  1. Here is a "Nice Tip" I got during the Oliver Rally in Alabama, which I think will make life a little easier. I don't remember the guy's name, but I think it is a great Idea, thanks! Basically, it involves replacing the original 5/8 inch Silver-Pin/Light Duty Spring Clip with the Red-Pin/Heavier Duty Spring Clip. IMHO, there are several benefits, 1. The Pin has a Handle (Red) which makes installing and removing the Pin much easier. I also elected to get a 1/4 inch Spring Clip which is much heavier than the Stock Clip, and therefore is harder to come out accidentally. 2. The 5/8 inch Pin has a Tapered Tip so it can aid in centering the Pin into the hole. 3. The Pin (p/n 269028) is available at Tractor Supply for only $4.99, the Spring Clip (p/n 268616) for $2.99. Finally, I put a light coat of Vaseline on the Pin and in the corresponding holes in the Hitch to make inserting the Pin a little easier, it won't stain your cloths either.

  2. Yes confirmed Honda EU2200i with Hutch Mountain Propane Conversion Kit runs the 13.5k BTU A/C We have the Honda genset set up with propane conversion quick disconnects directly into the Oliver low pressure auxiliary connections, super simple and very clean the Honda has never had gasoline in the tank The Hutch mountain kit comes with 3/8 quick disconnect, you will need to add the 1/4 x 3/8 adapter to plug into the Oliver auxiliary propane port. Hutch uses quality MB Sturgis fittings Great set up would highly recommend

  3. We have a Honda Eu 2200i, and I converted it myself to run on either gasoline or LP from our Ollie's on-board tanks. An excellent conversion kit was purchased from https://www.hutchmountain.com Hutch Mountain has wonderful YouTube, step-by-step videos explaining how to install the kit; easy-peasy! I also bought 2 iridium-tipped spark plugs, a fancy billet aluminum dipstick, and a neat aluminum screw-on device to aid in oil changes. I did call them to clarify an issue, and they were so very helpful over the phone. I recommend this company highly!

  4. This is pretty cool. Google does not allow GAIA to access their data, so you have to use some less than ideal sources. This is for the premium membership only, and I use an iPad Mini 4 with all IOS updates…. https://www.rokslide.com/forums/threads/gaia-gps-adding-google-earth-imagery.158189/ I was able to get the Google Earth layer to load and function, then it mysteriously vanished a couple of minutes later. The same with Google Terrain. However there are a several sources that do work correctly, Google Roads, Google Terrain Hybrid (won’t zoom in very far) and Google Satellite Hybrid. So it is worth trying this with your device to see what happens. I had to restart the app to see the new layers. Here is the default Mapbox satellite image: And the Google Satellite Hybrid one, which adds lables. There is a pretty obvious difference in sharpness. Here is a shot of some remote logging roads. Satellite default: And Google Satellite Hybrid: Interesting. I know which image I would rather use if I were trying to see small details, like a camp site…. John Davies Spokane WA

  5. Hi, We’re deep into research for our first travel trailer purchase and love all the helpful info shared in this group. We would like to see an Elite II with twins in the Southern CA area but there aren’t many owners that live out here. If there is anyone with an Elite II twin bed model that is traveling to/through LA or Orange County and is willing to have us visit please let us know. Thanks Jason for the help so far and suggestion for this post. Matt & Beth Frederick

  6. Suggestion - before doing the propane conversion on a new generator check the warranty details for the generator. Better to be aware than be surprised. Bill

  7. Yep - This "tractor Supply" pin mod has been around for a fair number of years now. I always recommend that if a new owner is about to pick up their new Oliver (and has the Andersen), one of the first things they should do is drive out of the delivery area and straight into the Hohenwald Tractor Supply sales lot to buy one of these. Thanks for bringing the mod up again though and it is also a great reminder for those still waiting for delivery that they really can learn something by taking a stroll through past history here on the Forum. 8. i have been using this same pin and spring clip with the tapered tip for almost six years; mine was also purchased from Tractor Supply. It really aids in hooking up and unhooking.

  9. Many have. With a soft start it will run a 13,500 BTU AC on gas or propane. Andrew

  10. Given that there is always change in models that does not necessarily happen all at one time, the only way to be certain of the answers to your questions would be to ask your sales rep at Oliver. Bill

  11. And some more. This is my house, under construction in late Fall 2016, with the standard GAIA Satellite view. And the Google Satellite Hybrid version, It is about three years more recent, but still nowhere near current. And yes I have two dogs, that is obvious from the back yard…. So the Google images get you more recent data. I’ll stop now. John Davies Spokane WA

  12. A couple of more, this is Kettle River CG, a Corps of Engineers facility, sort of, maybe….. You sure can’t see anything. There is a boat dock, at the bottom right. In theory. Google Satellite Hybrid shows lots of detail, even through fairly heavy tree cover. You can see foot trails easily, and small vegetation. John Davies Spokane WA

  13. One of those annoying little failures of RV hardware. One of the battery spring contacts in the RVLock keyless lock battery compartment broke off after just over 2 years. Red arrow in first photo points to where the missing spring should be. Out of warranty, and I tried contacting RVLock but received no reply. Fortunately I found replacement AA battery contacts on Amazon. An easy fix. The upper contact plate just slides out. Second photo shows the old contact plate on the left (missing the spring), and the new one from Amazon on the right. Although the Amazon sourced contact plate is a slightly different shape, the contact spacing is standard for AA batteries and the plate fit into the compartment perfectly. Lock working perfectly again.

  14. BillySevel I had the same problem trying to figure out how to reinstall the egress window screen. The screen is mounted outside the widow channel using four metal clips. The clips snap into the edge of the plastic channel. Just hold the screen in place and push until you hear it snap. It took me several frustrating minutes to figure it out.
