  1. If you have the Oliver supplied surge protector inside your Ollie, it should have a remote readout that cycles between various readouts. One of these should be telling you the voltage that is actually coming into your Ollie. I'm guessing that the voltage was too low which, in turn, means that your amperage was too low. If that be the case then it is highly likely that switching to the 50 amp at the pedestal would have not helped you. As I remember it, you do not have the solar panel option. If that is the case then I don't think that you have no way of directly telling what amps you are receiving. One of the products on THIS AMAZON page could help either at the pedestal and/or inside your Ollie. In addition, you might want to watch THIS VIDEO for ideas on a fairly inexpensive product that might get you what you need. Good luck! Bill
  2. No wonder I never heard of it - my Elite II never had that in the first place! I'd bet that Oliver started putting that seal on when they switched from the "old" rubber latches to those new fangled jobs.😁 Bill
  3. I'm about a year older than you - in Ollie years - and my 4 T-105's are still hanging in there. I almost pulled the trigger on new batteries a month Before the Owner's Rally but I tested these guys and they all passed. Given the odds I do know that I'm living on borrowed time and that clock is getting louder minute by minute! Certainly you must have taken good care of them - nice job. Bill
  4. geO - Didn't you post a video over on YouTube back in the day when you first got your Ollie and you were having "issues"? I assume that Service corrected these for you? Bill
  5. Interesting - This is the first time I've heard about this seal "coming off". Can you get a picture of it? Bill
  6. Too late now - but-always take that glass tray out of the microwave BEFORE leaving camp. It can be stored in various places - I store mine in the cubbie right above the microwave. Bill
  7. Well - not quite. Get yourself one of THESE to make inserting and retracting the hitch pin through the whale tail even easier. Bill
  8. As JD says above - most any decent chassis grease will do the job. Other than the crawling around the job isn't really very difficult. However, you might want to consider getting some of zerk grease fitting caps like THESE to help keep those fitting cleaner. Bill
  9. John and Jodi - Good luck and safe travels on getting to the Mothership and picking up your new baby. Don't forget a camera and posting pics here! Bill
  10. Don - Nicely done with a great description. Thanks for posting it! Bill
  11. Heck - I have 4 lead acid batteries that (via the inverter) easily run the microwave. I really don't know how long it will run the microwave before the batteries would run dry but I do know that a 2 minute bag of popcorn followed by a 5 minute baked potato, followed by a 2 minute cup of water for hot tea don't hardly make a dent in the battery power I have available. Bill
  12. No question that this is true. Simply put - it takes energy to do each of these conversions. Bill
  13. For all our Forum members, guests and Oliver travelers that might be in the way of this storm - please be careful! While this is not a hurricane it just might produce flooding, rain (obviously) and winds that could uproot trees. Thinking about you and wishing you the best. Bill
  14. Unfortunately, I missed this part! This caused me to be thinking about having never coming across any suction cup at Harbor Freight that looked anything like the ones shown in the picture above. In turn, I happened to be at Harbor Freight this morning, found the suction cups but they (obviously) were in one piece that formed a "handle" between them. It really helps to actually read the entire post! Nicely done on both the post and the mod! Bill
  15. OK - I can handle the verbiage - BUT - The pictures have got to STOP! It looks soooooo good! Bill
  16. Better on those pics? Bill
  17. Sadly - she did not survive. - Bill https://www.sweetwaternow.com/woman-gored-by-bison-at-yellowstone-national-park-monday-has-reportedly-died/
  18. My Garmin InReach Mini satellite communications device also can get weather without an internet connection. Just another reason to have more than one way to get important information. Bill
  19. And people ask me why I always wait until after July 4th to head West for fly fishing. Bill
  20. Can you say "burn a piston and burn a valve and burn a wallet" all in the same breath? Ouch!
  21. Can you get a picture of it? Bill
  22. Not that I didn't believe Seadawg - but - I have never seen the "spring hooks" sold separately. So, HERE they are on Amazon. Yeah!😇 Bill
  23. Yes, even for the 2016 OLEII we received (2) 10' sections.😁 I still have mine - new, never been out of the box. Black tank is getting a bit full though 😉. Bill
