  1. What type/brand caulk did they send you, could you send a pic? Thanks!
  2. Thanks John, so glad I found this thread, was hoping I could flip the blinds so the blackout is on the bottom! ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope this function will still be possible on the newer 2023 LEII!
  3. I had centramatics on my Airstream and was extremely pleased with them, tires were 6 years old and no uneven wear at all. They automatically find the heavy side of the wheel to neutralize the imbalance by perfectly adding weight (oil and beads) to the light side, even when the heavy side changes (which does throughout the life of the tire), centramatics change with it. Here's a good YouTube video of how they work.
  4. By original standard cushions, do you mean the original 4โ€ mattresses?
  5. I agree, finalizing our options tomorrow, we will only go with the cell booster, lithium platinum package, upgrade to the 2-5/16 buldog coupler and Anderson weight distribution hitch, Truma aquago on demand water heater and truma aventa AC with electric antifreeze it **hope it comes with the truma furnace**+! , no graphics, front/rear propane quick connects, porcelain toilet (Iโ€™ll install the Airhead composting toilet), twin beds, hypervent, frosted doors
  6. Let us know what Oliver said, I'm in the same boat, finalizing options this week and was thinking of passing on the Oliver Omni-directional TV antenna, 4G cell booster and Cradlepoint Wireless WAN with LTE (won't work for me because I'm in Canada and it requires a month-to-month data plan), instead I'm thinking of installing a pepwave with poynting antenna or Speed Demon 5G Mobile Internet Bundle from your link. I had an Airstream and figured out how to run the wires but not sure with the Oliver, does it come prewired without their options, if not like you I have no idea if it will be possible to do the aftermarket components wiring?
  7. I agree if the outside diameter is the same as the current 16โ€ wheels. I believe the 2023 model Olivers will be equipped with Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15. What size 16s do you have on your LE2 Ralph?
  8. Ralph, thank you for the wonderfully detailed delivery/inspection report. Just curious why they want to switch to 15" wheels, I prefer the 16s for more clearance? Ralph, would you mind sharing your checklist with us please? Thanks, Rich
  9. ..and that is why I'm leaning towards the Airhead, even the Nature's Head (that's installed by Oliver) has the fan on the side (outside) of toilet, at least the Separett's fan is inside the toilet. That said John installed a Nature's Head in his LEII and he reported no issues having it in his wet bathroom, even without a shower curtain. Here's a link to his install
  10. John sorry I'm confused, you say I can connect the NH flex vent hose to the existing ABS/black tank vent, why would I then terminate the black tank vent? Here's what I want to do, do you mean I have to cap/terminate it below the "Y" connection so it vents directly to the roof and not into the black tank? Oh and what do you mean by "a new overboard vent line for the black tank is added"?
  11. Thanks, how easy was it to run wire from the fuse box to the water pump switch, and isn't there an open spot on the far right of the DC fuse box where you could add a 2.5-3 amp fuse and run the wire from there, I believe that's where Oliver run the wire from when they do the install right? Very good points John. Would it be possible to connect the toilet vent to the black tank vent with a "wye/y" type of connector? Also, I was thinking of replacing the black tank vent on the roof with a solar powered vent for additional venting, would that work?
  12. Oh I haven't decided yet, I know It's a matter of personal preference, but hereโ€™s why Iโ€™m leaning towards the Airhead.. Diversion system allows emptying of liquids without opening the solids tank More comfortable toilet seat Stronger fan In-line screen on ventilation hose Can specify fan housing angle More gaskets around lid to prevent smell Handles/lid on solids tank (no lid I think on the NH?) Airhead crank handle vs NH drill press style handle
  13. We are also looking to switch to a "composting" toilet, haven't really decided between the NH, Airhead and Separett (Villa and Tiny), but leaning towards the Airhead. Must say I'm surprised with your experience with the Villa, in particular your bad experience with the the urine collecting basin. Now I have never in person seen/touched any one of these so called "composting" toilets, but from what I've seen (I could be wrong!) the Separett Villa and Tiny actually have larger/deeper urine collecting basins vs the NH and airhead, did you maybe forget to insert that separate piece between the liquid and solid section, it creates a ridge between the two? Also, I know with the first batch/release of Separett toilets the paddles weren't functioning correctly, so there was a modification created to improve the functioning of the paddles/flaps based on feedback from customers. Anyway, we are still on the fence re which one we will go with, but for all the ladies out there, here's a pretty good review of the Separett Villa from a female user.
  14. I read the whole thread, if I missed it is there anyone with instructions on how/where you hooked up the DC power and air vent? Thanks!
  15. That's good to hear, we are definitely leaning towards getting the composting toilet. We "think" we prefer the Air Head so we have to look at the pros and cons of just getting the Nature's head option from Oliver, or standard toilet and I then install the Air Head.
  16. Thanks all for the responses! Brian, the 26' has a great layout and tons of storage but unfortunately also a very high tongue weight, I suspect that might be the reason why it was discontinued in 2020. From my CAT scale results...trailer weight = 6820lbs and tongue weight = 1040lbs (15.2% of trailer weight!). I believe I can convince my wife to go with the wet bath, but it will take a lot more convincing her that the small fridge will be ok when we go semi-full time! It is good though to hear some folks can go 1-2 weeks without having to restock the fridge!๐Ÿ™‚ Any comments on the Nature's Head composting toilet, I should probably start a new thread for it? Thanks again!
  17. Hi all, we currently have a 2016 Airstream 26U rear twin and our TV is a 2016 VW Touareg TDI, itโ€™s a great tow VH. However, we have only been camping around Ontario (Canada) and want to go semi-full-time when I retire in 2 1/2 years. The Touareg tows like a champ but we are at the upper limits for payload and hitch/tongue weight (1000lbs) with the Airstream. I see the tongue weight of the Legacy Elite II is listed at "approx." 490lbs. I have always loved the clean looks and quality of the Oliver and it was our number 1 pick when we bought the Airstream, however what pushed us towards the Airstream was the dry bath and large fridge. So now that we are revisiting options to downsize from the Airstream the Oliver is again on our radar, our only concern still is the small fridge (when we full time) and wet bath! Any suggestions from full time couples on how you make it work with the small fridge, is it possible to install a larger fridge? Also very important, If anyone has actually weighed their Legacy Elite II twin beds, please share, Iโ€™d love to know what are real world numbers are? Thanks! Richard
