  1. Unless it's changed since September 2022, I was advised there are anchor points in the hull for solar panels even if you don't get solar during production.
  2. I was told the factory or service department will not prewire the trailer, due to having to drill holes in the external fiberglass and then having to possibly repair the fiberglass. The only option I was offered, was that they could add a solar port on the side of the trailer for a suitcase solar panel if I was not getting any other solar package.
  3. Yes and I think reasonably priced.
  4. Agreed, that’s why we went with lithium/solar, it was either you get the solar package or no prewiring!
  5. Yup that’s what I was told from my my rep (Josh) at Oliver last year September…..his words “we stopped prewiring for solar panels around a year or so ago”!
  6. This is the stamped key lock on my battery/basement door, with “stamped key” same as what John E Davies shows in his OP. Are you saying you have the lock with the “cut” key lock per my previous post? If you look carefully you’ll see the different key holes for the 2 locks
  7. Was it this lock with the cut key lock or the stamped key lock from Oliver?
  8. Yup that was also our plan, I was going to install lithium and solar panels until I found out they stopped prewiring for solar panels in 2021. Didn’t want to go through the hassle of snaking wires through the inside of the hulls so we went with the lithium package.
  9. Same setup we used on our AS without issues. The Centramatics were installed by an AS dealership here in Ontario (CanAm).
  10. Bill, true, but I guess we can make the same argument about Oliver, many of us on this forum have upgraded/made mods to our Olivers (i.e. John E Davies), why hasn't Oliver incorporated some of those awesome/super fantastic upgrades/mods into the Oliver, I don't know! Yes I know they have caught up with some things like lithium, MPPT solar charge controller, compressor fridge/freezer (maybe not to the liking of everybody), composting toilet (also debatable pending application) etc. Well, heck I'm not following the racing scene but I would think multi million dollar race cars will have all rotating components just perfectly balanced, not the case with wheels, hubs, brake drums etc, on trailers, trucks, most cars. Anyway, all good points and I appreciate all the feedback! 🙂
  11. They have also been around in the transport truck community for years with very good results. They are also very popular in the Airstream community, many/most people reported fewer popped rivets after installing the centramatics due to the smoother ride. But hey, I guess that's why there's dark and milk chocolate, I prefer dark and maybe you milk! 🙂
  12. Yes, almost like a spacer between the wheel and the hub. I was running Michelin LT tires
  13. I'm very curious if anyone has used Centramatic wheel balancing rings on an Oliver and if they like/recommend them? I have used them on my previous trailer and they definitely made a huge difference, the tires showed virtually no tread wear when I sold the trailer. I started a new post about it here
  14. There are no Threads I could find on the Oliver forum dedicated to “Centramatics” from my search. Out of balance wheels will, or can, beat your trailer to death. Balancing your tires and wheels helps, but your trailer brake drums are not balanced, therefore your running gear is still out of balance. Centramatics takes care of this. Centramatics use centrifugal force and free moving weights (durametal and synthetic fluid) sealed in the balancer to automatically distribute weight to exactly where needed, placing the assembly in equilibrium or perfect balance. Here are a couple videos I've only seen these referenced in the Airsteam forum so I'm very curious if anyone has used them on an Oliver. I have used them on my previous trailer and I believe they made a huge difference, the tires showed virtually no tread wear when I sold the trailer. Thoughts?
  15. Thanks, I made contact with that Facebook group moderator, waiting for her response. Maybe you could move this string of posts about Facebook to another post/or create one so they don’t clutter this “Oliver closet upgrade” post? thanks again!
  16. I believe that’s the update involving longer screws and sealant to cover the holes above these screws on the top of the AC to eliminate water leaking/intrusion. See and
  17. How can I be blocked if I was never a member. All I can think is maybe I tried to sign up to the group when I first started looking at Oliver more than a year ago, but didn’t answer the questions! I know some of these private groups sometimes have two or three questions, I don’t always answer those questions. If that’s the case, how on earth can I explain/plead my case to the administrator of this Facebook group if I can’t even find it on Facebook?!
  18. Yup I am a Facebook member, and a member of 2 other private Oliver groups. Just weird that I can’t even find that group to join, this is what I see for that group
  19. Hmmm weird, did a group search and I can’t find that group in Facebook, only the for sale group, and Oliver Travel Trailers!
  20. Ah ok, I searched Oliver/“oliieowners” on the Facebook groups, found a few but obviously not this one, what’s the name of that Oliver Facebook group? Thanks!
  21. I like the Elfa baskets but the link doesn’t work…shows “content not available”, do you maybe have more info or another link? Thanks!
  22. Very nice, do you maybe have a link for the jack cover?
