  1. Thank you. Tampa Bay. We are now about as ready as we can get. We will see how it plays out.
  2. We are switching from cleanup mode, to storm prep mode. I've never seen back to back storms like this. Hurricane Milton will definitely mess with many communities in Florida. Crazy crap. We rarely get west to east storms. Back tomorrow, maybe.
  3. I've had a hard time responding. Times here in Florida and in our western north carolina neighborhood are very hard. We are very grateful that all our friends, family, and neighbors are alive, and safe. Stuff can be replaced. As you who are affected work through recovery, PLEASE be very careful. When you are tired, and emotions are high, it's easy to misstep, or not see a hidden hazard. We are working still on Florida cleanup, ours, family and neighbors, and will not be going to nc till we are not a greater part of the problem. Our community has been amazing. Everyone has worked together to help each other. This is what we do, as normal folks. In our part of Florida, we pretty much have it handled. We are more accustomed to the immense devastation. (Sometimes, we get almost numb.) Please pray for wnc, and support the true helping organizations, if you can. Grateful is my most common feeling these days. Followed by guilt. Everyone in my circle may be affected, even losing everything, but we are alive, uninjured,,and seeing the dawn bringing a new day. This is not true for so many families. My heart is broken for all of them. God bless and keep those who lost loved ones. And for those who lost their homes. If you are the praying kind, please join me. This storm affected so many. Across the southeast.
  4. E2h , I think, means heater not detecting gas supply. Is stovetop working?
  5. Two great systems.
  6. So, lucky you! Two great young assistant engineers. Your Ollie is full of great smiles! Great mod. Great look.
  7. And, then, there was the Wally Bee. Looks a bit like a UK fiberglass trailer of its time but, hey, it's very cool. Aluminum was cheaper, back in the day. Fiberglass was a newer, expensive process https://www.airstream.com/blog/airstreams-foray-into-fiberglass/
  8. I happened to park next to a Titan XD at the grocery store, earlier today. Great looking truck.
  9. Yes. Those are really nice, and many of us have them, @jd1923 Thanks for the update, as it's been reported before, but newcomers don't always look at older posts. None of us have bodies that are getting "younger", unfortunately. A few $$ to ease the process is often appreciated.
  10. Nan, which water heater do you have? If your water heater is a standard six gallon, it could be set to electric, not gas, and work if you have hookups, but no propane. Try the stove and see if it will light. I always did this first, before trying to run the fridge on gas, when we had a 3way. The stove top uses more gas, helps to clean out any "air bubbles," in my opinion. Every 3way I ever had in the last few decades could throw error codes on the main panel. Number and letter, or just numbers. Which fridge do you have?
  11. Congratulations, Scott. There are several other XD owners on our forum. Nissan seats, in my rental experience, offer great comfort, and support. Hope it works out for you. And, your wife's comfort.
  12. If you are not getting gas, most fridges will try three time with the "clicking noise, " and then throw an error code on the display to indicate "no fuel." Sometimes, with a 3 way, you'll hear the clicking noise, but not the little " whoosh" when it lights off. Are you showing any error codes on the fridge display, Nan, when you try to change to gas?
  13. @rideadeuce, so happy to see your young engineering assistant and his great smile crop up in your photos from time to time. So important to get the young ones interested and involved.
  14. Nan, if freezer is frozen, fridge is probably actually working fine. In Florida, summer, I'd stick some frozen water gallons in the fridge compartment when we had a 3 way. At close to 100 degrees, your empty 3way could take well over 24 hours to come to temp, if it ever does. Some "cold sink" could help, ie frozen water gallons. You might try opening the grate at the top (outside) to increase airflow. It's tough to exhaust heat to high ambient heat. If you're leaving tomorrow, it's a waste. Load it and go, cold non perishables. Traveling down the road will increase airflow, as well. Get groceries in Apex.
  15. Truma furnace, or water heater? I'm guessing furnace. Check to make sure air intake is not impaired/blocked .
  16. Check the bpr site for closures and detours. Driving even parts of the bpr, and Shenandoah, is an amazing experience. We've driven both a number of times, and always enjoyed it. We like the "slow pace." Thanks to someone who brought up my 2008 post. We were on the bpr this spring, again, near Asheville.
  17. Mineral oil. Wd40. Orange goof off. Whatever is in the cabinet. Original goof off is probably the least "work."
  18. I just spent the weekend in Iowa and Minnesota. My cousin's son picked me up at the airport, and drove us around Des Moines area (freeway/county paved/ gravel combos) in a late model gmc sierra 2500 duramax. Ride in the back seat was absolutely comfy. Great seats, great ride. It's a long ways down for my short legs from the cab. Grateful for grab handles and smurf steps/bars. Great truck. And beautiful. Not for me, as I don't need it, with a shorty elite I, but a very comfy/lux ride, all around.
  19. The key.
  20. I'd use blue. But it's up to you Red is quite difficult to remove, when you have the need
  21. I can sticky it. But honestly, ours failed six years ago, pulled it,,looked at it, and got a replacement at a local store. One of the few spares we carry. It's a pita,to raise/lower the front jack manually. Of course, since we carry a spare, we've not had a failure since. Usual culprit us our front jack connection. Gets more weather.
  22. Practical Sailor is my favorite site for info on waxes, lubes, adhesives, etc etc etc. The consumer reports of the fiberglass works. Many tests. No kickbacks. We own a boat, on wheels, imo
  23. If you're not using bolts, washers, and nuts, maybe try petmatex blue/medium strength. It's supposed to bond to plastics , ie frp, ie, fiberglass.
  24. A very good question.
  25. I use blue, ordinarily. Red is quite permanent. Blue generally does the job, but you can still remove the fastener, if necessary. But, Loctite is def your friend.
