  1. Jason and his team should be congratulated on the new web site. The colors are pleasing, and the photos on the main page are really great, especially Phil Andrews’ stunner of the Ollie next to a campfire with a kayak on the lake! They did a great job with the drop down menus, really increasing functionality for a potential buyer exploring the web site for the first time And, for us Forum users I see that they have just added Recent Topics from the Forums drop down menu. Thanks! I have two suggestions to improve the site. As a current owner who mostly uses the Forums, I accept the fact that the web site’s primary purpose is marketing to new potential owners. Two years ago when I was thinking about buying an Ollie, Wincrasher’s blog and video were very helpful to me. The fact that these were made by a current owner (I know, he subsequently sold the trailer), was very influential, compared to a video made by the manufacturer. There are now a bunch of other videos and blog posts, all made by owners. My suggestion is that the Why Oliver drop down menu include one more menu item, maybe called Owner Generated Content. (This is not the smoothest name, and I hope someone will come up with a better one.) This would lead to a web page that would link to Owner Generated Content, including videos by Buzzy, G&J Roaming and Rolling, Mountainborn, Reed Lukens and Wincrasher. Other videos? It should also link to the blog posts by Wincrasher and SuperSizeLife. There are probably other blog posts. Are there any legal / permissions issues here? Second, I would like to suggest the web page provide links to Oliver Owners’ Blogs. My idea is to have another item under the Forums drop down menu called Oliver Owners’ Blogs. (Better name anyone?) I have stumbled across the blogs of Mendofrank, Mike and Gerri, and SuperSizeLife and I have enjoyed them. I am pretty certain there are other blogs out there by Oliver owners, and I would like to read them. The Oliver Owners’ Blogs page could simply have a short description of each blog along with links. Again, are there legal / permissions issues here? The Oliver Forums have been a great community for sharing useful information, and I think these blogs would enhance that community.

  2. Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, since I brought this up a few years ago. I would like to see a option where you could add your city and or state under your name. Often times based on a persons post, it's nice to know where they are from, it may put their post in prospective. Most forums have this option.

  3. Dear Happy Campers, We just joined this site a few days ago and want to introduce ourselves. After working more than thirty years in Yellowstone National Park, we retired mid last year and settled into our home in Bozeman, MT. We are happy to report that, like many of you, we caught the "Ollie bug." We'd like to give a shout-out to Rob O. and his wife for providing an extremely interesting, informative, and enjoyable tour of their Ollie early last summer. Ever since then, we've been dreaming about the day when we'll finally have one of our own---and it's now not that far away. We are very happy to report that we'll be visiting Hohenwald and picking up our new LE II in late March!! We'd also like to thank the many contributors to this site who have provided insightful thoughts on all things "Ollie" and on R-V'ing in general. We're essentially newbies to this world, and we've learned a tremendous amount from the many posts, and feel better prepared to hit our new adventures "head-on!" Finally, a special thanks to Anita J. at Oliver for patiently answering all our questions over the past year as we mulled over seemingly thousands of decisions. We look forward to our new adventures and will be sure to give a wave if we see you out on the roads!!! Sincerely, Jim and Mary M. "Runnin' on MT"

  4. We have been using this one for several years in the camper. No compressor and very low amp draw. I carry it with us on long trips and also use the larger version in our garage. It works great in the camper. https://www.amazon.com/EcoSeb-DD122EA-SIMPLE-Desiccant-Dehumidifier-15-Pint/dp/B00KHJIC04/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1518632975&sr=1-1&keywords=ecoseb+desiccant+dehumidifier&dpID=41LrblthRUL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

  5. Hello everyone, We hope you enjoy the new website and the new look and feel of the forums as much as we enjoyed building it. The site may have a few layout bugs and if you find anything that does not look right, please feel free to send me a forums private message and we will get it fixed. We still have much to do and we thank you for your patience in waiting for the maintenance and updates to be completed! Thank you from all of us at Oliver Travel Trailers!

  6. I have a Winegard Sensar 3 with their Wingman - home version - cost about $40. Has 110 amp. I use a quick connect and put the amp in the line in the back cabinet. Remove it when I use cable. The antenna is supported with 2 pieces of tubing on Sat tripod. Replaced Jensen with 110 Samsung - (with sound bar) about same size and weight. Much better picture. Also carry Sirius table radio. Takes about 3 min to set up.

  8. Pete, Be sure to let us know how that 5.0 engine tows for you. I'm not yet sold on the Ecoboost for long term durability, but want to be sure the 5.0 has enough power-especially in the mountains. To the OP, my TV is a 1998 Ford E-250 Econoline with a 5.4 liter Ford Triton Engine/3.73 rear end. 10mpg towing. It has done well but it's 2nd gear and 35-40 mph over the mountain passes here out west. I really want to get a 1/2 ton crew cab with 4wd (gotten stuck once or twice with 2wd), but am having trouble making a decision. I like the Chevy/GMC trucks but they have only 26 gallon gas tanks (in the half ton)! Fords have a 36 gallon option, and depending where you travel, that is a good thing. Congrats on picking the finest Oliver trailer model! So easy to back up and you can slip it in to some tight spots. Don't go too small with your TV. The Olivers tow very well but you need to be sure you are within the payload and tow rating of your vehicle. Usually folks go over payload in smaller vehicles. Longer wheelbase is also more desirable for overall stability. Dave

  9. I have no problem using the jacks to lift one side, though I wouldn't lift the trailer up on all three. I think it needs one set of tires on the ground to provide lateral stability.
