When placing our order we asked our sales person about custom changes regarding electrical outlets. The information we were told last January was that Oliver was no longer allowing custom changes. You may want to check with Oliver Sales staff. -Patriot

My plan for now is to continue to carry our bicycles in the bed of our TV. Out of the weather and out of view and relatively secure. Not optimum but very doable. The reply above is all 1UP USA sent. Once we take delivery figuring out the bike rack is on my list of many things to do.

The reply I received from 1UP today - This setup would not be recommend as the expander will cut your tongue weight in half which would take the overall weight over the recommend maximum. Thanks, 1UP

We are new very soon to be Ollie owners. In learning from members on this forum and other Ollie owners locally this is a good product to add to your black and gray tanks to help with lubing the blade valves you mention. Other owners will hopefully chime in. I have a few bottles of this and plan to use it per manual directions. I am sure there are other products out there, but this was highly recommended to me by a few Ollie owners/friends it has decent reviews.

Less maintenance is a great thing. Decisions decisions 😄 many punt on the front decal for your reason mentioned. One thing we are leaving is the Oliver LEll on the sides. Without it...surely questions about make and model will be the flavor of the day. We chose the front logo...it’s not difficult to remove early on so I was told by Rodney Lomax if we choose not to remove it. I think we’ll just have a look first.

Yes, we ordered the pinstripe swooshes in met silver, simple and matches our TV. There are a gaggle of color choices, but the general swoosh design is the same whether solid or pinstripe. I also like the naked or no logo Ollie, no swooshes, for it’s clean look. I think the pinstripe swoosh will remove easier than the solid swoosh if we decide to remove it. I don’t think we can wait to long if we opt to remove it as it may shadow the gel coat...not sure. Many go with a personal graphic design decal of their choosing post delivery. There are a few cool personal graphics out there that we liked.

Mossey really important details/observation thanks. We take delivery of our Ollie on Tuesday, I will check at some point. I sent 1UP an email asking if the combination would be approved for use on a TT. And I will post up what they say when/if I hear back.
-
Yes, that’s what I was thinking. As long as 1upUSA fully endorses the adapter approval for use with a TT in writing, we may consider it.

This is good info, Thank you. edit- before ordering I will have to call and understand from 1upUSA if using the 1.25 hitch expander/extension on a Travel Trailer is considered completely safe with their 1up super dutY (2)bike rack if staying within 150# limit. The hitch expander changes the dynamics of the rack. For liability reasons USA 1up would have to state and fully back in writing both products are approved and tested for Travel Trailer use. Just risk adverse here. I will shoot them an email and ask at some point before ordering.

Good to hear. Now the only thing needed is a 2” receiver to accommodate the 1up bike rack. Here is a rack we may consider - https://www.1up-usa.com/product/2in-super-duty-double-bike-rack/

A little helpful on nitrogen tire refills - How to Find Nitrogen for Tire Inflation Locating a tire merchant that offers nitrogen, is as easy as going to the Get Nitrogen Institute and searching based upon zip code. Typically, a tire fill up will cost around $5 and some shops even offer free top offs and pressure checks if you opt for nitrogen when you buy new tires. It is best to shop around and call a few tire stores in your local area to obtain the best deal. It is worth noting that it is perfectly safe to add regular air to a tire that has been filled with nitrogen. This info was gleaned from this link. https://www.carsdirect.com/car-repair/using-nitrogen-for-tire-inflation-advantages--disadvantages edit- I tried typing our zip code in on the Get Nitrogen Institute search bar, and it did not work.

I ordered and just received this Via Air 400P RV compressor from of all places Target for $261.99 shipped Fedex. I have read a number of decent reviews on this unit. Hopefully it will serve our needs well. Picture shows yellow air hoses, but ours arrived with the newer black hoses. -Patriot

We picked up two of these commercial grade extension poles at Lowe’s to assist in draping the Calmark Cover over our Ollie when it comes time to store it. Our intention is start from the front using the poles to lift the cover with one person on each side of the Ollie walking back and slowly draping the cover as we go. I purchased a cheap pack of tennis balls at Wally World to protect the cover from the threaded ends of the extension poles. This is just an idea or lets say a work in progress. The poles extend up to 8’ and are very rigid. We will only need to extend the poles 3’ to clear the 9’7” top of the AC. So we’ll post up our thoughts on how this idea works when we give this a try at some point in the future.

Boils down “pun intended” 😄 to what your most comfortable with and naturally how you plan to use the hot water system in your Oliver. Many praise both systems and both surely have their own merits. We opted for the Truma system after much discussion, thought, research, and what we felt like would work best for us. We have a Rinnai system in our home and have been very pleased with the efficiency and performance. This probably influenced our decision some on choosing the Truma. Best of luck in your choice! -Patriot

Our Motorola T600’s arrived today and I installed the batteries and left them on charge for about 6 hrs. After indication on the radio LED signaling a full charge we did a few radio checks here at home and they are very crisp and clear. We plan to do a much further longer range test in the near future. The emergency weather channel was also very clear. For our needs which will mostly be when backing the Ollie up into a camp site, I am initially impressed and think they will serve us well. This set came with a nice stout case and multiple charging cords.

Added to my list! Thanks Foy!

We opted for the frosted only because we noticed that the black doors really show finger prints. The contents did not show through the black doors that we saw during our factory tour. Either way not something that be much trouble to swap out later on.
