Indeed. For about $1.50 each get several (Similar to these). I stuck one on the tongue like Rideandfly, one by the Ollie's door and another one right under the bath window. I thought about getting bigger bubble levels like John Davies but I simply didn't like the look and since I always get out of the truck to take a look around the area I'm pulling into anyway, these smaller levels don't really cause me any more work. Having said this - I do have my "eye" (read that I've got a price set on Camel, Camel, Camel) for a LevelMatePro like AlbertANDTerri have, but, I'll need to get a decent smart phone first 😏. Bill p.s. they do sell those simple bubble levels with a white base that matches the Ollie better versus the black base.

Being only 60 miles further west of Patriot here in western North Carolina, we hardly got any rain at all. Seven inches were originally predicted for us but as of right now we have only received .23 inches with hardly any wind. The "luck of the draw" and the whims of Mother Nature I suppose. Even so, one's heart does go out to all those that are having the misfortune of being in the path of the storm and it is so heartening to hear that both SeaDawg and Mossemi are OK. Only hope that others of our Family of Olivers have also weathered the storm. Bill

No "secret" Ollie rally that I know of but I do remember when I saw my first Ollie in the wild. I waved like crazy and honked my horn - to no avail - but the look on the face of the lady in the car next to me was priceless. Guess she thought that I had lost it. Camping at 40 degrees in that little camper really shouldn't require much heat with one or two people inside it. The Oliver is going to be sooooo much more comfortable. Bill

Indeed - the jack fuse holder for my front jack is located right under the jack head at the front of the trailer. None of the three jacks have ever given me any problem but I do complete annual maintenance on them each Spring. Bill

There are several "apps" for a smart phone that (as long as the phone is on) will alert you to severe weather. This includes tornados, thunder storms, earth quakes, wild fires, flooding events and even rip currents at the beach. I've found Severe Weather App to be particularly useful because it uses the GPS in your phone to know where you are located and only gives you alerts for that location. Therefore, I do not need to know exactly what county I'm presently in. Obviously you need a cell phone signal for it to work though. Bill

For those not familiar with these storms, the predictions of the track of the hurricane is still not certain. This makes it difficult for those wishing to travel away from the major impacts. Bill

I'm not certain that this is what you are asking about with item #2 but ; When using a hand pump in order to inject anti-freeze into the exterior ports (fresh water and city water), it helps if you open a faucet on the interior of the Ollie while you are using the hand pump. This allows the pressure you are building up to go somewhere. Bill

If you don't wax those decals, you will have one heck of a time getting bugs and other "stuff" off. I always give my decals a bit of extra wax just to make sure they are as "sealed" as I can get them. Bill

In 1993 while living in Saint Louis there was a prediction that the "next big one" was certain to happen any day now. Therefore, all of the home owner insurance companies raised their rates in order to help pay for this event. I'm guessing that by now the insurance companies have enough in reserves that they will be able to make the Mississippi flow in whatever direction they choose.😇 Bill

I do carry an assortment of Sharkbite fittings with me at all times in the event I should need to do a plumbing repair while on the road. However, there have been several posts concerning the possible failure of these fittings (unless performed exactly correct) in the various abusive (read that as vibration and flexing) environments that are common with travel trailers. Note the "Builtright" shelf in Patriot's pictures above as can be seen right below the 890 GPS and its magnetic mount. In my case with a non-lifted F150 I attached a RAM mount to the shelf and brought the 890 closer to the driver's position also without obscuring any of the view out the windshield nor any of the controls or view of anything on the dash. There are a number of mounting option for this 890 Garmin. Try doing a search for the 890 here and a whole series of mounts using RAM mounts and a "Builtright" shelf should show up. Bill

When this happened a couple of years ago at the Baker's Hole NFS campground just north of West Yellowstone the three of us Ollie owners decided to have a pot luck dinner. It was a fun evening - particularly so when a thunder storm rolled though and forced us to crowd into the center of the screen house we were in. What are the odds? Bill

I absolutely agree and nicely said. I've used a Calmark cover for the past 6 winters on my Oliver without any issues. I believe that many of the problems that people have with RV covers is that they can be ill fitting and/or improperly installed. Since the CalMark is specifically designed to fit the Oliver it does not "flap" in the wind (thus possibly chaffing the finish) the usual problems that owners have with covers are avoided. In addition, if the owner cares for the cover - cleaning it as recommended - and only covers the Oliver when the Ollie is clean to start with problems are severely mitigated. Certainly if I had a a reasonable alternative - such as a garage - I would use it versus any fabric cover. But, from my experience, the CalMark cover certainly does beat (hands down) simply leaving any RV subject to the full whims of nature. Also, I would not agree that the Oliver Travel Trailer Company "often makes mistakes during the build". Yes, these people are indeed human and therefore do make mistakes. But, I certainly would not agree that these mistakes occur "often". Bill
