Nick and Linda Stratigakis
We left for a long trip May 14 and just returned. Upon our return We found in our mail a safety recall from Oliver for the towing coupler naming specifically our vehicle number. I have researched the forums and I have not seen any comments concerning this matter. Am I the only one receiving this notice or am I looking at the wrong place. rich.dev
Check this post, it is pretty much what prompted the recall. BTW, I find google search better than this forum, this is how I search google....site:olivertraveltrailers.com forum then whatever your searching, ie...."site:olivertraveltrailers.com forum coupler"....in this case I searched coupler... 2 2023 Elite II, Hull# 1386, Lithium Platinum Package (640AH, 400W Roof Solar, 3000W Xantrex Inverter), added 400W Renogy Solar suitcase with Victron MPPT 100/30 CC, Truma water heater & AC TV: 2024 Silverado 2500HD 6.6L 10-Speed Allison
Jim and Chris Neuman
We received the same notice for our hull 770. Checked the rating of the hitch as instructed in the notice - stamped 7000. We are good to go. I appreciate Oliver giving potentially affected folks a heads up.
Moderators Mike and Carol Posted July 8 Moderators Share Posted July 8 (edited) I think most of us got the recall notice. Just need to look at the top of your hitch and make sure it says 7000 lbs, not 5000. Here’s what mine looks like, the red thing is a lock. We also got the recall notice for our 2022 LE II Hull No. 1291, even though we bought the factory upgrade to the 2-5/16" Bulldog coupler. As you would expect, our coupler reads "12500 lbs." Oliver is just being overinclusive, to be safe. 2 Hull #1291 Central Idaho 2022 Elite II Tow Vehicle: 2019 Tundra Double Cab 4x4, 5.7L with tow package

I wrote to Oliver Service just to let them know that it doesn't apply to my Oliver, as I also have the 2-5/16" 12,500# Bulldog. I appreciate OTT for sending the notice. 1 Oliver Elite II Twin (delivered 3/28/2022) Tow Vehicle: Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel

Chris went to Depot with a printout of the stain I wanted. She came home with something the Orange-Aproned HD associate substituted, some acrylic cr@p. Took another trip to the Depot to get “oil-penetrating” stain. There are soooo many hyped bad products marketed today. I have a saying, “if they spend $$$to create a commercial to sell their product, buy something else!” 1 1 Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
