Over 5 years of owning this Oli and we have never used the Convection Oven function of the microwave. Planing on going to an egg rally and wanting to try one of my dishes that requires an oven. So I have a couple of questions. I was worried about high temps on the stuff inside the microwave. I was planning on using the grill rack with the little rubber ends on it to hold the food in the middle to get even dispersal of heat around food. Do I have to use the grill rack? (The only thing I have used the grill rack is to letting dishes cool down in our house, Never even stored it in the Oli.) Are the following safe at high oven temps? glass tray, turntable ring, turntable shaft, and little rubber feet on the grill rack? The manual talks about preheating the oven and then just putting the food in. If you leave the glass tray in convection mode and place cool cooking dishes on the hot glass tray could it break the glass tray? Sorry about obsessing about this I just want to be safe and successful. Thanks for your input.

We use our convection mode all the time. All parts are temp safe! The wire rack is used to hold items up off the glass turntable so hot air flows around the item being cooked. If you were put the item in the glass tray the bottom won’t be exposed to the oven heat…so Use the rack every time in convection cooking. (That would be like putting a pan on the bottom of a stove, not on the rack). The rubber feet are intended for high heat in the oven and are left on the rack. We bake things all the time in convection mode and they work well. For grilling we turn the rack so the tray is in the high position so what we broil is up high by the burner.

They also write Nev-R Adjust on the D52 axles with Nev-R Lube bearings. My label is similar except mine are SC = 50.00. The only hint of Nev-R Lube are on the bearing dust caps.

@johnwen I’m wondering if there are some misunderstandings of your original question. I understand your issue is the connectors are shaking loose. Yes, that’s happened to me on my 2021 model as well. My pipes are white, Sharkbite brand PEX-b, with the same plastic connectors. I assume yours are too. The problem isn’t the pipe type, it’s the connectors. I have replaced many of my plastic connectors and used PEX copper crimp rings, because I already had the tool to do home repairs. This solves the loose connection problem, but sometimes the plastic elbows break. I’ve only had one break while camping, and fortunately a Home Depot was within an hours drive. .There are also other types of clamps such as stainless PEX clamps, which require a different tool. Since my crimp ring tool is really big and heavy, and I cannot get it into some small spaces, I leave it at home and carry a half dozen various Sharkbite push-in quick connects and a few spare pieces of PEX-b pipe for campsite repairs. There are threads in this forum where some owners have replaced elbows with brass, some have replaced all with Sharkbite quick connects, available in plastic or brass. There are several ways to fix your loose connection problem, just depends on your preference, but you should not need to replace your pipes.. All of these fittings and pipes are readily available at stores like Ace, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Sometimes we are camping too far from such conveniences, which is why I carry the spares. I haven’t had any clamps pull loose yet, but that shouldn’t be difficult to repair on the road. It’s got me thinking about better ways to do it though.

@taylor.coyote, please post a picture when you have yours installed! Road tested, heavy monsoon rains on the highway, and puddles on the FS red dirt roads. Mud only in the wheel wells. Behind the flaps, no mud build-up. I've got some pressure washing to do next week!

@Boudicca908, the above is quoted from an earlier post of mine, page 1 of this thread. This was measured with Alcan Springs and the older 16" wheels which are 1/2" taller than the newer 15" wheels. I would say measure the height of your hull, to the top of your Dometic P2 A/C and add 3", or 4" to be safe.

Staying here at Glacial Lakes State Park as campground hosts for the month of July has had me researching how to deal with all of the various annoying flying critters here. Minnesota is called “the land of 10,000 lakes” and humorously “and 10 million mosquitoes”. (I think that’s a low estimate between you and me…) Last year, the park manager told me that this time of year, flies are the bigger nuisance. She was right. We put if a cheapo screen house to sit in (when it’s not 95F of course) but when you’re walking, the deer flies have you at their mercy. The familiar stinky traps don’t attract deer flies, just “filth flies” (house flies). Have one up anyway and have harvested many thousands of those pests. A disposable trap fills up in about three days(!) A little research told me that deer flies go after moving targets, and go for your head or the highest point of whatever critter they’re annoying. I also read that they’re attracted to the color blue. I found a few articles - typically on equestrian sites - that told how to “troll” for deer flies using blue Solo cups and a sticky goo like “Tangle trap”. I used to use the stuff in my garden, so I was familiar with it. Amazon conveniently has a vendor selling a kit with the blue Solo cups and the sticky stuff. Since I couldn’t find any in the local hardware stores or Walmart, I bought the kit. I tried it out by painting the outside of one of the blue cups with the goo and taping the cup - upside-down - to my side view mirror. I took a slow drive through the campground and was shocked at how many deer flies I caught in just 5 or 10 minutes. I discovered that the flies attack - and stick to - the BACK surface of the cup. (Hitting their target from behind) So the next time I tried trolling, I put a cup on each mirror and only put the goo on the back side. Well, as I’ve rambled quite enough, so I’ll show you the pics of my 2-ton deer fly trap and the results. Now - if I could just find a way to ruin 10,000 mosquitoes’ day - I’ll be a very happy camper!
