I don’t know if you have the payload capacity for some type of sliding truck bed or if you have thought about one. Several OTTO’s and utilize one to facilitate access to items in the bed. One of the most common uses is for a refrigerator. Mossey

I had the same problem early on and I don’t remember if someone on the forum provided some guidance or I noticed on my own. Try it, you might like it!😉 Mossey

I always try to edit a photo before posting, whether it’s an Android or Apple. I open it in whichever’s photo folder and use the built in editor and do something like "enhance" and then save it. It usually works for me. Mossey

I followed up on the information you provided me last September about the Maxxair Window/Maxx clones. I posted this last month about the results. And on a positive note, I received an email from eBay about 2 weeks ago about a new Maxxair Window/Maxx up for auction and purchased it for $100 with free shipping. I haven’t installed it yet, but I do have it in my pile of this to do. Mossey

I am sorry for the redundant questions on your new Tundra. I totally missed the report you linked to about your driving experience so far. Sounds like it is going well, congrats! Mossey

Maybe that chart is in the lab under a best case scenario. The suggested EPA MPG’s in the article also seem to be very optimistic. Mossey

rideandfly Thank you for your positive comments on your 22 Tundra. I believe you and mtkadan are the only 22 Tundra owners on the OTT forum. Can you tell us what the Load Carrying Capacity is for your new truck which I believe is a 2 wheel drive SR5? Mossey

I don’t know much about bearings, but I do know that I would buy the same bearings you have gotten 60k miles out of. At 60k miles, they have passed my quality test no matter who made them or where they came from. Just saying, Mossey

I am looking forward to seeing #50 at the rally as well as speaking to the folks from CGI Detailing. It will give me a chance to kick the tires, so to speak. Mossey

I agree that you got pretty good service out your stock batteries, much better than I did. But I blame myself for their short life span due to poor maintenance. Although only one of my four batteries tested as failing, I replaced them all. As far as removing four 68 lb. batteries being a PITA, I totally agree. I was actually thinking of removing the main positive and negative cables and using jumper cables to connect them to a single 12v battery, like the new one you just put into your truck. As far as the 12.7v reading goes, it would probably be more accurate if you checked the voltage again after a full charge and then allowing them to rest for about 6 hours. But I understand your position. Mossey

Would it make sense to try running the furnace on another battery, to verify your latest findings. Mossey

Yep, the newer Ollie’s have a "finished basement", which included the rear wall partition like your pictures of your Plano box. My 2017 LEII does not have the rear wall. Mossey

Power down the trail pigtail for cleaning and sealing?
mossemi replied to nrvale0's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
I see you started 2 different posts about the same time today. Did the fan problem exist before the pigtail troubleshooting began? Are they related? Mossey -
Recommended source for '19 bathroom and overhead fans?
mossemi replied to nrvale0's topic in Mechanical & Technical Tips
Both of those fans share the same power source, so I would verify that you have 12v at both fans. My 2017 has a breaker panel on the street side of the attic and it has a breaker for the fans. Just ask, if you need additional guidance. Mossey -
Are you using any type of propane leak fluid or just the sniffer and your nose? I test with a mix of dish soap and water and there are commercial products available. These options will allow you to pinpoint the leak, where as either of your sniffers will just get you in the neighborhood. Mossey

Did you verify the rear quick connect inside the rear bumper is closed and not leaking? If you don’t have a rear quick connect, there should be a plug in the the last fitting of the gas line running down the curb side of the trailer into the rear bumper area that is worth testing. Either of those items are very close to your the furnace. Mossey

Anderson Levelers Warranty Replacement Question
mossemi replied to Trainman's topic in General Discussion
I don’t believe that I said I broke a ramp 😁 and I’m not sure if Trainman did either, although I do believe he did. That’s why I ask the question. Mossey -
Anderson Levelers Warranty Replacement Question
mossemi replied to Trainman's topic in General Discussion
Please indulge my question as I often become confused when reading the original post and then the responses make me question my thoughts: Are you referring to this Andersen product? Because I think Steph and Dud B are referencing this product. Andersen has replaced 3 different products that I have broken, but I did have my receipts. Mossey -
Do you have the Micro-Air EasyStart on your air conditioner? Did you fix it or a service center? Mossey
-
Ok, it's silly question time! Have you verified where the leak is in the door seal? Is it possible that the leak is elsewhere and pooling by the door? Mossey

Do the newer Ollie’s equipped with the Xantrex Freedom XC inverter/chargers have a separate breaker for the battery charging circuit like the Ollie’s equipped with the Xantrex PROWatt inverters and the Progressive Dynamic's converter/charger? Or is the charging circuit controlled by software? Mossey

I do not have the factory lithium option in my 2017 LEII, it wasn’t available in 2017 and I bought my Ollie used. But I do have lithium batteries now, because of a lead acid battery failure which I blame on myself. And I like tinkering with my stuff. If I had a boat, motorcycle, classic car or any of the assorted toys that we can afford, it would be the same. I like tinkering and I can always find something I would change if it is something I am capable of tackling. I do not like to help people spend their money and I am not sure what that $9500 would buy anyway. I have never made any money on my choices in anything I use for recreational endeavor’s. My needs and wants are my own and I have to burden those choices my self. As you know, there are a lot of people that believe Oliver’s are over priced compared to a Casita, Scamp or any of the other travel trailers available, except maybe Airstreams. I would ask if this is your first RV, what type of camping you intend to do and where that camping will be. It may help other owners answer this question. Sorry I couldn’t be more help and I hope I haven’t added to the stress of your battery choices. And I really do like the Morton’s YouTube channel. They have great content are very transparent about their sponsors. Mossey

Thank you for the very nice write up on your antenna adventure! It should help others with troubleshooting their own antenna issues. And you are now the in house Magnadyne antenna SME. Mossey

2 5/16" Bulldog Hitch Available for Oliver Elite II
mossemi replied to Dale C's topic in Towing an Oliver
After reading Mr Truck's WDH preferences, I also wondered how he distinguished a light or heavy trailer. But that really doesn’t matter as long as I know the GVWR/TWR. My SUV has a 14400 GCWR and a 8100 lb. GVWR/TWR and it requires trailer brakes if the GVWR/TWR is more than 1000 lbs., a sway control device if the GVWR/TWR is over 2000 lbs. and a WDH if the GVWR/TWR is over 5000 lbs. My utility has a TWR of 3500 lbs. and no brake's, so I break rule #1 and #2 every time I use it. Ollie left the factory at a slim 5180 lbs. and a GVWR/TWR of 7000 lbs., so I can add 1820 lbs. of cargo to the trailer. And following the 80/20 rule, that's 80% for her and 20% for me. So I think the difference between a light and heavy trailer depends on your tow vehicle. And in my case, both of my trailers are heavy. Mossey
