I do like my Silver Oliver TT hat and decided to hold off and not wear it until we take delivery of Hull #634 in mid June.

Landrover, Are you satisfied with how well the fan functions and suction cup hold in place? (I just noticed currently unavailable on Amazon). Bummer. Thanks, Patriot

In anticipation of our mid June delivery day I am working on getting our Weber Q1200 configured so that we can use/check our propane quick connects on our Ollie. So here is my question for anyone using a Weber Q1200 . How did you remove and or modify the regulator to accept the quick connect? In the photo I took it appears Weber integrated the regulator into the propane adjustment knob which appears to leave no knob if one installs the quick connect adapter. Before I begin minor surgery, I thought I would ask? I did a forum search, but could not find this info. Mods...Please redirect to a link, and delete my post if there is an existing post for this question. Edit- I also need to make the same mod on our Outland Fire Bowl. Thank you, Patriot

Thanks for everyone’s feedback...we chose the 20’ Valterra Dominator, hopefully it will serve us well. There are a number of great choices out there. -Patriot

I have a few questions about upgrading the stinky slinky to a higher quality hose and clear end connector.(We want to keep our Oliver hose as a spare) We are looking for a high quality reliable hose that we can still store in the bumper including the clear end cap. We also want a hose that will attach to the black tank outlet without out any modifications. I have asked a few members in PMs but just thought I would ask the group. Mods respectively if there is a write up on this please delete my post and redirect me to the link. What is the general length of hose everyone is using that stores in the bumper 15’, 20’? Is a 45 degree clear end adaptor a better option than a 90 degree? What’s everyone using successfully? Thanks in advance for your patience with our questions. Thoughts and recommendations appreciated. -Patriot

Just put the deposit down on an Ollie Elite II
Patriot replied to RoyW's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome Roy and Mary. As you go about finalizing options on your Ollie you will find a wealth of information here which will help a lot. Oliver Travel Trailers staff has been great answering questions we have had throughout the ordering and our upcoming delivery process in mid June. We are also still attending Oliver University and learning as much as we can. We hope to meet you at the Fall Rally. -Patriot -
Should we sell our Leisure Travel and buy and Ollie?
Patriot replied to Moots's topic in Introduce Yourself
John Davies is spot on regarding Oliver’s welders. When we did our factory tour one thing I looked at were the aluminum welds...I saw “stacked nickels”. If anyone knows anything about welding “stacked nickels” is a very high complement of beautiful welds. So Thank you to the welders at Oliver for fine work. -David -
Based on a very solid recommendation from topgun2 we are purchasing a gently used CalMark from a former Ollie owner. As Overland said it’s likely your best choice. topgun2 will likely weigh in.

We are hopefully going to get approval from our HOA to park our Ollie behind our home. The covenants state that a trailer or RV must not be seen from the road. Our lot is unique and private (on a Ridge) so our Ollie won’t be seen from any roads in the development. We have had our attorney review the covenants in advance before we submit our request to the HOA, He sees no reason why we cannot park our Ollie in our back yard since it will be out of sight per covenant rules. -photo of the tentative Ollie parking area. It’s a 12X45’ stretch of crush and run base which starts at the edge of the grass out to our fire ring and is concealed from public road view. If approved we might have a 5-6” 12X35’ slab poured and add a 30 amp receptacle in. Naturally a little tree trimming is going to happen. This is a work in progress for now. edit- Cost for a few hours of grading the parking area and 23 tons of crush and run spread and leveled $900.00. Nothing fancy...but if we can make it happen, it will be nice parking it at our home.

Nan, I am not saying this is the absolute best TPMS sensor out there and in full disclosure we have not used it yet as we hope to take delivery of our Ollie mid June. I did a fair amount of research and decided on and ordered this one. Bill -Topgun2 wisely recommended ordering the two extra tire sensors one for the spare on the Ollie and an extra. You can order this with a (6) sensor pack. The monitor is not overly large and will fit conservatively on our TV dash. This one also has a color display. I also managed to catch a sale on it, I think I paid 370.00 shipped. Others may chime in with their choice. I hope this helps. -David Here is a link- https://www.mobilemusthave.com

Landrover, We dealt with love bugs and no see’ums when we lived in Kingsland, Georgia. We used a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water to help remove love bugs off the paint as soon as possible. They sure can make a mess. We called the no see’ums flying set of teeth with wings..brutal. -Patriot

Waterproof mattress covers for Ollie twin bed
Patriot replied to Patriot's topic in General Discussion
Bobfirst, Here is what we ordered for our 2020 Elite ll. It fully encloses the mattress and is water proof. You have to call AB and order this complete cover as it’s not listed on their website for the OLEll yet. Hope this helps. -Patriot -

Will the black weather stripping eventually bleed with time? Just a thought? -

No, I use 303 protectant and it protects clean vinyl and unfortunately does not clean dirty vinyl in my experience.
