  1. Need an opportunity to waste a little time? https://rvlifestyle.com/phrases-only-rvers-understand/
  2. Interesting hitches…
  3. John, I just stumbled on this thread. Your adventure trailer looks well made, could you share the brand/builder?
  4. Dog stirring up dust or dander?
  5. Well sugarfoot! I guess I’ve had black water tanks so long, I didn’t begin to think of just using a hose…
  6. I am so thankful I live in a state that has one of those large swaths of red (public) lands. I believe it was Edward Abbey who wrote “I’d rather starve in the west, than fatten and flourish in the Siberian east”. I’m not sure about the starve part, but I certainly appreciate the elbow room. John, thanks for sharing.
  7. Let’s not hear complaints, after all… it’s Lippert, and it’s on “sale”. 😳
  8. That is what I replaced “old leaky” with.
  9. Another vote for Garmin InReach. In addition to being able to send a SOS to the InReach response center in an emergency, the two way communication path works well to let others know where you are, and what your status is. Your contacts can also reach out to you if there is an urgent matter at their end. You can send and receive messages via SMS email, cell phones, and other InReach devices. There are canned messages, as well as the ability to send your own text. When paired with a Bluetooth device, it’s easier to use. We have the older InReach Explorer+, our subscription is $12/month.
  10. An interesting article on methods to keep black tanks clean.
  11. I’m a carnivore, well more like an omnivore, but I can’t imagine wanting to share my Ollie with a freezer of those proportions. Have you considered something like an Engel or National Luna that resides in the tow vehicle?
  12. Got one. The Bride (5’4”) loves it, I bump my head (6’1”). It will be great for the outside shower.
  13. We mostly use the Lagun for additional counter space or games, and it doesn’t get used a lot. I may buy a second mount, and use it in my All Terrain (ATC) pop up truck camper shell model.
  14. Doug, we have two segments that create a king size bed. They’re in storage now, but I could drag them out and take photos if you need.
  15. Art, very nice! 😊 Our previous owner did something similar with two pieces of ply to fill the gap. Their wirehaired griffon slept under it, and they had a king size bed. We haven’t used that feature yet, but another benefit is with the cushions stacked next to the galley counter, and one of the ply segments on top, it makes a great extension to the counter top. Our Lagun table attaches mid way down the street side bunk (we have basement access), and stores out of the way in the closet.
  16. I really like your trailer’s name. So fitting for the curiosity of us Oliver folks.
  17. A superb cover of Kate Wolf’s “Green Eyes”.
  18. Here’s a recent example of why you want to have a working CO/propane detector. Exploding Northern Lite In addition to working common sense.
  19. Art, it appears you still have a bit of aluminitus left over from the Airstream days. I like it.
  20. Welcome Dennis & Melissa! I’m another advocate for solar, it’s so much nicer than listening to a generator one or two times per day. Your camping neighbors will appreciate it as well. Sun is the enemy of every RV, and UV rays degrade sealant and components, and is hard on gel coat. If possible, find a covered storage site to protect your investment.
  21. It’s one of those problems created by failing to RTM. Similar in nature to an issue those of us with an IT background refer to as “Loose nut at keyboard.”
  22. Bingo! I assumed the bathroom sink drained into the gray tank. Thank you!
  23. Am I doing something wrong? Several times now, we have found water in the shower pan, the latest was today as I was winterizing. The pan was dry prior to starting winterization and the freshwater tank was empty, but maybe 3 cups in it following running the pump to push RV antifreeze through the lines. We have the electric drain valve, and it was (to the best of my knowledge) closed. Cycling the valve, I can hear it actuate, and I assume closed is actually closed, unless there is something clogging the valve. Both the previous owner and ourselves have rather hairy Wirehair pointing dogs, could that be the issue? Could it be vibrating open on the road? Should I cycle the valve prior to using either of the sinks? Inquiring minds need to know…
  24. What is Facebook?😇
