  1. In talking with Jason yesterday, he told me that the company that makes the "porch" lights is re-designing the gaskets. As soon as the re-design is done they will ship some to Oliver. Hopefully all of this will take place prior to the Oliver Rally in May. Bill

  2. Hi Bill, Sorry for the delay. Have been traveling on business last couple of days. As to your comment about getting out to CO, there are numerous places both State Parks and just plain old recreational areas. In our experience, we love visiting repeatedly the following: Turquoise Lake Recreational Area - outside Leadville, CO - side note: Leadville is the highest (elevation) incorporated city in the US Steamboat Lake State Park - scenery awesome! Lottis campground on the famous Taylor River or any other campgrounds at Taylor Campgrounds near Crested Butte - scenery will blow you away Carter Lake I could go on. If you want RV parks near towns i.e. gambling meccas, great KOA in Central City. Now, gambling here is not like a big city. Talking about a small mountain town with great mountain views at the KOA because of elevation. Hope this helps you and if you plan a trip out this way, lets talk and maybe meet up. I'm retiring in March 31st. and go the Hohenwald to get our Ollie on April 17th. The anticipation is overwhelming sometimes.

  4. I'm posting this on behalf of Hidalga. She's having problems posting from her computer. Congrats, Hidalga! Sherry Greg Gerber, editor and founder of RV Daily Report, has the Eggshells in The Outer Banks Rally Coordinator, Jeannine, as this week’s podcast guest. 5. I now use EcoSave exclusively. The small bottle of scented usually last me all season. I put about a capful of it, long with about a cupful or so of water at the start of a trip. It "splash blends" as we go down the road. Kind of lubes the bottom of the tank and wakes up the microbes. No formaldehyde, and would never put bleach in...I do carry a bottle of the dry, just in case I run out of the other. But I am lazy, and just splash the 'about right' amount in when needed.

  6. This is the ladder we bought in 2013 to carry in the new Outlaw Oliver. It was not the cheapest nor the lightest nor the tallest but at 10 1/2 feet it is sufficient for me to use for anything on the roof that might need to be done on the road. At home I use a much more sturdy stepladder. When washing the trailer we actually stand on top of scaffolding that we can roll around while using. We store it against the bathroom wall inside the closet and it has ridden some 25,000 miles without incident. It has served all of our needs (though they have been few) for the past 2 1/2 years.

  7. We are currently camped at Amistad National Recreational Area on the Texas/Mexican border. Four bucks night, not too shabby. We are still on our way to Quartzsite, Arizona. We will leave this area tomorrow headed West. We are still undecided on whether to go through Big Bend National Park. We were there this time last year so it's not like we have not ever seen it.

  8. So many nice places to check out on CO... spent a few weeks last summer camping, hiking and fishing in the Flat Tops Wilderness... spectacular. Several nice campgrounds in the area.

  9. In the year that Twist has been in existence and over the approximately 7,000 miles traveled, I have not seen evidence of any leak of any sort any where. During the summer months above 8,000 feet with morning temps at or below freezing, there was some condensation on the windows - nothing on the walls ( I always leave the bathroom vent open). This condensation was not severe and was not frozen nor was it enough to even drip on the windows. Hope this helps. Bill
