  1. When I had this happen it was the EMS relay not pulling in once the power was confirmed good. Called Progressive Industries and they sent me a replacement unit to install. Upon additional inspection, it appeared the coil wiring shorted out thereby not allowing the magnetic force to develop pulling in the switch. All was good once replaced. I now carry some 10g Wago 221-612 wire clips with me so I can wire around the relay if it happens to me out on an extended trip. Not idea, but I have a WatchDog power checker I use before connecting to the power anyway. When bypassing the relay one would have to connect L3-->T3, L2-->T2, and L1-->T1 with the Wago connectors to bypass the relay directly under these connections. Once your new unit comes in you would just replace the whole unit. I looked everywhere for a replacement relay to carry with me but the part number on the relay came up empty on multiple google searches. This is the Wago Connector mentioned above. You will need to carry 3 with you to bypass relay, if needed.

  3. This is the Jack stand/ jack we carry with us. It has worked great anytime we needed to lift the tire. Highly recommend.

  5. My wife and I would be interested as we are frequently in the WACO area, and this is close to home so to speak.

Having driven the F150 V8 5.0 pulling the LE 1 and now pulling the LE 2 with a F250 6.7 I can honestly say there is no comparison between the two and the overall reduction in driving stress with the diesel 6.7 has been a big win for us. Our F150 pulled the lighter LE 1 trailer fine and got between 13 and 17 mpg with varying hills and/or head winds. The best number we got was when driving the Natchez Trace Parkway (50 mph and no stop signs for hundreds of miles) during our last trip home from the Oliver factory. So far, we have put about 10K miles on the F250 pulling the LE2 trailer and have been averaging around 16-17 mpg going speed limit speeds on our trip back to Texas from Oregon and a couple of trips to Colorado. The biggest win for me along with the additional torque the diesel engine provides is the awesome range we get with the larger fuel tank and higher fuel mileage (over 600 miles). I have only had to fill up the DEF two times since purchasing the truck about 12K miles ago given that the DEF was low when purchased. We have offset some of the fuel costs via our fuel discounts we get via the OpenRoads program, Good Sams and the Bucee's 5% fuel discount for local purchases as we have 6 locations near us. Overall, I would say we use about the same as we did using our F150 to pull the LE1 as we currently do pulling the LE2 with the F250 from a cost basis. One additional lesson we learned during our trip to the Grand Canyon in the F150/LE1 was that the 5.0 engines does not like the lower octane fuels sold in AZ as their normal grade. As a result of excessive engine knocks, we had to purchase the premium or mid-grade to keep the engine knocks down to a minimum. If I had to purchase another Truck today I would definitely go with the Diesel 6.7 as it has been flawless for us. In addition, the exhaust break on the F250 has been wonderful when going down those steep grades in the mountains as well. From all my reading tho, you need to stay on top of having the oil changes done regularly as well as the fuel filters changed about every 10-15k miles.
  7. I just replaced the one in our new older trailer with a alternate brand. The one used in the 2017 Oliver was hard to find (Atwood) and about 40% higher in price. The installation was easy enough as one of the two supplied faceplates covered the existing hole and only required a pilot hole for the new screws. Below is the link to the one I installed.   9. As many of you already know, my wife and I recently had to replace our Hull #664 trailer with a slightly older Hull #293 due to a rollover accident. We have really enjoyed the step-up to the larger trailer and really like some of the "older" features such as the cabinet latches. Since purchasing, we have slowly upgraded the trailer with some of the modifications we had made to our LE1 such as the black window seals. The previous owner had elected to not have the front and rear "Oliver" symbol decals installed. Unfortunately, my wife and I found that we really missed having them on and have had several people confuse our LE2 with a Casita whereas we had never had that happen with our 2020 LE1 with the decals. Good news is that Oliver parts had our colors of our side stripes (Midnight Metallic and Silver) in stock and were slightly over $200 for a complete trailer set (minus the side stripes). Question for the experts out there: Do you happen to know the measurements on the placement of the Decal on the Front? I just want to make sure I don't have it too low or high and not match other trailers at a rally in the future. Thanks in advance. Also, if anyone has some expert advise on installing decals I would be open to learning before going off on my own. LOL
  10. At all of the places I have used the card at, the TDS card is your "credit card" that is used at the pump. Basically, swipe card, enter pin, select if you want to purchase DEF (not discounted) after filling up with diesel. Complete the fill and hang the pump handle up. That's pretty much it unless you selected DEF and you would then fill up your DEF tank with the other nozzle. As for the discounts, the amount varies at each location. You have an app "OpenRoads" that will show you the locations and amount of discount at each location as well as any transaction fee (usually around $0.40) that might apply. So far our discounts have ranged around $0.20-$0.60 per gallon. There is no cost to use the program so we see it as a win-win. The stores we have used the card are are mostly LOVES, Allsups, 7-11 truck centers, Stripes, etc. There are no Flying-J or Pilots in the program so we use our GoodSams discount at those locations.   11. We have the OpenRoads (TSD) card and have used in on our last two trips over 3,000. The convenience of the larger lanes, cost savings, and the rapid fill rate at the commercial lanes have been a game changer to the positive. We have recommended to several of our friends as we have been very happy with the program so far.
  12. Just a quick follow up to let everyone know both Cyndi and I continue to do well with no hidden injuries from our rollover accident. In addition, we were successful in finding and purchasing a 2017 Oliver Legacy Elite II this past week and have just now returned to our home location after successfully making some of our originally planned stops from our interrupted vacation on Apr 2nd. It is truly amazing we were uninjured in the accident and able to get back on our feet with truck and trailer within the remaining two weeks of our scheduled vacation. Thanks again for all the support the Oliver community has given us these past few weeks. This alone should convince anyone on the fence about purchasing the best built travel trailer on the market.   13. Great ideas from everyone on how we might track this individual down. I even tried driving around on Google maps to see if I could see it parked in someone's driveway. No such luck yet. I am going to keep trying even if my wife thinks it is way out there. Thanks again to everyone's support for us during this unique event. My wife, Midnight the cat, and I continue to feel fine with no physical trauma other than the mental part of replaying the rollover in our minds. I have had several of my co-workers contact me and let me know they have purchased a dash-cam after hearing our story.   14. Topgun2 and all others that responded, Thanks for your kind words and support. My wife and I are truly blessed to have the Oliver community's support and guidance. We are still feeling great with no lasting issues or pain. I do wake up each morning replaying the incident in my mind. I am sure it will take awhile for this to go away. I still feel confident that I made the right decision to avoid the other driver as we are both still here and able to let others know about our incident. The Oliver trailer handled perfectly throughout the event but the gravel combined with some signs and obstacles I think initiated the rollover. I agree it was surprising to see the trailer separate at the seams but at travel speed I am sure there were extreme stresses put on the fiberglass shells. I think our desire to seek out another Oliver is a testament to our thoughts on how we feel about the overall quality of the Olivers and how they handle when towing. We were able to find us a replacement used truck here at a local Ford dealer as they informed us that Ford was no longer taking orders for Super Duty trucks as of April 1st. This will allow us to move up to the Oliver LE2 as we think we will want to take longer trips. Our LE1 was perfect for us and had we not been involved in this accident, we would have kept it for many more years before even considering moving up to the 2. Also, When we came to a stop after the rollover, our truck and trailer was facing the opposite direction (East) from our West bound travel. We were still on the shoulder of the West bound lane. Attached is the video from the people following the East bound Dodge truck before the incident. Please note that they were recording him as he was driving all over the road prior to coming at us. Sadly, they were tryin to stay far away from him so as not to be in an accident and therefore you really can not see a license plate on the rear of the truck. It does offer support for the driver of the Dodge not being under control of his vehicle. As for my micro SD card in the dash cam, it appears we corrupted it when trying to download the files to my iPhone using a cheap adapter. We dowloaded t the video of right up until the incident but not the actual crash and captured some screen shots of the phone of the crash video attached above.   15. As a side note and something my wife both found somewhat funny during this difficult time was when we had several people tell us that our "boat" did not look so good. I had to show them a picture of the truck and trailer together for them to see it was a RV and not a Boat.
  16. All, We are down but not out with our RV travel plans going forward. This weekend, we were on day three of our planed 3 week trip to Southern Utah to enjoy the National Parks. We stopped off on Friday night (day 3) at a nice little NM State Park (Oasis State Park). Our morning was relaxing and we had plans to travel to Fort Sumner to see Billy the Kids grave. Our truck and camper at Oasis State Park. Not to much into our morning drive somewhere between Clovis, NM and Fort Sumner, NM, we were faced with a truck coming into our lane at the last moment. We were not sure if it was a game of chicken for him or someone having a medical emergency. My dash cam caught the approaching truck and driver. In a split second I had to decide to have a head-on or try to avoid. I chose to avoid the head-on option as my years as an EMT is etched into my brain. As a result of the rapid turn to the right and the upcoming curve, the truck/trailer exited the roadway and started to slide. No control at this point! We rolled approximately 3 times and came to rest on the driver's side. The side airbags deployed and my wife and I (and the cat) were unharmed. Sadly, the guy who ran us off the road kept going and almost took out the young family traveling behind us according to the driver.... So glad he missed them! There was a nice young couple with a baby that had been following us for the past 10-20 miles and he was successful in breaking out the back glass for us to exit the vehicle. We also met a couple that had been following the driver of the dodge truck and were filming him as he as driving all over the road. Thankfully, they stayed with us to provide the video and make a statement to the Sheriff Deputy that responded. As stated earlier, both my wife, cat, and I were unharmed as we must have had angels watching over us. The responding EMS and Fire crews from Fort Sumner were exceptional, in that, they really went above and beyond in helping us with getting us storage bins from a local dollar store and driving my wife back to Clovis to get a U-haul truck for us to drive home. One guy drove home to get us a cat carrier for our 17 year old cat who was quite scared at this point! What an awesome individual. We were at the scene about 5 hours as the drive back to Clovis was 40-min each way and we had to pick up all our belongings. It was a long 700+ mile trip back home in a less than comfortable U-Haul truck. We are actively seeking to locate a used Ollie LE II for us to purchase as we LOVED our trailer and we are ready to get back out and enjoy life seeing our wonderful country. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend you get a dash camera as it has really made the investigation and insurance discussions go much smoother.   17. Quick follow-up to let everyone know the new warranty replacement unit arrived late yesterday and now the trailer is back up and running without issue. Kudos to Progressive Industries for having wonderful warranty process and quick response (3-days).
  18. All, Talked with Progressive Industries tech support this morning and they are sending me a replacement unit as it has failed. Great support with a response to warranty request within about 10 min. I hope to get it within a few days. I have the trailer out of storage right now so the batteries are staying charged via the solar and we don't need the A/C this time of year. Think I will carry a couple of WAGO 221-612 lever-nuts with me on future trips just in case it ever fails when on a long trip so I can wire around it without much difficulty. And to the questions above: Yes unplugged and plugged back in with several sources many times (30 amp, 15 amp, generator (with neutral plug) and same result as failure appears to be the lugs not pulling in (Solenoids) as designed.
  19. Team, We just returned from an uneventful trip this weekend and upon arriving home we went to plug the trailer in as normal. All readings on the Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C read as normal (122V, 60HZ, 0 AMPS and no errors) but no power was reaching the trailer. Checked the out legs on the EMS and confirmed no voltage on the output legs of the unit. Tried the bypass switch but it did not solve the problem. The red light on the board is illuminated and the remote display continues to function without issue. Has anyone else had their EMS fail? If so, what resolution were you offered either from Oliver or ProgressiveIndustries.net? It is the weekend right now so I will reach out to discuss with Jason and his team in the morning but thought I would see if others had experienced this type of failure. Would defiantly be a bummer if we were out on the road as there is no easy way to bypass the unit without wiring around it. I will report back with our findings and ultimate solution once we hear back and get the issue resolved.

I just had my hubs off and can confirm for our 2020 model Elite I the parts are as follows: Outer bearing: 15123, Inner bearing: 25580, Seal 10-36 In addition, I contacted Dexter and they sent me the build sheet for my axle that confirms the numbers I got for the outer bearing and other parts. I had asked Jason (Oliver Service) prior to taking off the hubs to clean the brakes what the spare parts are so I can have on-hand in the future is ever needed on our travels. His list was Bearing Kit is #BK3-200 Includes: 14125A Bearing & Race 25580 Bearing & Race 10-36 Seal So I am assuming Jason was referencing a prior year model perhaps as the outer bearing he stated was different than the one install in our trailer. Would recommend you check the outer bearing number installed in your trailer prior to purchasing a spare set or better yet get with Dexter and provide them your axle serial number so they can provide it to you. If requested, I can upload the data sheet Dexter sent me as an example of you would get. On a side note, the bearing installed by Dexter were stamped "China" so they are not the Timken "made in USA" bearings everyone whats to have. I purchased timken bearings to have on-hand if I decide to upgrade during my next repack of the bearings. Also does not hurt to have several seals so you can repack bearing whenever the miles, time or when you feel like it hits.
  21. I think if you look closely at the photo of the LE2 being towed by an SUV on Oliver’s main web page you will see it has these awnings installed. Looks like the photo was taken somewhere in South Utah but not sure.
  22. I just got back from the Oliver Service Department and had them install the one I was unable to push into place. Happy to report the suspension now has the correct upward travel with the installation of the 5" shackles and the annoying suspension squeaks are a thing of the past. While there, I looked at another Ollie I awaiting to be picked up and I am happy to report both the correct shackles were installed along with the hanger bushing. In addition, we had the shower floor squeak fixed while at the service department for the trailer's annual checkup (re caulk, bearing repack, system checks, etc). Spent a significant amount of time talking with the "Trailer Whisperer" Jason and he said the shower floor was not cut correctly from the factory and was rubbing up against the sides. Happy to report we no longer have the squeaking floor!

  25. Welcome to the Texas Ollie family. We have had our trailer a little less than an year and have been enjoying the many State Parks here in Texas. We too, are headed to CO in July to spend some time in the cooler weather. Perhaps with so many of us going to Colorado this July we will have an opportunity to have an "Ollie Sighting".
