If you really aren't going to use it much, have you thought about just getting one of the larger iPads to use? That's what we have and it's perfect, though I admit we've only used it once, at least as a TV. But it was perfect that once. I just got the new pro when it came out and the new keyboard really transformed it into a little laptop. Then when you want, pop it off and mount it where you want with a suction mount, and voila, it's a TV. Then use it in your truck for maps - it's really a good tool for travel.4 points

I don’t know why there is so much cable in this picture. The answer is “yes” you can either reduce the amount of cable hanging down by pulling it up into the overhead or securing it. After I moved our TV from the corner to the middle I cabled it so there was enough but not too much. Nothing hangs down below the TV.2 points

That bucket is actually a re-purposed kitty litter container and is probably more like 4 gallons. I found that the relatively square shape plus it having a lid worked better in that space. Bill p.s. for a size comparison - the blue object in the back is a set of links levelers. Also note the red ribbon on the ceiling of the first two pictures - this is the hatch that is covered by the nightstand since I have the twin bed model therefore making it inaccessible. In the king model this hatch is available to be used under the bench seating.2 points

When the TV is folded up it really isn’t very noticeable. I think some kind of curtain there would be more obvious, prompting the question “why is there an odd shaped curtain down there over the nightstand”. I’d wait until you get your trailer and see if you think it really needs to be hidden.1 point

Our 2017 LEII came with the television mounted in the street side rear corner. Later Oliver moved the television to the center location, maybe beginning in 2018. I moved our television to the center location and also placed the power, RCA inputs, HDMI and a USB power cable in the center also. I also measured from the bottom of attic to the television and it would take a 5" curtain to hide the television which would also cover about 1/3 of the screen when the screen is in the viewing position. So if you do decide to camouflage the television I believe the curtain needs to flip up or be removable. Maybe use Velcro to attach it as Sherry suggested. If you do decide on the television instead of an iPad or two as Overland suggested. I would suggest you try it as is, you might like it. I do know that we don’t even think about ours when it is in the up position and when it is in the down position, it’s usually dark outside and the shades are closed. Mossey1 point

My husband got used to it. Tablets and laptops use far less power than TVs. But, if you keep the tv, I'd probably just use velcro and a valance on a thin vinyl batten, rather than a tension rod. You'll be fighting with that tension rod forever.1 point

Susan, I thought of you yesterday when I ran across this generator on Costco . Com. It's an upgraded version of the ai2000 inverter generator my sister bought a few years ago, now has the Yamaha 79cc engine, 2300 watts, 1800 running. 52 db. Quite a few features for $499, free shipping. At 51 pounds, it's not a featherweight, but manageable, especially since it comes with wheels. Unlike the Yamaha 2400, this can be run in parallel with a twin, which would be useful for home use as emergency backup power. What it's missing: no RV plug, but it does have a nema 30 amp, and comes with an rv plug adaptor. Only one carry handle, so harder for two people to share the load if carrying between you. 2300 surge instead of 2400. No, it's not a true Yamaha product, but with Costco's return policy, I wouldn't be hesitant. Costco must have it made in the blue jacket for them, because I found the same generator in red and grey on several other sites, varying prices. The red jacket is on sale at samsclub for about $50 less, $17 shipping if you're not a plus member. Non member price the same as costco .com. I read through a bunch of reviews, and a number of people said it would not run their ac. None of them mentioned whether or not they had a soft start installed in their ac units. Sherry1 point

It looks like it's only a 125 Ah battery, so I doubt you'll be able to do a lot with it on it's own. I think mostly they're just putting the engine to good use as a giant generator.1 point

I like the lay flat seats inside. I always thought the idea of having a tent on the back of a crew cab so two people can sleep was redundant. I’ll be interested to know what the payloads on well equipped hybrids are, and what their range is when actually towing.1 point

We liked the fitted sheets from AB Lifestyles but thought that they were pretty skimpy on material for their top sheets, which weren't wide enough to stay in place - I called them bed ribbons because they were so skinny. So I'd recommend their fitted sheets, but get a standard twin flat sheet, which you can just tuck in a bit more on the back side.1 point

No hook ups, but wasn't a problem. They have a central bathhouse if needed. Had to add water to the tank and only found one faucet with a threaded hose connection, and that was at the dump station (it was marked potable water). Thankfully we had a little device called a "Bandit", which slides over a non threaded faucet and converts to hose thread. Next we need a 5 gallon collapsing bladder or jug. The one gallon took too many trips. Usually the place is full, but there were plenty of open sites during the week. Sandi marked the map for suitable sites...1 point
