Jasper is one of my favorite little towns. Once you find a parking spot, everything else is walkable. The old theater is now a brewery. Great bakeries, excellent laundromat (pizza restaurant above), and super nice folks. Short drive from jasper National campground. Icefield parkway visitors center is a lovely place to spend the day, and night, camping in the parking lot, for a small fee overnight. (No reservations. ) We didn't care much for Banff, too touristy/disney-fied, but really enjoyed lovely Lake Louise. Have a great trip.

That's a nice looking light, @Dave and Kimberly. After 15 years, I have one dead puck light (chrome) in the bath, and replacement is tough to find, and about $50. Maybe I could swap out the light over the stove, and in the closet and pantry, with these, and reuse my original switched fixtures. Hmmm.

Frank C, we hope you enjoy the next chapter, as well. Drop in once in awhile, and share some of the new adventures. You'll always be welcome here.

Happy Thanksgiving. We're camping with some friends for the week. Trash can turkey on the fire, weather permitting. If not, ham on the grill. Have a great holiday, everyone!

It's indeed possible, with additional equipment, usually. You need to analyze existing equipment,to know if it's capable of new load.

Barkeeper's friend,,seal with ceramabryte stainless steel cleaner. We have two stainless utility sinks from costco. No issues from either. A friend bought the same one, and got a stripe of rust down the front. Different water. He did the above method. All good.

I think Brevard could host a Hallmark movie. Little Sylva, a county away, is another little gem. Small town Western North Carolina is worth the travel. Imo.

Day/Night Window Shade Questions

Boy scout/girl scout/Ollie scout patch. Love it! -
You may also wish to speak to Xantrex customer service, along with ott. There were some software/firmware upgrades over the years that might help you. You'll need to stick a phone camera down there, if labels aren't visible. Just a thought, as we don't know much about your particular unit. My xantrex (on our boat) ois older than yours.

Welcome. You're no stranger to fiberglass, based on your history of ownership. Well look forward to your photos and adventures, as you get #89 back on the road! Lots of us here, when/if you have questions.

Greenbelt is nice, and walkable to the train station. We've also stayed at a regional park, (pohick bay) and used Franconia station, but that was many years ago. Used to be a "trolley/jitney" from the spr8ngfield mall lot. Lots of parking there. If the trolley doesn't run anymore, uber could work. It was quite lovely there. Deer around and in the campsite most nights. In the country, but a few miles to the metro, probably a 40 minute metro ride to the national mall. Ride discounted for off peak hours. If you're thinking about pohick, I'd call and ask about parking and transport. Greenbelt is just a walk down the road, and across the highway, to the train station, then transfer to the metro. I liked pohick much better than Greenbelt, camping wise, but convenience is in Greenbelt favor. We haven't camped in either for at least ten years. Times change.

@Jason Foster, just bring your camera, and a credit card. Transylvania county NC is full of beautiful waterfalls, and picturesque little towns. (Always garlic in the cabinet... but never sighted a vampire. Just pleasant humans.)

You may or may not want to add an inverter, if you mostly boondock, and have 4 t105 batteries. In 2010 or so, we added a small inverter (1000 watts), because we only had 2 x 105 ah agm group 31 batteries, primarily to charge our laptop. (Could power some small devices, not much else.) Replaced the laptop with a tablet (12v charger) , rarely needed anything that wasn't 12v, and wanted the space the inverter used. So, it was gone. Much depends on your camping style, and your battery power. If we really need 110, a generator handles the need. We can also use the small genset to charge our agm batteries. We don't have a microwave, and we tend to enjoy living without a lot of extra 110 power "stuff." Everyone has a different camping style. It's nice to be able to design your system based on your style.

He was, til he discovered he didn't have an inverter. Thanks for trying.
-
Well, I'd say that's odd, considering you have pretty much everything that could be had in 2019. We added an inverter to our 2008. After a few years, removed it,,as we rarely used it.

Unless your solar is not original, you have a panel somewhere, for the prowatt. Look under the beds and seats. I know it seems like a crazy scavenger hunt, but it has to be somewhere.
-
Look low, also. Some early trailers had panels mounted low, like under beds. Or, under seats .
-
Maxburner's #226, like our older trailer, probably didn't come with a battery cutoff switch. We had to install one. Even so, when working on electrical problems, we disconnect from shore power, AND cover solar panels with dark blue moving blankets. Belt and suspenders. Nothing in, nothing out, to spark.

@Rivernerd, @Cort, this one, circled, in red? Thank you rivernerd. Cort, don't forget to turn it off when you're done with 120 needs. Inverter will drain your battery, even with nothing on 120 running. Best of luck.
-
Anyone else online right now with a @circa 2029, with a xantrex, who can advise Cort where to look, please?
-
@Cort, @Steph and Dud B, the button for your inverter is NOT on the solar panel. It's a different control panel for your inverter. Do you know where the control panel is for your inverter? (Probably Xantrex, in 2019.) My trailer is much older. I don't have your equipment.

Those of us who rarely use a generator, and then only use a lightweight genset, don't mind the drill. I can lift our honda 1000, or or Westinghouse 2000 something, with one hand, and I'm not "that strong." @Badger, how do you use your generator, or how do you envision needing it, if you don't have one, now?
-
@Steph and Dud B caught it, i think. In a 2019, your tv/cd player were probably 12v. Lights are 12v. 110 outlets will only work if your inverter is on. And, if you have sufficient battery to power them. Or, if you're on shore power.
-
If you don't boondock, agm or fla are your best friends. We bought our 6 or 7 year old agms at a local, trusted battery store. You can check pricing of similar batteries at big box stores and auto supply. Batteries are heavy, so shipping increases prices often on amazon.
