under the rear dinette. The last thing you need is a fire.

What exterior caulk is the factory using now?
John Dorrer replied to Townesw's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
JD, I hope the no caulk works for you. I think you are making a big mistake. The tape caulk/rope used to hold the windows in place isn't designed for UV exposure. The sealant applied by Oliver is a secondary line of defense and designed to protect the tape caulk from UV exposure.. The tape caulk/rope will fail and you most likely would have to pull the windows, and start over. Living in Arizona you will have an accelerated deterioration. I spent 40 years designing sealant systems, for exterior work. High-rises, schools, and many more. -
๐๐ You won't regret that move up, and there won't be anymore battery management concerns. You won't be on that 24/7 monitoring๐

We got 5 years out of 2-12 volt AGM's before needing new ones. The thing to remember is 12.2-12.3 is the lowest you want to go It takes only one time below 12.2/12.3 to cause damage. Some might get lucky, but I know several people who destroyed their AGM's after one low draw.

Very nice JD, ๐๐๐๐

I have never had an issue receiving parts from Oliver. I send an e-mail first to: support@olivertraveltrailers.com I usually hear back from Mike Sharp within 24 hours. This is a standard part and Oliver should be able to send a replacement, cost + shipping. What is meant by "Oliver was unable to help"? You can order parts from Oliver.

Has this been resolved? -
Please edit and correct typos. Are these notes from the original Owner? Please add your trailer year to your signature. If the notes were from the original owner, I would be on the phone with him to get as much info as you can to share with the group.

Riley Creek COE, just West of Sandpoint, ID, off of US Highway 2, is one of the nicest COE parks we have camped at. Beautiful sites. We had site #8. Great spacing between sites. Their Day Use area has many shelters and the grounds have a sprinkler system. Looked like a golf course over last Labor Day weekend. They have a beautiful swim beach, boat launch, and Dog Island, where your pets can run and swim. Hope we can get back there again. Water and Electric

That closet is a valuable space for us. I bet in 4 years, we have only used our shower 1-2, just using the campground showers.

And apparently still with the dreaded carpet on the walls๐คฃ

On the remote. Were you able to open and close the awning?
