  1. I would give Oliver Service a call and provide details on your frig. They can surely provide you with the info for a part # or even diagnosis your issue. It might help you cut to the chase.
  2. Could be. I sure would like to see SpaceEX produce a phone with direct connect to satellites. How cool would that be!
  3. Update on SL mini use. After using our SL Mini for 4 hrs last Saturday we blew through 7 GB pretty fast. We had 2 iPads and a TV streaming to give you an idea. Based on our use and needs, we opted to upgrade to the unlimited use plan for $150 per month. This plan still allows to pause the service when not using it. Space EX makes it tantalizingly easy to switch plans. (Of course they do) cha ching! 😄 We are now in South Fork, CO overnighting at a CG for the evening. Upon our arrival, as soon as I deployed and plugged in the mini (5min) we were online and all set. This CG has given us another good trial run with the mini as the WiFi here is pretty much non existent. As mentioned perviously, the space saving portability of the mini, compact size, and ease of deployment are worthy of consideration if you think you might consider SL. Truly a game changer for us. Happy and Safe Travels!
  4. This is worth watching IMHO. It will be really interesting to see how this rolls out. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has introduced the much-anticipated Tesla Model Pi Phone. This innovative device aims to change the mobile phone industry. The Model Pi will compete with major brands like Apple and Samsung by using advanced technology to match their top smartphones. This launch marks Tesla's bold foray into the mobile arena, positioning the company as a formidable contender against the traditional tech giants that have long held sway over the market.
  5. Max Burner, We will definitely try and stop for a “look see” at Soldiers Stone Monument. Paying a tribute to brother and sister vets is a high priority for us. Thank you for the nugget! We will miss you by one week. Your trip sounds like a really great time! Post up some pics! Patriot🇺🇸
  6. Our meal was great and the host gave us get two free Taco cards and a desert on the house. John I think having a Torchy’s that close to home could be dangerous. 😋 😄 We could easily become regulars. Ha!
  7. Congratulations what a great accomplishment with wonderful memories!! I agree with @MAX Burner the Lobstah Rolls looks amazing! We gotta get back to Maine.
  8. After a great blueberry harvest we are finally back in beautiful Colorado! We are base camped for a few days here in Colorado Springs and the weather so far has been awesome. We are enjoying the cool 50 degree nighttime sleeping temps with our windows wide open and the cool desert breeze is great for sleeping. The day time temps have been in the 70’s to 80’s. Our plan to make our way to South Fork, then Durango and onto Montrose. Eventually we will end up in Grand Junction to get the 5 leaf pack installed. From there we will head to Utah, Wyoming and possibly Montana. If in Colorado Springs area check out Torchys Taco’s 🔥 for all kinds of yummy tacos with a kick! The “foodies we are” Ha! 😝 Safe Travels to All! Sunrise, and sunsets are my favorite times of the day. SL mini deployed - a total game changer! My lovely bride enjoying lunch. Needless to say we skipped evening dinner.
  9. As promised here is a quick update on our SL mini field use. It’s a game changer for us. No more local WiFi or cell hot spot to think about. We are presently in Colorado Springs and the mini took about 8 min to deploy and we were up and running. Certainly the wide open Colorado skies allowed for quick recognition of the satellites. I do think the mini will serve us well. It’s a cinch to pack up and stow. Onward to South Fork and then beautiful Wolf Creek Pass, then make our way to Durango, Ouray, Montrose and then Grand Junction. Cheers all! We are happy to be traveling!
  10. “Two is one and one is none” We always keep an extra set of “all things keys” locked up inside a locked center console vault in our TV. The helpful option allows for coded keyless entry into our TV.
  11. Ours works for both.
  12. After a lot of due diligence and briefly looking at a few other brands, the quality we saw during our factory tour sold us! We are very happy with our 2020 OLEll. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. 😊
  13. @Mike Spies The search window is your friend here on the forum. 😊 There are lots of topics that have been discussed previously which you may find helpful. Here is a link from a previous older post on locking down an Oliver. I agree with @John Dorrer the proven lock is likely the best in the industry as far as securing your hitch. Fortunately there have not been many reports of stolen Olivers. 👍🏻
  14. @Heather and Eric You can also use a hair dryer to help loosen the double sided tape to get the adhesive to warm up and release from the gelcoat. If you warm it up enough you may not need to use Goof Off.
  15. Love the tech!
  16. @wolfdds a very helpful post and glad Mike Sharpe was able to get you the link and info. Thank you for posting. It might be super helpful if the mods or the site administrator would create a “sticky reference” page on the forum for links such as this. It would be super helpful when traveling and may require fewer phone calls to Oliver Service. It would be much easier to find links than using the forum search function. How about it mods can you discuss the idea of a sticky reference page for links like this to be created? Forum members thoughts? Thanks!
  17. I have it and it serves us well. There are lots of choices and I think that having protection at the pole is better than nothing. A link that helped with my decision to go with Progressive. https://www.progressiveindustries.net/portable-hardwired-comparisons
  18. A good practice!✅
  19. @Mike Spies The Oliver Owners FB page is also a great source of info if you do social media. Often solutions to problems have already been addressed which you can easily find with the search function. The Mods have always been helpful and there is always a chance you might link up with another Oliver owner who lives near you. Onward!🇺🇸
  20. It has not been my experience in 4 years of ownership. Annually or often after a really long trip, I go through and check all the fasteners I can find and snug them down as needed. I prefer medium strength blue locktite where applicable. We have always run 55 psi in our tires since the day we took delivery of XPLOR in June of 2020.
  21. Agree. I choose to allow my external shore power portable EMS take the “sacrificial” ⚡️spike, surge or lighting strike ⚡️vs replacing my Oliver onboard EMS several thousand miles from home potentially interrupting a planned trip. No overthink needed here. 🤔😄 Onward!
  22. Yes, the mini is really compact and easy to deploy. I suspect the price will come down on the mini as well at some point. I like the pause feature in the roaming service as well.👍🏻
  23. As new as the mini is there are a few other protective case options out there and more to come. I just wanted something a fairly robust with a handle on it and the option to add the sea sucker suction cups for a possible roof mount. Still thinking this through..We’ll see how it works out.
  24. @Zodd great report and thanks for weighing in! 👍🏻 We look forward to getting some seat time with the mini. We are headed west very soon and will also post up on our use of the mini. We usually don’t stream a lot so likely the 50GB will serve us well. The compact mini being as small as it is sure will be easy to deploy and stow as needed. I look forward to any further feedback as you use your mini. Nice TV by the way!
  25. Looking awesome Bill and a great report!
