Occasionally if we hit a really hard interstate bridge expansion joint or a rough area in the road our Oliver TV will dislodge from its mounting system and drop down to the viewing position. Here is a quick no drill hack I came up to secure the TV to the ceiling mount. I keep several of these Velcro straps handy in my go to “possible kit bag”. 😎 Pro tip - These also work great for keeping hoses and extension cords tightly wrapped when stowing your gear. For those that rarely use your TV you can also consider using a heavy duty zip tie to keep it secured. Cheers and Safe Travels! Pretty much…as little as I use them for the price they hold up well.

Beautiful craftsmanship Foy!

I have a couple of these knee savers. One in the Oliver, one in the shop and one for all other outside landscape jobs. On long trips I always have one handy in the bed of our TV. With pretty solid reviews, they have held up really well and my knees stay happy! 😊

That’s funny…never heard it called that before. 😂

Same here Bill, Possibly Lippert had a bad run at some point? It sure is a costly replacement for something that should last a long time. 😒

@Heather and Eric Unfortunately we no longer have a classified section on the forum for items such as these. Maybe someone will send you a PM and help you out. I think I saw your post on the Oliver FB page as well good idea. The newer Calmark covers are nice and are a much lighter weight which make them a lot easier manage to than the older heavier covers. Just something to consider if you find a seller. We like our newer lighter weight Calmark. It sure makes a huge difference when uncovering a nice, clean Oliver when you’re getting ready to roll! If I learn of anyone selling a cover I will forward your interest to them. Happy Hunting! Patriot🇺🇸

Not I Mike, but a nice looking rig for sure. 👍🏻

Have you recently winterized? Is your LP off?

Friction Hinges - Lippert - Another quick mod.
Patriot replied to Ty J's topic in Ollie Modifications
After a little bit more online research it appears that Lippert lack of quality strikes yet again. There are quite a few SOB RV’s that have had the same issue with the Lippert interior door laminate cracking. Planned obsolescence? 🤔😒 -

Friction Hinges - Lippert - Another quick mod.

I look forward to your report. My hopes are the friction hinge is not the cause. I have had this mod on the back burner for awhile. -
Weigh Safe 180 Aluminum hitch with 3” shank, 10” drop
Patriot replied to Patriot's topic in Towing an Oliver
Thank you. I had the same question when I called HC before placing my order. I spoke to a fella named Gabe. I asked him about proper fitment? He said it is designed to put the downward pressure on the shank vs the clamp lifting the down pressure/tongue weight up. https://www.hitchclamp.com/pages/videos -
GJ, I can chime in on this. When I replaced the window in my door with a tinted Zarcor window and Zarcor blind I saw a foam core inside. Patriot

My 3” hitch clamp arrived today. I decided to cancel my order with Amazon and order directly from Hitch Clamp for a much quicker delivery. Very impressed with the fit and finish of this product. Zero play or movement with this robust clamp. They also gave me a Veterans discount. 🇺🇸👍🏻 https://www.hitchclamp.com/collections/3-clamps -
I hang my cable in the Sea Biscuit “Moose Rack”. It keeps it at the right height while under way. So far so good.

Miles per gallon with a diesel?
Patriot replied to Dave and Kimberly's topic in Welcome To The Oliver Travel Trailer Forums
We really like our “Open Roads” card for all the reasons you mentioned and more. On our last 48 day trip out west we occasionally saved 65-70 cents per gallon on diesel. @QuestionMark you are totally on point about being able to safely fill up in the larger diesel commercial truck lanes, we are really spoiled. One of the other nice benefits of the O/R app is forecasting along your planned route and knowing where you can use it. Huge fans here of Open Roads! 👍🏻 🇺🇸🇺🇸 @Dave and Kimberly should you purchase a diesel beast here is the link to Open Roads. https://myopenroads.com/ -
@Tideline77 Shortly after taking delivery of our 2020 LE2 we had a local shop install 10 mil XPEL PPF (paint protection film) on both front corners of our Oliver. I also had the LP storage area, and a strip run down under the quarter panels. It’s not a matter of if you will get stone chips on your pretty gel coat, from road rash and missiles, but when. With well over 25k on our Oliver I can say it was really worth the install, and has really protected the gel coat especially the front corners. It’s not cheap, but neither is repairing chipped gelcoat and getting it to match. https://www.xpel.com/

Patriot replied to Rich and Jane Walker's topic in Introduce Yourself
Welcome @Richard Walker it’s always good to take a deep dive into Oliver University and your new owners manual. Oliver has also gone to great lengths to provide amazing owner support with this invaluable information. The videos Oliver has produced are extremely helpful. Naturally ask questions here on the forum we are more than willing to help. Hope to meet you at the 2025 Oliver Rally! Safe Travels! Patriot🇺🇸 -
@Catherine The only time we left our Truma on all night was on our 48 day recent western trip. The temps while camped for a week inside Yellowstone NP dropped below freezing at for 3 nights. As a result it will run periodically and yes you will hear a slight 10 second Truma hum. It sure is nice having on demand hot water within about 8-10 seconds. Typically we just turn it off after use to conserve a little propano! On a side note, you will really like how easy it is to clean/decalcify and winterize your Truma. Welcome to the forum! Patriot 🇺🇸
