  1. Experimented with a small all metal cookie box as a Faraday container a few years ago and found it would not work well unless lined with aluminum foil. That's why I wanted to test the Faraday Pouches from Amazon, should arrive tomorrow.
  2. Will do! Thinking about this issue when camping last month.
  3. David, Ordered a two pack from your link. Thanks, Bill
  4. HDRider, The rear differential ratio is 3.31 on on our model SR5 2022 CrewMax Cab 2WD Tundra towing #75 LE2. When I first purchased the 2022 Tundra most were calling the engine an i-Force 3.5L including my original Toyota window sticker 🙂, but on the 2024 Toyota website today it's called an "i-Force" 3.4L engine. The twin turbo 3.4 V-6 engine replaced the 5.7L V-8 starting in 2022. For those that have a 2022 or later Tundra, some come with a hybrid system (more power/torque) called "i-Force MAX" power train. Thanks for your work on this project.
  5. HDRider, thanks for putting this together! Towing #75 LE2 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5 2WD Gas 3.5L twin-turbo V6 1400 pound load capacity Tow Capacity 11,400 pounds .
  6. We have two small electric de-humidifiers we use in Ollie. Condensation will collect between the hulls where the Oliver Sign is located in the overhead storage. Been thinking about installing a 2" vent in each removable bulkhead partitions where the Oliver sign is located along with using a small de-humidfier in that compartment to better help with condensation.
  7. Our hose fell off of the of the heat outlet in the bathroom. Don’t know how your hand towel holder/soap dish is secured, but ours was installed with only 3M sealant. Did not like how ours was secured, so used four screws with caps and U seal around the hand towel holder/soap dish edge to prevent removing sealant again.
  8. 2015 LE2 # 75 has a heat outlet under the toilet paper holder in the bathroom.
  9. First time we saw an Oliver Legacy Elite was before the Legacy Elite 2 was available. We loved the looks of the interior and exterior of the Legacy Elite and wanted to eventually buy one. One of our previous campers had a wood floor that eventually started to rot from a previous water leak. When we were in the market for a Ollie or Airstream, the Airstream was only available with a wood floor (at that time) and Ollie was built with inner and outer fiberglass hulls. We decided to buy an Oliver. Found a used 2015 LE2 for sale during 2016. Since purchasing Ollie we fixed leaks from porch lights and rear Oliver sign. Also had a PEX pipe to leak in the basement. After fixing these leaks, we don't have to worry about having a wood floor that will rot. Camping with Ollie has been a wonderful way to explore and stay at places around the USA we always wanted to visit. Two things learned since buying our LE2, Ollie has gained value above the used purchase price and has wonderful towing manners. Best way I can explain it is Ollie is very pleasant to camp with.
  10. @Jstone, that's nice. We sleep with our heads towards the galley, too. We watch TV while in bed, also.
  11. A new MaxxFan is expensive, but replaced mine with a new MaxxAir on #75. Lower priced MaxxAir fans can be found on internet compared to the following link. Left the original MaxxAir roof mount in place only needed to remove four screws and disconnected two wires to remove MaxxAir unit, if I remember correctly. Individual MaxxAir parts might be available online, too. Someone on the forum already has my old remote control. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZOF09Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  12. We were fortunate to see a great pilot do an airshow with a Beech 18 a few years ago, with a serious smoke system. 🙂 A Lady that flew Beech 18 aircraft for years taught me how make taildragger landings in a Luscombe, still using her method today. 🙂
  13. Cups must have been larger, we had good rounds of golf and it was not because of our golf skills. 🙂 We were looking for something a little warmer than temps at home during January. On our last day temps were 65F. Had a little rain, but mostly pleasant weather. Campsites 43, 44, and 45 were nice, we were on #45. Folks were fishing, bicycling, and boating there.
  14. Took this photo south of Augusta Georgia of a Beechcraft 18. Camped at Hardridge Creek COE Campground on the Walter F George Lake in SE Alabama, we played golf on the Georgia side the lake.
  15. Took some photos of Ollie's new orbital bathroom 🙃:
  16. Met many nice folks showing Ollie. Sometimes we have questions, “What is it” or “It’s like an Airstream”, or “Is it new”. We had a note on Ollie one time in PA from a couple with their campsite number wanting to see inside Ollie. We were the same way when we first saw an Ollie during 2010, after being shown the interior and exterior by a very nice couple from FL, we hoped we would be able to buy one.
  17. What a great adventure! Enjoy seeing your photos and videos!
  18. Thanks for posting the videos! Beautiful scenery, park almost looks empty. October must be a good time to visit.
  19. Took me twice as long on the first shade compared to the second shade. Your estimate probably OK for the second shade. Don’t think our 2015 model had one, but it was 6 years ago. 😐
  20. Checked our Ollie's original yellow tag, RV Trailer Cargo Carrying Capacity in the closet. The original empty weight of our LE2 #75 was 4860 pounds with a cargo capacity of 2140 pounds. Our ready to camp weight is under 5000 pounds with empty fresh/grey/black tanks, with full 6 gallon water heater reducing Ollie's weight by placing the spare wheel/tire in the pickup bed, replaced two group 27 batteries with one Lithium 100AH battery , and replaced original LP tanks with smaller tanks. Our style of camping will not work for all campers here, but works great for us. Our entire rig weighs in at 11,100 pounds with a 2022 Tundra TV during our last camping trip with the trailer tongue weight fitting within the 9% to 11% of trailer weight as required by the Tundra's operators manual. The latest generation Toyota Sequoia has the same engine as our Tundra, but the new Hybrid Sequoia has more torque/HP than our non Hybrid Tundra. Previous comments in this thread are valid when interior space of the Hybrid Sequoia is compared to 4 door Crewcab pickup's available storage space. Our Tundra has plenty of power for our style of camping, but as mentioned above, I understand why some folks here need a HD truck for LE2 towing duty. HD trucks are not required for towing an LE2 Ollie safely if care is taken with overall weight management and complying with TV operators manual. I have not towed through any western US mountain passes yet with our current Tundra, but someone here recently posted in another thread about towing their LE2 with a 2023 Tundra through +10,000' mountain passes without any issues.
  21. Straight & level make me queasy! 🙃
  22. Thanks for looking up those weights. Subtract 340 pounds from the load capacity making a new load capacity of 1060 pounds. Add that weight to the above curb weight. 1060 pounds + 5440 pounds = 6500 pounds that is 490 pounds under vehicle gross weight of 6990 pounds, use that method of finding payload or use the correct method to find actual payload by subtracting curb weight from gross weight, which is 6990 pounds - 5440 pounds = 1550 pounds. I will not exceed the placarded load capacities.
  23. Check out the how to calculate truck payload capacity section in Reading Truck’s following link. https://www.readingtruck.com/calculating-your-trucks-maximum-payload-and-towing-capacity/
