Got one. The Bride (5’4”) loves it, I bump my head (6’1”). It will be great for the outside shower.

Using a Foy support for a Foy (Overland) Laguna Table
Wandering Sagebrush replied to Doug S's topic in Ollie Modifications
We mostly use the Lagun for additional counter space or games, and it doesn’t get used a lot. I may buy a second mount, and use it in my All Terrain (ATC) pop up truck camper shell model. -
Using a Foy support for a Foy (Overland) Laguna Table

Doug, we have two segments that create a king size bed. They’re in storage now, but I could drag them out and take photos if you need. -
Using a Foy support for a Foy (Overland) Laguna Table
Wandering Sagebrush replied to Doug S's topic in Ollie Modifications
Art, very nice! 😊 Our previous owner did something similar with two pieces of ply to fill the gap. Their wirehaired griffon slept under it, and they had a king size bed. We haven’t used that feature yet, but another benefit is with the cushions stacked next to the galley counter, and one of the ply segments on top, it makes a great extension to the counter top. Our Lagun table attaches mid way down the street side bunk (we have basement access), and stores out of the way in the closet. -
I really like your trailer’s name. So fitting for the curiosity of us Oliver folks.

Art, it appears you still have a bit of aluminitus left over from the Airstream days. I like it. -
Welcome Dennis & Melissa! I’m another advocate for solar, it’s so much nicer than listening to a generator one or two times per day. Your camping neighbors will appreciate it as well. Sun is the enemy of every RV, and UV rays degrade sealant and components, and is hard on gel coat. If possible, find a covered storage site to protect your investment.

Water in Shower Pan

It’s one of those problems created by failing to RTM. Similar in nature to an issue those of us with an IT background refer to as “Loose nut at keyboard.” -
Water in Shower Pan
Wandering Sagebrush replied to Wandering Sagebrush's topic in General Discussion
Bingo! I assumed the bathroom sink drained into the gray tank. Thank you! -
Am I doing something wrong? Several times now, we have found water in the shower pan, the latest was today as I was winterizing. The pan was dry prior to starting winterization and the freshwater tank was empty, but maybe 3 cups in it following running the pump to push RV antifreeze through the lines. We have the electric drain valve, and it was (to the best of my knowledge) closed. Cycling the valve, I can hear it actuate, and I assume closed is actually closed, unless there is something clogging the valve. Both the previous owner and ourselves have rather hairy Wirehair pointing dogs, could that be the issue? Could it be vibrating open on the road? Should I cycle the valve prior to using either of the sinks? Inquiring minds need to know…

I dumped the gray water tank this morning, and got a bit of a surprise. The dump hose had a crack in it, about a foot from the outlet connection. Waste water leaked out on the ground. I am so thankful that we have a composting toilet, and that it wasn’t a black water dump. In several decades of RV camping, I’ve never had this happen, but it serves as a good reminder that things break or wear out, and it might be a good preventive idea to replace them occasionally.

First Winterization

A quick question about winterizing… How much RV antifreeze is needed? My guess is less than two gallons, but don’t want to make two trips into town. We have a composting toilet and Truma, so I’m thinking just the lines, bathroom and external shower faucets, kitchen faucet, a bit in the gray water tank and P traps.

Roadside assistance
Wandering Sagebrush replied to Englewoodfl's topic in How to Join and Use Oliver Travel Trailer Forums
We use the Good Sam RA program, but I think the Family Motor Coach Association may be even better. 👇 FMCA now accepts all kinds of RVs. Several years back, we had our CDory at Lake Powell with the CBrats group, and one of the boaters had a serious medical issue. I had to go to the main channel to get a signal to call NPS. By the time I got back into Oak Canyon, a medivac helicopter was there, and airlifted him to a larger city in Arizona. FMCA covered the medivac flight, his wife’s transportation from Page, AZ to the hospital, and returning his motor home and boat to San Diego. He had CO poisoning and sepsis, and was lucky to have survived. -

Nightstand USB Access Question

Just got back from a trip to Steens Mtn, where I noticed the curb side USB was loose from the side of the nightstand. I am afraid of the possibility of there being a metal nut that might short the wiring and cause a fire. I haven’t looked to see if the two ports are in a front panel that can be unscrewed, but before I start tearing things apart, are there any words of wisdom about how to access the back of the USB port. The Steens were stunning as usual, with the first dusting of snow at the top. From the Alvord Desert side.

I once heard a person talk about the music with a name that sounds like “wrap”, but is actually spelled with a silent “C”.

Curb light deflector shields
Wandering Sagebrush replied to Ollie-Haus's topic in Ollie Modifications
John, on our second night in the Ollie, at about 3 AM, the dogs alerted on something. I turned on the the curb side porch lights to see if we had an animal in camp, but saw a “two legged” critter leaving the area. That extra bright light welcome serves multiple purposes. -

I haven’t used the Meguiar’s, but wholeheartedly agree with your choice of Woody. Just used it yesterday.
