Can anyone help me identify the TYPE and SIZE of screws to anchor the lines around the Water Pump? I have found several of these are missing (see photos attached), and am loathe to take any out, because I'm not sure whether I can re-install them by hand OR whether they will stay in place, if mounted into the existing holes. I'm on the road (not at home) and haven't been able to find a hardware where I can pull in with my trailer in tow to get help with this. I don't have power tools, so am limited to using the standard screwdrivers. Does anyone have suggestions or solutions: - alternative mounting (screws of different size, addition of some kind of glue, or different system to hold them down) - how to size screws (in general) without removing them Is this standard (another thing to add to the list for pre-trip maintenance)? I have inquired at OTT mothership (I discovered them missing right after my maintenance service). They have not been able to assist with identifying the screws used, nor suggesting methods to reinstall or what to use in place of original anchors. EDIT: ** They did suggest that I could "try gorilla epoxy" to see if it would help (once I find the right size and type of screws to use, one would assume).**

I usually ask service to check my TV spare condition and pressure when I go in for tire rotation — and most recently, I requested it when I replaced my TV tires. HOWEVER, when the tires were replaced, and they checked my TV spare, something happened, and it triggered issues: Warning Messages on the dashboard alternating between “check trailer wiring” and “trailer brakes connected”. I will start a new thread for this, when I get it resolved — but just wanted to make a note that there’s a control module (computer) located somewhere near the TV spare — so be aware of that. **I don’t want this comment to distract from the main thread.**

I have my crew cab rear seats folded up, and I carry my torque wrench in the folded seat on rolled up towels.

The socket gets stuck — no problem getting it ON, no problem turning the wrench (it’s long handled). And I had help obtaining the correct socket size.

This summer I had “practice” changing a truck tire (someone else’s truck) and it was enlightening. None of us were heavy enough to get the lugs off (I was able to loosen just 2 of them by standing and lightly bouncing my weight on the lug wrench.) I went out and bought 3 sections of galvanized pipe, one for each of us.

Belated Greetings to the Oliver I saw on Wednesday September 24th — you were heading east and I was heading west along I-40 somewhere in western Texas! You were my 8th Oliver sighting for the year, not counting Olivers at the Mothership.

I already use this — but still find it difficult.

I used mine once — in the first month of ownership, testing to see how to project something from my phone (it worked). I wonder about this too.

There are several peripheral issues in the post that I find interesting, including the fact that the recessed lugs are difficult to deal with (my experience every time I check the lugs with my hand-powered torque wrench.)

I am researching for boondocking sites in Eastern States, and happened upon this MAP VIEW on BLM's website. I hadn't seen this before and I find it informative and useful, so I just thought I would share it here. Years ago I traveled that coastline (by bicycle) and there is so much to see there -- Cape Flattery Lighthouse, Fort Stevens SP, Nehalem Bay SP, plenty of trails and cultural sights. Thanks for sharing, it brings back great memories!

Can you give coordinates of that location? I'm not finding (via google maps). Is it a boondocking site?

From the north -- I forgot about the bridge at Deception Pass State Park ... otherwise I only know of the ferries from Mukilteo (north of Seattle) and Fort Casey (from Port Townsend on the Olympic peninsula). I had the great fortune of spending six months on Whidbey Island and it was glorious.

Trying to migrate this question back to the "We Saw an Ollie" thread, so I will ask again: does anyone know the owner and/or hull number for "Our Escape Pod" ?

It was me! …. Hull 1060 So far, I think I’ve seen 4 or 5 Olivers this summer (4 months on the road so far, but 3 of those months were in Wyoming)… and Bill is the only owner I’ve had the chance to actually meet! Does anyone know who owns “Our Escape Pod” and their hull number?

Greetings to the Oliver I saw parked at the Ridley’s parking lot in Pinedale! I think you are from Louisiana — but there’s no mistaking your Oliver! “Our Escape Pod”!

Another difference I see between my 2022 and this 2026 is the orientation of the propane cooktop — mine is rotated 90 degrees and off to the far right side, giving me a decent work surface between the sink and the cooktop. I think I would be miserable with the limited working surface. Maybe that change happened in a previous model?

Is that a bike rack on the back of your Oliver?

Two years later and another friend recommended C.J. Box -- I listened to "Open Season" (#1 in the Pickett series) and I couldn't put it down! Thanks to @mossemi and @topgun2 for the mentions here. It was great fun especially given my time spent in Wyoming this summer -- I recognized (and had visited) most of the places mentioned!
