@Mike Spies The search window is your friend here on the forum. 😊 There are lots of topics that have been discussed previously which you may find helpful. Here is a link from a previous older post on locking down an Oliver. I agree with @John Dorrer the proven lock is likely the best in the industry as far as securing your hitch. Fortunately there have not been many reports of stolen Olivers. 👍🏻

@Heather and Eric You can also use a hair dryer to help loosen the double sided tape to get the adhesive to warm up and release from the gelcoat. If you warm it up enough you may not need to use Goof Off. -

@wolfdds a very helpful post and glad Mike Sharpe was able to get you the link and info. Thank you for posting. It might be super helpful if the mods or the site administrator would create a “sticky reference” page on the forum for links such as this. It would be super helpful when traveling and may require fewer phone calls to Oliver Service. It would be much easier to find links than using the forum search function. How about it mods can you discuss the idea of a sticky reference page for links like this to be created? Forum members thoughts? Thanks!

@Mike Spies The Oliver Owners FB page is also a great source of info if you do social media. Often solutions to problems have already been addressed which you can easily find with the search function. The Mods have always been helpful and there is always a chance you might link up with another Oliver owner who lives near you. Onward!🇺🇸 -
It has not been my experience in 4 years of ownership. Annually or often after a really long trip, I go through and check all the fasteners I can find and snug them down as needed. I prefer medium strength blue locktite where applicable. We have always run 55 psi in our tires since the day we took delivery of XPLOR in June of 2020.

Agree. I choose to allow my external shore power portable EMS take the “sacrificial” ⚡️spike, surge or lighting strike ⚡️vs replacing my Oliver onboard EMS several thousand miles from home potentially interrupting a planned trip. No overthink needed here. 🤔😄 Onward!

Yes, the mini is really compact and easy to deploy. I suspect the price will come down on the mini as well at some point. I like the pause feature in the roaming service as well.👍🏻 -
As new as the mini is there are a few other protective case options out there and more to come. I just wanted something a fairly robust with a handle on it and the option to add the sea sucker suction cups for a possible roof mount. Still thinking this through..We’ll see how it works out.

@Zodd great report and thanks for weighing in! 👍🏻 We look forward to getting some seat time with the mini. We are headed west very soon and will also post up on our use of the mini. We usually don’t stream a lot so likely the 50GB will serve us well. The compact mini being as small as it is sure will be easy to deploy and stow as needed. I look forward to any further feedback as you use your mini. Nice TV by the way!

@MAX Burner Excellent taste! 🤩🇺🇸 Ha! I can say we are very happy with our 6.7 liter 1 ton Diesel Tremor. Long haul comfort, safety, up higher cab view, fuel mileage when towing, zero issues with cargo capacity or tongue weight. The diesel engine brake did a fine job all through out our trip to Colorado descending through many of the Rocky Mountain steep passes. No need to heat up our truck or trailer brakes as the diesel engine brake worked flawlessly. On a few of the passes we traveled on they had local law enforcement checking brake temperatures with infrared heat sensor tools on vehicles descending down the mountain. We were never brake check or flagged to pull over with our rig. Several cars and trucks were made to pull over until their brakes cooled. Most 1/2 ton trucks will tow and Oliver, I fall into the club of how well the truck with stop a fully loaded ready to camp Oliver. No white knuckles towing or slowing with our beast. It’s the right tool for the job in my experience. @George Alexa yes you need a truck imho and are wise to do your due diligence. Whether it is diesel or gas that is all according to your budget and what works for you with regard to payload and camping style. We started out towing our Oliver with a half ton truck and quickly learned that we could be pushing the legal limits with our payload capacity. Naturally this was a concern due to the legal implications if something were to happen operating an overloaded tow vehicle. We sold our 1/2 ton and bumped up to a 1 ton and never looked back. We like keeping our vehicles garaged and when we built our home I made sure it would accommodate a larger heavy duty truck like our Super Duty. Best of luck in your decision on a tow vehicle! A few of the reasons we think owning an EV is not for us: We have no interest in an EV. The idea of someday being mandated by the government that we may have to comply and are forced to buy an EV is just not what we believe is American Freedom. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Direct impact on the environment and health of workers mining lithium and other minerals. The draw on natural resources to mine lithium. The coal fired plants that power EVs is very real. Range anxiety due to the lack of charging infrastructure nationwide with no end in sight. Tremendous cost of installing this infrastructure on an ancient and completely vulnerable to attack power grid. (huge national security concern) Cost of installation of home charging ports for EVs. EV fires. Many fire departments are not equipped to deal with these fires and the hazardous fumes and what’s left over. Environmental impact. The cost of most EVs is completely out of reach for many American households. It’s been reported that insurance is much higher on EV’s mainly due to the extremely high cost of repairs if it can be repaired after an accident. Lack of qualified technicians at a body shop. Loss of mechanic jobs at existing dealerships. The huge cost of a replacement battery at some point in vehicle ownership. The accelerated depreciation of a used EV. Who wants yesterday’s EV tech? How Old Man Winter and extreme cold reduces the battery capacity. Many Canadians are already really unhappy with this and do not want EVs. EV’s are extremely heavy due to the battery weight and our roads pay the price. A road tax is being proposed in many states for EV owners since they don’t pay a fuel tax. Surely, at some point the government will automatically digitally tax EV owners on the miles driven and implement speed controls with electronic speed limiter in the name of safety. Some companies already implement digital control their on tractor trailers. Patriot🇺🇸

I picked up this hard case from HF awhile back and decided it was now going to be storage for the Mini while we are wheels up in the bed of the beast. If nothing else it keeps it all organized.

My Stiker protective case arrived this morning and I have to say I am impressed with the high quality, fit and finish. Striker crafts a nice product. I think this will serve us well. Decisions on were to mount and deploy the mini will likely depend on our base camp location. I really like how compact this dish is. I am considering 4 of the Seasucker marine grade mounts. Lots of creative ideas for transportation and storage of the SL mini. This tuber did a nice job with his emergency back up kit. I already have a hard case for our mini and will likely also buy the Anker power bank for remote use when needed.

Our SL mini arrived today. Very impressed with the ease of a 10 minute set up including PW and latest updates. I think this will do the trick for us as far as comm goes. It even fits down in my Osprey Day Lite pack. Waiting on the Stiker protective case which is scheduled for delivery this sat. I will post up more user info once we get back on the road and put this tech to use. SpaceX we have a Starlink lift off!! 😊 Front yard initial set up. The mini fits easily in my Osprey Daylite plus pack.

@R-Villa We had to replace our Furrion dvd/radio a few years ago under warranty. It just quit working. Several other owners have had similar issues with their Furrion dvd/radios. I called Oliver and they sent a new unit as I was still under warranty. Oliver sent a paid return label for the non working dvd/radio which I shipped back. Have you removed the dvd/radio from the wall to check that all wiring is attached to the back of the radio?. Also try disconnecting the radio from its power source to attempt a hard “reset” it. Sometimes this works.
